It sounds like you do not like socialization No, but we're talking about sexual strategy here. it's basically a friendship with sex. That's exactly what I want. You're proposing spending years of hard work to maybe have some kind of just friend. nope, you aren't giving me a solution. i'm not convinced about aggregate eharmony rates

I have no idea what you're talking about

Something that costs money isn't necessarily a "scam" So? Paid OLD has a higher LTR rate than the free sites (especially eHarmony). Cite Take up hobbies. Improv and social dance are especially good. Not a good fit, no opportunities for those hobbies. Even if I did, then I'm guaranteed to get sex and a LTR? Or no? Or, what rate? How likely? When? No? Then you aren't making a good argument. Some kind of low-competition sport, like kickball or tennis or a running group, is also a good option. There…

It ruins their perception of women and makes them unable to have a good, healthy emotional and sexual connection to a long-term partner, which inevitably usually results in either cheating which is unfair to the partner or simply the dissolution of the relationship Wait, what? How? How does it casual sex make men have a ruined "perception of women"? unable to have a good, healthy emotional and sexual connection to a long-term partner? inevitably usually pick one

If you really want a partner, spending money may be necessary. No, I'm saying: they're scams. As for meetup groups, you may have to get out of your comfort zone and try things that aren't immediately obvious as a "good fit." I was already considering them way outside my comfort zone. There were none remotely close. It sounds, though, like you may need to get yourself more of a social circle before you think about dating. OK??? How specifically? I've already been over thing many, many times. Ther…

You don't have a Match.com or OkCupid profile? Women don't respond to my (good) messages. You don't belong to any Meetup groups? Before COVID-19, there weren't any that were even close to a good fit. You don't ever go to a pub, Women make it obvious they don't want to talk to me. I mean, I could basically harass women in public, each one quickly trying to find an excuse to stop talking to me, but that doesn't get me what OP defined. or a birthday party I don't get invited to any. or speed dating…

Why she rejected you doesn’t matter; Sure it does. Many, many women reject me, so it's important to know why. I can't just walk across the street and immediately find another one.

We're talking about why a woman rejected you. Why was it not her standards?

If you get shot down, it’s probably not something you did, it’s just that they weren’t in the right space. So, are you saying the sentence you wrote one comment up isn't correct? She probably shot you down because you didn't meet her standards.

Go on dates. Ask women on dates. Be pickier on personality than looks. I can't go on dates. I don't get (appropriate) opportunities to ask women on dates. How can I be more picky on personality if I can't even get them to talk to me? Sure, if I'm buying something and the other person is a woman, or if one of my female colleagues at works needs something, I can talk to them, but it would not be appropriate to ask them on dates.

If you have casual sex, you cannot have a successful LTR. They are exclusionary. Please explain that one. I enjoy sex. Why shouldn't I enjoy what I can while looking for a long term partner to (among other things) have sex with?

No man is going to pay for a woman who isn't putting out within a month or after several dates in today's dating climate. Why should men pay for women? That's your problem right there.

You don't really want to get married, it is just a fantasy. The kind of compromise you would have to make to be married is not something you actually want. You don't want what comes standard with marriage, so you don't really want marriage in total. You want a fantasy man who will give you everything and demand nothing. To that extent you "really" want marriage, but only with a fantasy, and that is why marriage is just a fantasy for you. It's a very sad situation.

so, basically, you don't want to get married. You're open to being married, but you don't want it, like the post is saying.

This is the right answer. Also, there are going to be a lot of issues with women self reporting, most significant in my view, is bias in support of an identity they want to have. "Saving face." Probably mostly unconscious. Another term for the phenomena is "post-hoc sense-making." These people will tell themselves a story: he was into me, but turned out to be an asshole. I did something bad. He wasn't that good to begin with. I rejected him. It wasn't just casual sex, he loved me. I am just as a…

Seriously, all you have to do is invest some initial romantic and caring shit and they will bend over backwards to try and explain later indifference and shitty behavior away. I don't know what drugs you are on, but I'll have whatever you're having.

How do men not have the advantage Not something for me to prove; convince me that men have an advantage and then we can talk.

I call it the relativism of High Value. "If I think a man is a High Value, that means he actually is because I like/love him". This is the only thing I generally disagree with. The quoted part is right, and you're thinking about it as a thing that it is not. The right way is to think of "value" as "price." You are thinking of value as an inherent, global, intrinsic, constant, god's-eye-view, etc. "value," imposing--unnecessarily--your own view of what is more valuable and less valuable. What is …

I’m just pointing out that women will put up with a lot for a relationship ... with Chad, not most men. It gives "Chad" an advantage, not most men.

OP is pulling a classic Chad-men are the only ones that exist, and non-Chad-men literally do not exist.

Question for Men: For those that believe that post-wall women end up alone, then why do you get upset about younger women's advantage when it comes to online dating? Because those ideas are--at best--loosely related. It's easy to imagine absurd examples using the same format: for those that believe the sky is blue, why do you get upset about racism? If men have the advantage in the long run, why is it so bad? Men don't, so it is. Overall, doesn't online dating provide more of an advantage to men…

whether choice overload has an effect on choice, not whether there is any psychological harm I'm not going to choose defending the phrase "mentally ruining women" as a hill to die on, but the gist of OP's argument is that social media, on average, distorts the way women think about how they relate to the world (specifically, inflating their perception of their desirability), and that the delusions are harmful to both men and women. Delusions are the the mechanism through which harm to mental hea…

"Choice overload: A conceptual review and meta‐analysis" https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1016/j.jcps.2014.08.002 Finally, we document that when moderating variables are taken into account the overall effect of assortment size on choice overload is significant—a finding counter to the data reported by prior meta‐analytic research.
