By your logic, its impossible to con someone unless they are mentally challenged. For many types of cons, and assuming a base knowledge of the various cons, yes.

How is men's bodily autonomy being preserved? It isn't.

How can we justify continuing to deny the body autonomy of men?

/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/23 05:33 PM
1

How do they?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/23 05:33 PM

But they don't want those men.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/23 04:13 PM

there's no really any reason for women to try to force themselves to find more men attractive. The reason is that they have a lot more very attractive guys to choose from. There are enough attractive men in the first place and some women just don't want to date whatsoever. If there were then we wouldn't see so many women being single long term.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/23 04:12 PM

There's nothing artificial about women lowering their standards.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/23 03:52 PM

Women would still have unrealistically high standards.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/23 03:42 PM

People do things because they have an incentive to. That's what incentive means.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/23 03:39 PM

THAT YOU KNOW. Huge qualifier there.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/23 03:38 PM

Do your own research. I don't owe you anything.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/23 03:21 PM

As it stands men don't have body autonomy. Any way you cut it, someone's going without some amount of body autonomy. Women may not like it, but the world isn't fair. Women just need to learn to accept that and try to make the best of their circumstances.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/23 03:18 PM
2

The woman would now see the man as attractive. That's what lowering your standards means.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/23 03:17 PM
2

Once the woman lowers her standards she would be attracted to the man.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/23 03:14 PM

If women had flexible sexualities they’d be dating the guys. They don't because they believe they'll be able to find someone better. Instead they’re finding people they’re attracted to or being single. The being single ones would be better off if they lowered their standards. Once women lower their standards they will be attracted to that guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/23 03:10 PM

Women's incentive to change is that they have more attractive men to choose from. Regardless, the world isn't fair, and women need to learn to accept that.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/23 03:03 PM

I never said everybody, and women have flexible sexualities.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/23 03:02 PM

Many ways, just look to psychology.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/23 03:02 PM

Why? Because now she "magically" has all these new men to choose from. Lowering her standards is a kind of improvement. Women have plenty of dating problems, they just don't realize it yet. Women lowering their standards is men improving themselves too. Men are rated higher so they have improved.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/23 02:54 PM

Just women, because they have flexible sexualities. Women don't change who they're attracted to because they believe they can hold out for someone better when they actually can't. It's about female entitlement. Plenty of people don't lose attraction to their long term partners.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/23 02:48 PM

"Desperate" is a red herring.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/23 02:36 PM

I'm saying that these women can change themselves so that they are attracted to the men they used to not be attracted to.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/23 02:34 PM

The best thing we can probably do to fix our current dating infrastructure is for women to lower their standards, which literally means women being attracted to more men. Who wouldn't want that? We all know that female sexuality is more flexible than male sexuality. This wouldn't be forcing women to be with men they don't find attractive. This would be women finding a man attractive who she didn't find attractive before. Women just don't want to put in the work to improve themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/23 02:17 PM

The lesser of two evils is sacrificing some of women's bodily autonomy for men's bodily autonomy. We need to redefine what bodily autonomy means. It doesn't matter that women don't think it is fair. The world isn't fair. Deal with it.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/23 02:14 PM

A few of women here say that men should "vet," not be so easy, etc. But that's a stupid argument. A man rejecting the zero women interested in him will not get him the bare minimum type woman he wants. Not the perfect woman, the woman who is one millimeter away from not at all attractive in any way. What they're really trying to do when they make that argument is to get men to flip flop so that they can then say that men have unrealistically high standards. low or no standards? "you should vet w…

Up through intermediate micro and macro economics, undergraduate college level courses. Here's a specific example: the law of diminishing marginal utility, and the utility surface in a two good economy. You can categorize everything as either "good X" and the other as "everything else that isn't good X." As you consume more of one good while holding the other constant the extra utility you get from each one goes down. At the extremes, you end up being no better off from getting more of that one.…

I feel like so many people here don't understand basic economics. All relationships are at least somewhat transactional, even if you're one of those "I don't see it as transactional" people. The biggest mistake I see often is not taking into consideration both the supply and demand side of things.

