They don't want other women to be happy, and they also don't want men who rejected them to be happy. I can't imagine going on a bad date and bashing them in some Facebook group a decade later. Just seems really petty and pathetic.

Yeah mostly American and Canadian for now, I think most countries have better privacy laws that stop this garbage. Even as an American who's been on a lot of dates from dating apps, most of the the girls I've met aren't in my local group. The only ones that are members were the ones who were awful dates or canceled last minute or whatever lol, more proof of what level of women are taking part in all this stuff.

It's definitely bottom of the barrel types in these Facebook groups. Nobody with any sort of decency or intelligence (or life) is gonna be hanging out in some creepy Facebook group spreading gossip and bashing local dudes they don't know. Just such trashy behavior.

Those groups really shouldn't exist. They hide behind the original goal of safety, but unverified petty gossip, bullying, and bashing exes has zero relation to safety. It seems like a lot of AWDSTG members want to keep them around for entertainment value or as a tool for revenge, which is honestly really disgusting.

The whole setup of these fb groups seems like it's encouraging people to bash and lie about their exes. Like none of this seems like it'll lead to honest or accurate information.

It's also funny because they'll bash the hell out of guys for dating multiple women, but when a woman dates multiple guys, it's all "yass queen, get it girlie!!". The double standards and hypocrisy are wild. Not to mention they'll put guys on blast for stupid shit like ghosting or being flaky, while they're doing the exact same things themselves. Anyone taking part in these groups is toxic and undateable garbage though, not missing out on much.

Definitely. Like a few friends gossiping away or bashing exes in a group chat, not really a big deal. But it's crazy to me when pro-AWDTSG people compare these groups of 50k-100k random women in their city to a group chat of 5 or 10 close friends. Like the scale, the impact, the trustworthiness of it, just so clearly different from a small private group chat.

Eh I think there needs to be more guidelines than that. Even if it's truthful, a lot probably doesn't need to be shared with 50k random people in a Facebook group. Thing like sharing private fetishes or health conditions, sexual preferences, private details about his genitals, etc. Those might all be 100% truthful, but I think most would have issues with them being shared. If it's all truthful, and it's all related to actual safety issues, then yes there's no issue.

Yeah it seems like something like this pops up every few years. At least on The Dirty people could see what was being said about them and could respond to defend themselves. Somehow these girls on Facebook came up with an even trashier and less honest system lol. But any sort of gossip database/Yelp reviews for private people is never going to work. It's wild. Imagine if the legal system was like this. "You're charged with a crime, but we're not telling you which one or who's accusing you of it, there's no evidence, and you can't defend yourself. But 50,000 random people in your city get to see all the details, not you though 😇" Like what lol? They came up with the absolute dumbest system. Not sure how they don't realize these groups are just gonna lead to a bunch of bashing and made up stories for revenge.

Exactly. It's wild that they can post whatever fairy tales they want in these groups (often anonymously and with no proof), and guys have to go to the effort of disproving the claims. It's like if you got charged with a crime but aren't told which one, there's no evidence of the crime, you're assumed guilty at the start, and you're not allowed at your own trial to defend yourself lol. These groups are just ridiculous and shouldn't exist.

I just assumed it was someone who couldn't spell lol. These Facebook gossip groups don't exactly attract the most intelligent or sane individuals. But yeah I've seen people from a bunch of different states in my local group, they don't discriminate much with letting people join in on the gossip and shit talking.

Not sure why people are focusing on the story "possibly being true". The problem here is that this person anonymously posted on Facebook that another person had HIV with no proof, and tens of thousands of people are now reading it and blindly believing it.
