Oh, they hate him for more than that. Steve Forbes is very pro-business and hard work. He's libertarian leaning, and everyone hates him for that. He's not on the far left, so...

For most companies, yes. But the country aspect isn't always accurate. For example, if you want to build a semiconductor fabrication plant, the best place to do that is in Malaysia in Penang (also somewhere in Ireland, but I don't know for sure there). That has to do with geographical stability and is a purely accidental property of the land there. So, that has to do with the geography being amicable to better profits, and not the country itself.

If it were true, companies would only hire women because they could save 22% (or whatever) on labour. That doesn't happen.