The statistics on technically having sex literally just once a year does not own incels the way you think it does. You're assuming they make stronger claims than they actually do. Most men have at least some sex? Fine, that's no problem, everything else is correct. Part of the problem with these studies is that the averaging out hides a lot of important details. What you said: Do you also tell homeless people to get their wallets out too? Is that supposed to be a gotcha? I don’t know why you’re trying to call me a troll when you’re just a liar. I didn't try. It's also patronizing. In their heads they think they know what's better for the prostitutes than the prostitutes. They also feel like it is "cheating." A lot of it is also their own hang-ups about sexuality and deviance, and then projected onto the prostitutes.

you can learn to be content on your own and still try to date. These 2 things are not exclusionary. I suppose a person could get used to being raped every day, while still trying to not be, too, but you really haven't proposed anything useful. Especially seeing as how you shame people for having desired, and seeing how you refuse to experience the same things. The violence done to men when it comes to dating in current times is underappreciated. It's a very serious problem, but most people are in denial about it. What is going on should be criminal. I've seen where people will respond to a comment like this and say something like "haha, no it isn't a crime." It's exactly like how marital rape used to be considered no big deal. If you are one of those "no, it isn't harming men in a significant way" then you are the problem.

You sound like an incel
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/23 03:14 AM

Why would a guy want to date a woman who shows so little investment in him? It's an extremely unattractive thing for a woman to do.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/23 03:06 AM
1

If you're already interested then it shouldn't matter if you pay for yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/23 03:06 AM
1

why would i pay if i was the one invited? Because entitlement such as that indicates personality flaws.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/23 03:05 AM
1

Then why do you care about it being the same?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/23 03:05 AM

Because I already knew I liked onion rings and I also liked bacon cheeseburgers. Then you shouldn't have answered the question. It was not for you.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/23 03:04 AM
1

So how do you know you can't get that with people you don't want because you haven't tried? Imagine the amazing things you might be able to experience if you just gave more people a chance!
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/23 03:03 AM

Why would a man want a woman who is so entitled and pathetic that she can't even buy him a cup of coffee?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/23 02:33 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/23 02:31 AM

If you are so disinterested in him that you want him to pay on the first date, then why go at all? To scam men out of free shit?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/23 02:30 AM
1

Ok, so why not also have sex with and date men you aren't "attracted" to? We already know you're not great at predicting which things you'll like, so why not give other "eww" things a try?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/23 02:29 AM
1

The woman who constantly complains about how everyone else is shallow accuses others of trying to play the victim, classic projection.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/23 02:25 AM
1

In that scenario, do you expect him to pay for the first date?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/23 02:15 AM
1

You like to make your life worse? Okay ... you do you, I guess.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/23 01:48 AM
2

Right, so how do you know that you aren't rejecting men you could actually be very happy with if you just gave him a chance? We already know that you aren't perfect at knowing what you would enjoy, so how do you know there aren't more things you'd enjoy but have refused to try yet?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/23 01:05 AM
-1

Q4W: If you're one of the ones who expect the man to pay if he asks you out on a first date, let's say he asks you where you'd like to go, makes sure it's a place that you can afford, why go on the date in the first place? You aren't entitled to free shit. If you can't genuinely enjoy the company and contribute your fair share to the relationship, that is a huge red flag for most men in their 20s to 40s.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/23 01:02 AM
2

Q4W: have you ever thought you wouldn't like something, only to try it, and realize you like it a lot? What was it? What was it that lead to you ending up trying it?

What?

You're a woman right? Here's how it is: you have your same filter, but now you don't get enough prospects to end up with even one person after applying filters. Then you make your criteria less strict, over and over, and no matter what you do, you always end up with zero at the end.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/23 12:44 AM
1

According to guys here, no they dont. Wrong. Guy here. Men have to filter too. Having too few prospects to filter on strict criteria is a completely different issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/23 12:42 AM
1

Oh my mistake. Believing it is fundamental to their character is even less reasonable.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/23 07:42 PM
1

If I go in blind I’m more likely to make mistakes. Not necessarily. Sometimes trying to force it ends up alienating them, self fulfilling prophecy, that kind of thing. I can only guess, but I think most women who ask a question like that are really trying to figure out how far they can get away with exploiting the men they're "dating."
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/23 07:40 PM

Most guys will have a really hard time finding a girlfriend, but if they do it'll be someone who loves them. Men won't find a girlfriend so the "but if they do" qualifier doesn't make it better. Whatever dating problems women have, men have those same problems plus more problems. It's just as hard or harder for a man to find a girlfriend who loves him, but most people don't count that part because finding any girlfriend - no matter how vile - is practically impossible. Dating is so much harder f…

