Trusts are expensive though I mean if you have like millions then sure. But if judge found out you have trust he could just increase alimony in the "name of fairness". Best option is to have an equal partner in terms of income. Otherwise it's best to live together without marriage (except for common law states)

I mean you should get a prenup You should remain attractive as possible You should be taking responsibility for childcare And when push comes to shove you should be prepared to fight for your and your children future That doesn't mean that you have to live paranoid in constant fear just be prepared

I don't think it would matter. If you are prepared your case may not even go to the court. It matter more what you give him or her or they to work with

Well yeah this post is cynical because it is to prevent worst case scenario in divorce. I think we can all agree that most equitable divorce is you split martial assets in half and custody in half. Its a no brainier but when lawyers and emotions get involved men get short end of the stick. Regarding being good husband hmm let's see from top of my head Share burden of childcare equally Share mental and physical load of household equally Don't rack up debt chasing strippers I mean requirements are…

Its not about being single or being in relationship, its about marriage and legal aspects of it. Its not a relationship advice more of how to protect yourself legally in case if all went to shit. Only way to protect yourself is to be prepared and vigilant.

You agree to a marriage where your wife stays home I don't think you read the part where I specifically said NOT to agree to a marriage with a SAHM. Also pick you poison means choosing between divorcing your wife to avoid alimony with no fault of her or keep being married to her and risk alimony. I guess I expected too much in reading comprehension

guy getting married in his 20s That sound like disaster waiting to happen. But prenups are not just for premarital assets, they can in theory limit access to future assets too. They would not hurt but I am not a lawyer

Misery loves company And yet there is not rule that we can not enjoy our conversations when misery brings us together. Have a good day too EDIT- Guess I am blocked LOL.

Oprah did not marry and you know what kudos to her. And many women have decided to not marry and have kids through sperm donor and you know what kudos to them. People get to make their own decision, based on whatever line of reasoning they want. Should women take into consideration the points you have highlighted. I mean they would very stupid not to. Women marry because they see value in marriage that outweighs the risk, men marry because they see value in marriage that outweighs the risk. Both…

The theme of post is legal aspects of marriage, yes cheating is very bad thing to do and devastating not just to betrayed but to family members I assumed it went without saying. Do I think every women is shady opportunists who are looking to wreck life, no not really, But I know that If any of the men marry such a woman their lives will become a statistic. Oh! no paternity fraud is rare you should not worry about it. Oh! no most custody cases are dealt out in court, you should not worry about it…

Dude I was not arguing or debating or even making a point. I was just shitposting. People do shit that we consider illogical because they can and we can bang our head trying to understand why would they do this to themselves but the answer is that they just like it.

Funny thing is common law marriage were first opposed by feminists as they were used to trap women into unwanted marriages without option of no-fault divorce. Now go to twox and they gleefully say that if your bf don't marry you see if you are in common law state so that you are already legally married and wishes of man can touch grass.

You can possibly run away from loan sharks, you can not run away from Child Support. Credit card debt will cripple you, child support debt with kill you.

Women divorce more than men because they have most to gain from it financially. Can marriage be structured in a way that they would stand to loose more by divorcing, maybe but you can never be sure. Even after knowing the risk is a man want to get married there is nothing we can do to convince him but least he can do it take responsibility to protect himself and not go blind. Thats all

I don't see it as depressing, I see it as a precursor to trust which every marriage should have. You have to trust your wife to get married, correct. But how do you cultivate that trust when you know that you can not control your wife's actions. Simple you have to trust yourself that even in worst case you will be alright. But blindly trusting yourself is even worse that blindly trusting others. Lying to yourself is biggest sin you can commit. You can only trust yourself if you consciously prepa…

Yeah that's the main advantage of credit cards, its like a powerful creature that need to be tied up tightly and kept under absolute control.

Establish financial stability (have a credit card) Credit card is not technically good for your financial stability as one mistake and you are screwed with predatory interest rates. But credit card debt is unsecured and dischargable in bankruptcy. Child support is NOT. That goes to show how predatory child support law actually are that Credit Cards debt is better choice. That it can keep you out of jail until it is all sorted out. If you let Child Support Debt pile up they put you in jail and ta…

Technically winning in marriage game is to marry a loyal loving wife, have beautiful children and you live happily ever after. Like our grandfathers. I guess people have a desire for such kind of happy ending. How probable that is is a different question. Only thing that matters is whether you can plan enough for the worst case scenario. Even without marriage if you have children you are essentially trapped. I like base jumping I know the risk and I choose to do it because it brings value to my …

If worst happens atleast you know its coming and can prepare somewhat. How many men had to put bullet through their heads after they were destroyed in divorce because they were fat, broke, confused after divorce. Life goes on man, I remember a book called "Man's search for meaning". Its fascinating how they survived even in concentration camps and fought their way become successful. Divorce can be devastating but even in worst case is survivable. Only thing you need to do is keep breathing and m…

You need to differentiate between legal and relationship aspect of marriage. A woman can blow you, hit you, love you, hate you and divorce you in the same day. It doesn't matter how good your relationship is you NEED to protect yourself legally.

