If she is guilty of infidelity, she was most likely completely done with the relationship before making the decision to disrespect you in that fashion. Unless it's a miracle situation (here are exceptions to every rule and I've read in countless books stories about women that cheated and did the hard work to own repairing the relationship), however, I've never met one that I knew. This is possibly because that's not that kind of thing you mention, even to friends, there is a certain social judge…

On my first day of marriage counseling group therapy, sitting in a room with 50% men and 50% women, a doc sits down and says something along the lines of "Men have some basic needs such as sex/loyalty/honesty, this roughly translates to respect"....he paused a moment, and then said "Women also have some basic needs such as security/family commitment/communication, this roughly translates to...well...money". The entire room goes silent, you can hear a pin drop in the room it's so quite...he quick…

In my opinion + or - nine years from your partner is the sweet zone, given that 90.6% of couples are in this zone (according to a fairly modern population survey), it's kind of hard to argue with that logic. Of course your current age and kids ages are a huge factor and would change that logic pretty quickly. For age 37, I don't see a thing wrong with 28, I think on this topic it's all about opinions.

I would have still gotten married for sure, my kids are amazing, and there isn't any sacrifice I wouldn't have done or wouldn't still do for them. Regarding the sex turning off, I regret not communicating needs and asking to see a therapist early on. Ignoring an issue that destroys a relationship like a perceived withholding of sex (manipulation), especially when adultery is discovered, that can cause a downward spiral of events that are very tough to recover from even in the strongest relations…

I would recommend spending a few min watching "top 20 dirty tricks in divorce court", especially if you are just starting this process. How I wish I would have known some of the basics you can learn in a couple hours on a free youtube video (I didn't run across any of that until I had already made every mistake you can make). Rule #1 (in most states), don't move out, it's your house too. Often times, they can flip you being compassionate and offering to be the one to move out as the one that lef…

The wisdom you will gain at the end of this journey is worth far more than $500k, in my opinion. I have compassion for what you are going thru, and I wish you the best.

My advice would be remove any thought or reference to yourself as a "sad single" guy, and view it as a survivor of being married to woman that hit below the belt, and disrespected you in the worst possible. What you are experiencing is the result of insane amounts of anxiety, shock, even PTSD and total mistrust of others for the short term future that are the result of someone you trusted completely abusing your trust. I want to inspire you to do what others have already commented, use this time…

Man I completely understand the thought process you just described, and I can tell you, it does get better. I think the answer to your question is, time. I spent the better part of year trying to process and finally just had to add to my knowledge bank that people like that really do exist, more than I realized. They have found that dishonesty and constant lying is profitable, and somehow, they seem to not be affected in anyway by guilt. I nearly lost 2 good friends because of my inability to ta…

I can almost promise you if your wife has NPD and was crappy enough to disrespect you by committing serial adultery, you do not want to know the "narrative' she shared, it is likely worse than you can possibly imagine. My ex lied to her own parents, my kids, everyone she works with, anyone that would buy her BS. Cut off all contact, avoid her like cancer. Might I recommend one of the newer apps/services that handles all communication with your narc, and treats her like she deserves. My wife comm…
