The question at the heart of all of those stories is not "what should we do about sexless men," it's really "how can we force men back into their traditional roles."

The only person I can think of that said anything approaching that was some NYT columnist and he was widely ridiculed.

I saw them. They're irrelevant. The original post was about men, not women.

Every civilization in human history has gone through stages of growth and collapse. I don't know where we are in that cycle, but most of the points you mention have been a feature to some extent or another of every human society. There have always been lonely men and social "dropouts". The only thing that might be different about the modern western world is the role of women in the workforce. One thing I would say about the collapse theorists is that some of them seem to think a more "traditiona…

Men are not optional husbands are optional. That's not quite the same thing.

LOL what "mass media" outlets are discussing the troubles of men?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/23 01:12 AM

They are, but I expect them to be. They're women, so they have no idea what it's like to be a man, the same way I have no clue what it's like to be a woman.

For example, of amany fathers think that by working 8 hours a day and paying all the bills, their role is complete. They don't have to change diapers or clean the house or bottle feed the baby. All that is women stuff, in their minds. Meanwhile, wifey is working 12 hours a day and waking up in the middle of the night to take care of kiddo. She's tired and stressed and overworked. His main complaint is that she doesn't initiate sex. Well why would she? In other words, nothing you do as a man will…

But even then the OF girl doesn't really know you exist. She doesn't really pay any attention to you in any significant way unless you're spending lots of money. Otherwise you're just one of however many dudes subscribed to her page.

If you're that worried about impregnating/being impregnated by someone you shouldn't be having sex with them.

I'm 31 and ideally I'd like to be with a woman who was close to my age...but I also want to have kids at some point. Haven't done any research and don't know the stats, but it seems like many if not most of the women around my age who want(ed) kids have them already. For me, that's really the major issue.

Yeah, I remember when people were mad at Bella Thorne for pulling that bikini shot bait and switch. But you can generally tell what's on offer before you sign up.

Wait, there are people who think song lyrics are an indication of what the artist really thinks about any given topic? Maybe it's because I grew up listening to rap, but obviously "it's just entertainment" is a saying for a reason.

I don't think the RP guys selling courses actually care if you do anything different with your life, their only interest is in your money, same as the OF girls.

Interaction and para-social relationships are available all over the internet in non-sexual contexts though. I'd say it's more like the idea of having your own personal porn star, although that idea is inherently contradictory.

I don't think this would help as much as you think. At the end of the day what these men are paying for isn't conversation. How many OF punters would care to speak to the models if they weren't showing their tits and doing everything else?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/23 01:58 AM

Lol if you're paying some chick just to be able to talk to her that's not "companionship" in any sense of the word. Also, think of the mathematics of the situation: you're not the only guy paying for her page. So how could you think it in any way possible that one woman could, by herself, talk to dozens, if not hundreds, or thousands of men at once? Of course they have people managing their pages!

Teenagers think that they social bubbles they inhabit are essentially the entire world. Part of growing up is realizing that this is not true.

I would dispute the notion that men are being taken advantage of by OF girls. When you pay for Onlyfans you know exactly what you're getting and what you're expected to trade for it. A fair exchange ain't no robbery. 🤷🏿‍♂️
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/23 12:35 AM

Yeah, but "their peers" aren't the wider society in general. The average person in the world has very little respect for women who sell their bodies online.

Who is Onlyfans "socially acceptable" to? I think you're confusing apathy for acceptance.

I think she's kinda right actually. Compare the women you see on IG with the millions of followers and ones you see on TV to the women you see every day in real life and the difference is immediately apparent. I wouldn't say that the latter category are "real women" and the former are not, but there is somewhat of a dichotomy.

I don't know if I'd call it a "grift," but I certainly would say that an 18 year old male has no business getting involved in any of this pill stuff. Those kids (I'm 31, I think I can call them that) are way too young to be getting wrapped up in online communities that profess to know what women are like and how they should relate to them. They have hardly any experience! Don't even get me started on some of the stuff I've seen in blackpill spaces...

If a hot babe like Scarlet Johansson - or whoever is your most attractive sex symbol - approached the average dude and - without prior finesse - just asks him point blank for sex, then and there, the average man will immediately react with suspicion. He will look over his shoulder and think he is being punked. Exactly! Hot woman randomly approaching average guy=scam in most men's minds. The others are gullible, extremely desperate or both.

As Andrew Tate once put it "dick can only be sucked in so many ways." Some women are better looking than others, but the relative attractiveness of a given woman has pretty much nothing to do with how good the sex will be. When you mention all these celebrities, it really seems like a status thing more than anything else, like they're saying "look at me and my hot young girlfriend!" That kind of showing off (mainly to increase their status among other men) isn't really interesting to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/23 10:31 PM

It means it's weird to limit your interactions with women exclusively to those you want to fuck. Don't pretend to be someone's friend if you really don't want to be their friend. Simple as. Isn't this a bit contradictory?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/23 08:53 PM

Pretty much all dating advice is crap. Bearing that in mind: 1) the rule of attractiveness always applies and 2)if a woman is into you you'd probably know, so if you're in doubt assume she isn't.