Its little more complicated, if prenup excludes or limits alimony, she wont have choice but to look for another job. Second even with SAHM arrangement, if you have good Documentation of your contribution to childcare, it will get help you get custody may not be 50/50 but 60/40 is possible. Also it can be proven in court that your wife is willfully unemployed, then imputed income could be used for calculation for support or whether you have to pay for her attorney. Again varies with jurisdiction.…

She can definitely call you abuser even after you initiate divorce so I don't think how that can be effective as men are not automatically believed. Hell feminists still want to paint Johnny Depp as abuser. Best advice is to DOCUMENT EVERYTHING. Save all the abusive text messages, emails etc. I can't stress it enough. When you are in court, if you can keep your testimony consistent, you get huge advantage. Also if possible record the abuse(whether emotional, physical, verbal). You can record wit…

Seems like she was really looking forward for that date which I don't understand because you don't sound any fun to be with, Just plan a fun weekend for yourself and invite her, if she comes have fun with her, if she does not pick up some other girl to have fun with. Now you decide which thing you suck at, finding another chick or planning something fun. If you give me a guess, I say both.

I think it comes with abundance, not only for sex or relationship, but for friendships, career etc. I didn't had the 'MRP journey', I discovered r/theredpill after spending about year learning PUA and game. As I improved and succeeded in getting more interest, beta behavior started to fade away wrt girls because i just didn't give a fuck, there are lot of women out there anyways. I think you can't trick your mind with formulas, until you get a taste of true abundance beta niceguy behavior will e…

SMV comes from PUA, Seducing a 10 required different strategy than seducing a 6, A 10 is more confident, can be teased more, and has a group of orbiters and hens pecking around her that you need to deal with. A 6 may not take heavy teasing in as good of a spirit as a 10, also social dynamics change with a hotter woman. Calibration is very complicated to a noob and may not be easy on the fly, just a pointer about SMV can help a lot untill he is able to read expressions and social clues.

There is a tribe in northern India where groom has to work on the soon to be father-in-law property essentially as a slave. And when he is done serving him for few years, than he could take his daughters hand. IMO there is no better way to show your dedication to his daughter. But since you are not exactly a young person, it may be too long before you could eat fruits of your labor(if you know what I mean) or worse you may not be able to ;)

Now you should not do this, seeing as you don't even lift you smv is not high enough Agree with you, that's why I wrote this. I guess OP gave me a lot of second hand embarrassment that I could not help but think of a some form of recourse lol. But OP don't know the basic properly so bad advice in his context.

And you never DEERed to others before. When you think about it desire to DEER does not arise because of relationship with a woman but is already present in you as a defense mechanism possibly from childhood. Roots cause of it is desire to be heard or understood or not being misunderstood or some form of validation you derive from others. Thats where DEERing relates to the concept of frame. If you are in your own frame you will not feel the need to DEER. Why because you have your own vision of li…

It's a terrible habit I formed during the years when we dated and need to get out of it Hmmm.. what did your gf at the time do to make you DEER like that?? because when I think about DEERing it is instilled in us much much earlier

I want to move more toward domination/submission in my relationship Do you like your wife? Your OYS seems to give off lot of frustration. I am not sure how you could portray D/s as a goal for relationship, can you elaborate on that? Also if your wife is not willing to enter such lifestyle are you willing to nuke the marriage?'

Validation is interesting because you derive your worth from something external like if my wife fucks then I am attractive. Attraction can be judged by response of other women, do they give you ioi's or will they fuck you etc. Judging your worth is completely different beast altogether, because no one has the right and means to judge you except yourself(WISNIFG). But it does not mean that you get the right to be shitty judge. Learning to judge yourself is a skill, not lying to yourself is a skil…

RELATIONSHIT: Looks about right.. So your wife cheated on you multiple times?? This is the most chaotic shit ever, I love it. I can't even start to comprehend what was written its like you just took all your emotions and thoughts and puked it all over. Honestly I can't keep my eyes of this OYS, its a masterpiece of just pure havoc. Best thing I have seen today. Jesus man sometime I feel like I am in a rut but your life is like being hosed by champagne in the face. Jesus Titty Fucking Christ Fuck

Is explaining why you're upset about something your wife does, considered DEERing? Stupid question, I know Not a stupid question, just a wrong one, you should be asking why did you feel the need to explain yourself so much that you did it without thinking and then got confused and came here to ask for approval. Answer is you are still in her frame. So lets change the framework of conversation, you are a high value man with great vision of marriage, does the disagreement with your wife come in wa…

Your initiations sucks ass. Ask yourself this question, if you walk up to a random woman and asked to go upstairs and makeout without any buildup will she go with you? Then why should your wife? Now you may feel entitled to your wife giving you sex just because she is your wife but your feels means jack shit. I know that negotiating sex is bad but you didn't even negotiated sex, you just meekly asked for sex, got rejected and ran here. You didn't even had the courage and conviction to negotiate …
