Uhm... It doesn't ask for a full physical address, it asks for a name, email, and zip code. Not sure where you are getting that it's asking for a physical address unless you're outside of the U.S. and not sure what it's asking for when it's says "zip code". If you're wanting to help and don't want to give out any of that then throw in a bogus email and pop 28804 into the zip code. That's an Asheville NC zip. Problem solved and you still get to support it.

this leads me to the points: 1) this is not a men's shelter, its a shelter that -sometimes takes men if it has the space and the police are involved- and 2) does not have the resources to handle the physical and mental trauma that affects men and is more geared to the traumas that affect women and children. so 3) we need a male-centered DV shelter in North Carolina and many other parts of the U.S.

I literally just called them to see if that was the case. That is not a men's shelter. It's a shelter that will take men if the police make them basically but they do not focus on men nor do they generally take in men.

OK guys. I promised an update after I did this presentation at the college. I gave an open debate, and a speech. The open debate gained a lot of listening and only one pseudo grounded debate that I floored pretty easy. The speech though.... I was very surprised at the reaction. People, including the women in the room were SUPER receptive and I was flooded with questions to get more info. If was really awesome actually the positive feedback I received.

I understand. I am pretty new to using reddit too. It kinda has a rep for mostly trolls from what I have seen. I only used it to info mine because it was suggested from a highly credible source. I have also been mining a serious load of info from a lot of men's rights groups across the social media platforms. I've gotten two full pages of statistics with a large portion having linked data from all over the web tonight so it's been very fruitful so far.
