I think while it's not as visible as it was in prior years, it is still somewhat prominent in that there will always be communities of grifters trying to siphon money off of lonely and desperate boys/men while instilling awful takes and beliefs towards women to them, and angry and frustrated men sharing toxic views in echo chambers online. Being into fitness and lifting, I unfortunately still see a lot of red pill/manosphere attitudes in gym culture as well.

Honestly, this post feels a bit like bait, but I'll bite. What do YOU consider attractive? I know you mentioned that you don't watch porn or don't consume "arousing" content, but could it be possible that you have unrealistic expectations with what you find attractive in terms of physical appearance? Physical attraction is pretty important in any romantic relationship, and getting with someone who you find completely unattractive is a fast-track to disaster. If you are truly struggling with havi…

I’m 5’6”, and I have had quite a few flings and a couple casual relationships before getting with my now-fiancée. Short men CAN definitely be attractive and hot.

You say your last ex was pissed for being attracted to women who didn’t look like them, but you said in an earlier comment that you have yet to have a girlfriend. What is it? Look man, you have been really defensive over people who are genuinely trying to help you. I didn’t meet my now-finance until I was 32, almost 33, and before that it was a long and painful journey to become disintegrated from all the toxic RP and PUA shit that I was exposed to. Instead of being defensive, LISTEN to us.

My fiance tells me that David Tennant is her celebrity crush. I don’t look like David Tennant, and she’s still with me. I tell her that Amanda Barnhart is my “celebrity” crush. She looks nothing like her, and I am still with her. You can find someone physically attractive and still not be with them or even want to. There is a reason why I am with my fiance, and why she is with me.

I’m a guy who is attracted to muscular and strong women. But what amazes me about so many men who are also into them is that they absolutely resent it when those women go out with muscular men or bodybuilders (while they themselves live sedentary lives and don’t lift.) Do they not see the irony in that?

It annoys the shit out of me when dudes cite that “study,” as if it’s the sacred text of “proving” that women on dating sites are shallow and don’t give nice guys like them a chance. Not only do they never mention that second part about how those women still message the “below average guys,” but that OKCupid (the site that initially published the “study,”) even debunked it.

I met my girlfriend when we were both 32. We also agreed that if we met when we were younger, it probably wouldn’t work out. You learn a lot as you age. Some people find their life partners earlier in life, and others later. Neither is right or wrong.

The problem with RP is that they view women as some kind of homogeny where all women have the same character traits, desires and motivations. They do not. Women, just like men, are human beings that are unique individuals. My girlfriend contradicts almost everything RPers say about women.

There is no “objectively attractive” metric. People are attracted to different types, and if we are going by physical appearance: different body types, facial appearances, etc. What one woman finds unattractive, another might find attractive. Don’t worry about things you can’t change (facial structure, height,) and focus on things you can (dress, haircut, working out.)

For dating I like Paging Dr Nerdlove. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe the guy who runs it, Harris O’Malley, used to be into PUA and shit like that, but has since become reformed and gives out some solid and mentally healthy advice
