People who don't fear consequence have always done better The existence of Darwin Awards is evidence to the contrary. People who don't fear consequences do better in very specific circumstances: 1.) They're insulated from consequence due to a third party buffer. 2.) The consequences are deferred and the gains are temporary until the bill comes due. 3.) They genuinely get lucky. 4.) The consequences are trivial based on their current circumstances. Outside of the circumstances above. People who d…

Hence, a woman who shows up to a date with a series of job titles, a salary minimum, a savings account minimum, a "willingness to listen to my problems" minimum, and a checklist of lifetimes/wants desires is no different than a man who shows up to a date with a checklist comprised of cup sizes, waist to hip ratios, hair follicle density ratio chart, body fat %, BMI, and statements on the desired frequency of sex and all sexual dealbreakers. Great comment overall, but the parallel you made is wha…

Excellent dismantling of this poorly thought out screed. I would say some people are victims of themselves and harm others due to their inability to reason coherently. OP should be grateful that you've performed sound logic for them Philosophy would greatly help individuals like the OP. The problem is that although it can help them they may not have the capacity to comprehend it or incorporate it properly.

Great observation! You'll find that these philosophies and perspectives come from the same think tank. The language just gets switched around a bit depending on if they're trying to appeal to men or women. For example Tradwife content is just Red Pill content for women.

This argument kind of collapses under how narrowly it defines “need.” If we reduce “need” to bare survival, then sure—humans technically only need minimal calories, water, and shelter to stay alive. A 10x10 room and flavorless gruel would meet that standard. But almost no one would seriously argue that this constitutes a meaningful or acceptable human life. So clearly, when people talk about “needs,” they’re not just talking about biological survival—they’re including psychological and social we…

Despite what society tells us about men and their supposed obligation to provide, enough women have been abandoned by men who claimed to support them that it has become clear that the stupidest thing a woman can do economically is be dependent on a man for survival. And despite your implication that women should be offended that men have no obligation to provide, the main demographic that are scandalized by this revelation are men. Very well said! A hard truth that is hard for many to accept.

You're absolutely correct. The “provider male” model is outdated not just because modern economies don’t reward physical strength, but because women are already excelling in the very areas that define success today. Education, cognitive skills, credentials, and collaboration. The data doesn’t show women needing providers; if anything, it shows a mismatch between their demonstrated capability and the outdated roles we still project onto them. Women that talk about a provider are often just losers…

Those angles don't rebuttal anything in the framework presented. The analysis is accurate, if you choose to disagree due to an inability or unwillingness to critically analyze internal narratives that is fine. This model strikes deeply at identity narratives and commonly accepted dogmas. It is natural to reject the truth when it threatens ego. If you have an actual rebuttal i'd love to hear it. If not that is cool too I hope you find happiness.

TL;DR: It's not really about Men vs Women or Sex vs Money. It's about where people fall on the spectrum of Romance and Materialism and how that manifest in choice and behavior. For Romantics money introduces market logic into intimate life which is innately dehumanizing. Sex between humans is natural and pure it will occur with or without the existence of money. Money is artificial and corrupting as it is arbitrarily distributed and has many variables that determine access to it. Attraction belo…

As a bonus you have these micro communities that are easily led by the nose and don't collaborate with each other on shared interests. They'd rather squabble over inconsequential things and get a cheap thrill punching across or down rather than come together and collaborate to actually improve their situation. Coalitions that can pull in one direction can make a real impact. Fragmented tribes are easily controlled and pit against each other. This sub being an excellent example. There is a parall…

The idea of the "singles tax” basically comes down to how expensive it is to operate as a party of one. When you’re single, there’s no cost-sharing. Rent, utilities, groceries, and everyday expenses all fall entirely on you, and you often end up paying more per unit because you can’t buy or split things at scale. On top of that, convenience tends to cost more when you’re handling everything yourself, so things like eating out, delivery, or paid services become more common. Meanwhile, families or…

People who profit from division and insecurity are winning the gender wars. Single people spend more trying to fill the void where a relationship should be. Insecurity, division, and tribalism are great for sales. A bit nefarious but it works reliably on enough people to make any negative externalities worth it to those who profit. Think of the gender wars and other forms of identity division as a highly sophisticated sales pitch that plays on universal grievances and base emotions.

This is more of a cultural thing. For some guys their entire identity and conception of masculinity is based on external qualities like finances and titles. This mindset causes relationship and romance to be viewed through a quasi lens of prostitution, transaction, and dependency. A woman that has the independence to do well without is threatening to this mindset because they believe women will only stay in a relationship where she is somewhat dependent. It's definitely a real phenomenon. At the…