Why would I be in a relationship with a woman who would go out and have sex with another man? If she's going to do that she can just go be with him.

What exactly is the point of this post? Do you want us to feel sorry for her, are you gloating and presenting her as a horror story look-at-what-awaits-you-modern-woman kinda thing, or what?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/23 05:58 AM

You can say the "i" word, you know; it's not some kind of slur. Have you ever been on an [i-slur] forum? If you had you'd know that when younger people (under 30s) post there talking like 'it's over' they're usually laughed at. As for depression, social isolation, and lack of motivation, people who find the blackpill tend to be that way long before they do so. It may not be helpful for their grief and pain, but the blackpill certainly isn't the main source.

The average guy isn't going to land a supermodel no matter what he does. Might as well just be yourself in that situation. 🤷🏾‍♂️ EDIT: 'She's not going to f*ck you no matter what you do, so do whatever you want' is a more blackpilled way of saying 'just be yourself' and applies to average women as well as models.

Of course the writer thinks the government needs to support mothers more. For the left, government is the solution to pretty much every problem. Unfortunately for them, however, women finding the vast majority of men to be unsuitable partners is not really a problem the state can solve.

I mean, you do know that the average poster on an incel forum is an edgelord teenager, right? Even the entire concept of "Stacy" is embarrassingly childish.

It's not being ridiculous to acknowledge that one of the biggest factors in whether or not you wind up getting the "i-was-just-being-friendly" routine from a woman is how good looking you are.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/23 01:08 PM

The whole thing is ridiculous and the only way to win is to not play.

Saying there are other things to life isn't wrong, but it's something that's a lot easier to say when you're not the one in that position. This can't be emphasized enough. At the same time however the RP "follow my program and you'll be drowning in pussy" stuff is also BS, as evidenced by the emergence of blackpill/incel communities over the past decade.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/23 03:38 AM

If you're a man and you're looking to mainstream media for any kind of positive reinforcement you're doing it wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/23 12:31 PM
5

I don't know about the second point, but one and (especially) three are hardly mainstream positions. If men believed that women are only good for sex and not companionship there wouldn't be any simps who spend money and do favors for women they have no hope in hell of having sex with.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/23 09:18 AM

Men for the most part just don't get together and hang out just to hang out. Our friendships are mostly activity based. That "talky talk" stuff tends to be reserved for women, and even there a lot of the time a significant factor in that is 'hey, if I spend some time with this girl maybe she'll have sex with me at some point.' Kind of a shame, really.

Which talking points would those be?

Sometimes I feel like this whole conversation is a little Too Online for me. Outside of certain areas on YouTube and social media how much of an effect is this red pill, black pill stuff actually having on the actual lives of real people? If you stopped a random person on the street and asked them what a MGTOW is, would they even know? In other words, no, I don't think a handful of forums and social media personalities are having a major effect on the dating habits of millions of people.

How are we defining "wants to sleep with you," though? A person's motivations for having sex can be just as complex as for doing anything else and are never entirely pure.

I think his point is that since there's no such thing as "free sex," anti-prostitution sentiment among women is (in some ways) little more than grandstanding.

Some years ago I was banned from a similar type of sub for ex-blackpill types. If exredpill is anything like that one I don't imagine it being all that helpful for anyone.

If having sex with a woman was as simple as walking up to her and asking, I could see how this could make sense. But with the amount of effort (and luck) it takes to get laid I just don't see how 90% of women could be worth all that.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/23 11:00 AM

You find 90% of the women you encounter on a daily basis to be attractive enough to pursue sexually? That number seems...high.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/23 10:42 AM

I've seen and heard variations of this all over the place, and it's never seemed like anything more than a weird revenge fantasy.

men are just swiping for anyone If the results are the same between this and only swiping on women they genuinely find really attractive, what incentive is there to do the latter?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/23 09:59 AM
1

How does one fairly compare the relative attractiveness of a man and a woman?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/23 09:33 AM

Whoever would argue that is wrong. All throughout history, for a wide variety of reasons, there have always been "surplus men" who were never going to get laid or find a partner. Feminism makes a convenient scapegoat in modern times, but this was the case long before the sexual revolution and will continue to be so long after.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/23 04:04 AM

The average guy struggling is not the fault of women. Does it really matter who's "fault" it is? This is the kind of topic where blame just really isn't important.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/23 03:53 AM

Same goes for behaviour or anything else really. All these "redpill" guys complaining about whats masculine this and attractive that. The whole thing seems exhausting.

If you're relying on strangers to show you how to be a man you're doing it wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/23 01:09 AM
