I think feminism started out with this great idea that if somebody does not feel comfortable with their assigned gender role that they should be allowed to live however the hell they want to without facing constant ridicule and bigotry. Now we have somehow reached a point where it is about forcing everybody into the kind of role that they think is the best.

I kinda get that you would sue if somebody beats you into a pulp because you broke into their house (I don't really agree but i kind of get the reasoning) but suing because of a DOG INJURING YOU IN SOMEBODIES PROPERTY YOU BROKE INTO/TRESPASSED?! Like is everyone supposed to have their dogs at home leashed with a muzzle strapped on just in case somebody decides to trespass or break into your property? Maybe people should also shower in a gown in case somebody looks into your window and feels offe…

I think the real problem is that people have to even discuss her intentions like this because apparently she did not make it clear what her intentions are. If you have a project that is taking a while it is usually a good idea to at least keep the people invested in it updated about it.

Look I am for all practical purposes an Atheist as well, I just don't pretend that I am somehow above people who believe the way they see the universe is the only right one, because that's the same shit I'm doing as well.

So believing in Santa or anything at all is a religion then? And what I am attempting to say is that yes, even as an Atheist you need to believe in some things. Of course its all based on evidence and rationality, but before all those things you have to believe that observation and logic are reliable tools to research the nature of the universe. There is no way that you can prove that reality as we perceive it is "real". Most Atheists seem to believe in science and all. And don't give me that sp…

I always understood atheist not as somebody who lacks belief but somebody who believes there are no gods. Not believing in anything really or not being sure about something sounds more like an Agnostic thing to do.

Clearly whoever wrote that article knows nothing about guns. If you keep the same caliber and make the thing shorter and lighter the recoil is even worse for the shooter.

Moving to a country you like seems easier than changing the country you live in to your ideals. It's a pretty weak excuse for staying somewhere.

It is because the courts are 100% fair and would never convict an innocent man. And after they free him of charges he will naturally never be thought of as an rapist again

Oh so you'd make a distinction between bad writer and bad storyteller. In that way I guess it does make sense.

I think there are plenty of real reason to call him a bad writer. This here is just nitpicking.

I think quotas like this are bad for both women and men. Women in that position are less respected and resented, because it is assumed that they got there because of this quota and not their qualification and men for the obvious reasons (not getting the job they are better qualified for I mean). I think people should hire solely on qualification and not gender.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