Noting is more pathetic than when a person puts zero effort into backing up their claims, and then walks away believe they "won" the debate, such as you've done here. You might benefit from psychotherapy, good luck!
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/23 05:14 AM

And you wouldn't want to be with a person who wasn't physically attractive enough regardless of their personality, so, saying things like "personality is most important" is disingenuous.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/23 05:12 AM

False dichotomy. There's a lot more that can be said beyond "it can work," but that often leads to inconvenient truths. But, hey, if you want to resign yourself to nihilism, you do you.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/23 05:11 AM

the things that usually work are obvious If you want to make a claim about how usual something is - put a number on it - then that's on you to show. not everyone cares about this. Love/sex/relationships - however you want to define it - is up there as something most people find very important. "Eh, not a big deal" is disingenuous, but you've created an example of the flawed reasoning I'm trying to highlight: yes, technically, as long as there is at least one asexual person who has ever existed, …

I'm going to talk about the people who write stuff like "if you try to find a partner using [STRATEGY X] it can work." I don't think those people realize how weak a "can work" claim is. Anything can work. It can be said of everything so it is true for nothing. You "can" win the lottery, but has that ever convinced you to spend your life savings on lottery tickets? Reasonable, intelligent adults understand how foolish that would be. No one cares about "can work." It is a useless metric. If someth…

Which you do if you're not horribly disfigured. No, but go ahead, make your case. For many, many women, they set their minimum level such that the median looks-wise man doesn't make the cut. When looks don't matter we call that platonic friendship. Everyone knows this, which is why it isn't worth mentioning the vast majority of the time. it's only when arguments like yours, claiming that the a good personality can make up for women's unrealistic standards, is it worth mentioning.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/23 01:33 AM

Unless he is deformed or has an abnormality, the vast majority of guys do fine with women. You are wrong, but go ahead, make your case if you feel that confident. if he’s an average looking guy, truly struggling with women based on his looks, it’s because he wants a Stacy. No, it's because women aren't willing to accept average.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/23 01:29 AM

You develop social awareness and choose the ones that choose you. None of them will ever choose you if you don't meet the bare minimum in the looks department. No amount of social awareness can ever make up for it. That's why you're wrong when you say personality is more important than looks. Looks can always veto personality.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/23 12:42 AM

I went out with my boyfriend because he was sweet and complimented me. ... and he met your minimum requirements for physical attractiveness. If you say "no," then you're either lying to us or to yourself. Who's the ugliest celebrity you'd be willing to get into a relationship with given that they're sweet and compliment you as much or more as your boyfriend?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/23 12:37 AM

In almost everything, quitting early doesn't get nearly as much credit as a legitimate option, or the best option.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/23 12:34 AM

You know what we did ? We went to other women that liked us. Problem solved. If you didn't meet bare minimum on looks for that woman then no amount of personality could have ever made up for it. At most you would ever be is just platonic friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/23 12:30 AM

If the man has a good personality, courage, then why was he rejected? Your theory says that his sexy, sexy courage makes up for being short and ugly. being able to lead, shaking off rejection, trying again When it's the same person over and over that's called stalking. When it isn't then that's what being rejected for your looks looks like: show "courage," she's turned off by your looks, she rejects you, and she doesn't give you the time of day to show off your amazing personality.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/23 12:15 AM

Regardless, my answer to your original question is yes.

Pretty much every "incel" has been done those exact things for years, and it didn't get them anything. No. But if you're willing to commit to it, it can work. You can also win the lottery, and it'll be more likely if you spend more money on tickets, but we all mostly agree that "can work" doesn't mean much. You can say "it can work" about anything, so it's a pretty shit metric.

/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/23 12:00 AM

What's your criteria for "physically strong"? How much weight for how many reps/set, which exercises, etc. I'd guess: I could tell you yes, but then you'd ask me how strong, and then I would tell you, and then you'd tell me that that much weight means he isn't a physically strong guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/23 11:58 PM

When it comes to dating/romance, no amount of "personality" can ever make up for not meeting minimum looks requirements. Platonic friends? Sure, but we aren't talking about that here.

The 2 guys who were harassing multiple women were grinding up on and groping them without consent. Depending on the context, in the right kind of dance club, there's an assumption of practically "open invitation," for some kind of touch even if not explicitly stated.
