Had to use Gemini to summarize. BLUF: your kids do not deserve to be in a broken home. I know it may feel terrifying leaving your wife, but it sounds like there is something going on. Talk to her straight up; give her an ultimatum, and follow through. Keep whatever you can (text screenshots) for proof and lawyer up. Your kids will be better off splitting time with mom/dad than having a John over once a week once dad leaves for work. Not acceptable.

For me, it's a constant battle for finances. You don't have to worry about that anymore -- go ahead and buy that thing you wanted; no approvals, no bickering, no discussion. As long as you can afford it, get it. My wife grew up "poor" so every purchase became "do we have enough to buy that??" (the answer was always "yes, I wouldn't buy it if I couldn't afford it").
