I was just trying to ask you since questions and understand the Gospel from your point of view better. I'm technically not part of any church. Sorry to have upset you. Wait, but why are you so certain that your "Christ" and your "Gospel" are right, especially when they're divorced from the first 1500 years of Christianity? And if you don't repent, are you really cultivating the field where the seeds of the Gospel were planted? And isn't Christ the Judge? This doesn't make any sense; you rely exclusively on Christ, but then if you're making these mistakes, no pass into Heaven. So, your own soteriology is self-contradicting. But, what is salvation to you? Is it merely a get out of Hell free card, or is it a total transformation of man from sinner to servant as the Bible explains? I hope I'm being aggressive or condescending. My intention is to have a friendly conversation about what you've said because it's historically a very new theology.

That over protection is important to the survival of the species. One man can impregnate many women. A woman can usually only be pregnant with one man's baby at a time. Genetically even, we are expendable. That's not the way it ought to be, but that's the way it is from a determinist standpoint. Of course, the idealist standpoint is that every man and woman is infinitely valuable. I think that's a more useful and truer world view, but we are struggling against a determinist society.

I totally forgot about the sidebar. I do that every time. My mistake, and thank you for pointing me in that direction. My goals are the army fitness standards and to try and get my five mile run below 40 minutes. My big focus is to just maintain consistency; that's my biggest hurdle, so I'm doing small things daily because "life will give you days off" as Jocko Willink says. He's basically done what I'm trying to do (in some regards) so I figure his advice is golden.

Yes. I tried for two years. She already had another boyfriend not even two months after leaving. She was a believer. It's dead. The divorce is finalized. I filed for abandonment. I spent two years grieving. I'm ready to move forward in becoming a better man and not dwelling on my past sins. Yeah, she abandoned me, but I could have done a thousand things better to begin with.
