There's no reason there shouldn't be a female military draft too if it is required of men. Israel's required military service is for both men and women and it seems to work fine for them. Shes tying together two completely separate issues to try to distract. The issue you brought up is gender inequality being enshrined under the law, and her response is to bring up voluntary social norms as somehow balancing that out. Makes no sense.

Youre exactly right, that poster is using statistics completely dishonestly. The fact is that most men aren't violent criminals. A very small % of men do those things, and when women actually report those crimes they are taken very seriously by police. However if those crimes are committed by women against men they are usually not taken as seriously. Women are also let off entirely by the criminal justice system twice as often as men. I think your analogy of a machine shows why traditional norms can be dehumanizing. We're more than just machines for reproduction of our genes. There's no reason they both can't contribute equally to parenting and also have their own careers. Children need their dads too. This post really shows just how hateful a place FDS is. And how completely out of touch with reality they are. There's no reason any rational person would accept a deal that lopsided, or should be expected to. And the fact that they think that is reasonable just shows the disdain that they have for men. I doubt that any of the women that post there are in happy relationships. There's no self respecting man who would put up with their insanity. They are right that women should have careers though…
