Me and my boyfriend also have very little in common. We were raised very similarly and are on the same page when it comes to parenting and how we want our lives to be but other than that we have no real shared interests or hobbies. He’s got his friends for that kind of thing and I have my friends for mine. We still talk about our interests with each other, our work, our home etc and we spend a lot of time together. It doesn’t seem to matter at all that we don’t like the same things. We even have…

Physical attraction is what separates platonic friendship and a romantic relationship. It’s not shallow at all to want to be physically attracted to your partner and for them to be just as physically attracted to you. I don’t know if I’m strange in my thinking but I knew I always wanted children so I wanted the best for them also. For example I’ve always had nice straight teeth so for me having bad teeth was always a dealbreaker when it came to dating. I guess I always had it in the back of my h…

A lot of rape cases aren’t cut and dry. Its not always some random attacker with visible signs of struggle and witnesses and all that. More often than not it’s one persons word against another and unfortunately in a lot of cases it can be very hard to prove whether or not it was consensual. It’s not like assault or murder where it’s pretty much always a crime. I don’t blame women for not wanting to be dragged through the mud and made out to be a whore in court just for the man to be acquitted du…

Having common values and goals is far more important than interests but sharing some interests or at least enjoying similar activities is still important too.

The mother in a situation like this is 100% to blame and should take full responsibility. The deceived man can do no wrong, his choices are to cut the child off or continue on being a father figure both of which would be extremely difficult and come with their own set of challenges. It’s not an easy decision to make especially while you are dealing with the devastation of the betrayal and deceit. If a woman is having sex with multiple men during the same cycle and gets pregnant it’s up to her to…

Babies aren’t getting swapped in hospitals in first world countries. For years now they’ve been putting electronic ankle tags on babies right after birth and not removing them until you are walking out the hospital door with the baby in a car seat.

Plenty of average guys cheating on their wives and girlfriends or at least trying to. Cheating is unfortunately quite common and it isn’t all Chads and Staceys doing it. Having an average or unattractive partner does not protect you from being cheated on.

4 years isn’t that much of an age gap, it’s barely noticeable.

It’s not uncommon for me to see an older white man with a younger Asian woman where I live so I’m sure that’s an option for you. Although I don’t think those women are actually attracted to those men but if you’re both cool with the arrangement then I’m sure it’ll be fine.

No they aren’t. Young attractive women aren’t shacking up with men as old as their grandfathers. Also it’s not impossible to have a kid at 45, my aunt did. She was already a grandmother when she was pregnant. Gave birth to a healthy baby girl who’s now 30 and has two kids of her own.

“Many” lol it’s a tiny number of women.

Young women don’t want to have kids with men in their 50s, 60s and 70s. A childless man over 50 is likely to stay that way unless he’s a billionaire.

I’ve seen men on twitter recently try to say men are at their peak and desirable to young women up until 50 because they’re established or whatever. The reality is that most men in their 30s, 40s and 50s aren’t wealthy, don’t have great jobs, aren’t very interesting and aren’t ageing well. There seems to be this assumption from a lot of men that women are genuinely turned on by money and it doesn’t matter what the look like or how old they are because as long as they’ve got money young beautiful…

Sounds like a pretty good survival strategy for a social animal.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/24 04:18 PM

I have ten years on you and a large number of my old classmates are either in long term relationships or married. Majority are now parents. Quite a few single moms though I must admit. More of my old female classmates seem to have children than the males. At least I think so anyway, like you I’m basing all of this off of social media accounts. I was one of the earliest to become a parent at 23. It seems to have exploded in the last 3-4 years with most now having babies/young children.

Women in their early 20s generally find the idea of dating someone who could have went to school with their dad gross. Older men 35+ shooting their shot with young women is nothing new, they did it when I was young too and to be honest most of them were laughed and joked about, called creeps and pervs etc. My husband is 8 years older than me, when we met I was 24 and he was 32 and that was close to my upper limit. I wouldn’t have dated anyone over 35 at that age. An age gap of 5 years or less is…

Partnering up is a survival strategy. If your relationship makes your life harder it’s not the right relationship.

I’ve explained to you that it’s because you don’t know which men are going to be pests and which will leave you alone after you’ve said no. I’ve already told you I’ve put myself in uncomfortable situations as not to offend anyone and I just don’t do that anymore. I am a bitch now and its my experiences that made me this way. I used to be very pleasant and smiley to everyone but people see it as weakness and try to take advantage of you. It’s safer to be a bitch.

My opinion as a woman is that bald men are no less attractive and some men actually really suit the bald look and it can even make them stand out more. It’s the balding that’s considered a bit icky, the man who has barely any hair left but he’s still holding on to it. I never understand why they don’t just shave it at that point. No hair at all is better than sparse thin hair with bald patches. Some men are very touchy about going bald and some embrace it.

Why should I make myself uncomfortable in order to make someone else comfortable?

It hasn’t always worked for me, I’ve been in some very uncomfortable situations because I was afraid to be thought of as rude and I smile when I’m nervous.

Why would you just assume that everyone who is in a bar is looking to hook up? I’m from the UK, I know pub and bar culture is very different here but it’s bizarre to assume that everyone who goes to a bar is single and looking to meet someone. I already gave you a very valid reason why women are more stand-off ish when being randomly approached.

Do people not use social cues anymore to gauge a persons interest? If a woman is going to a bar with the purpose of meeting someone she is going to be scanning the room every now and then to see what’s out there. If you haven’t noticed her checking you out, stealing glances, smiling at you etc then you’re probably invisible to her and not her type. I don’t understand just approaching someone who hasn’t even noticed you exist and shooting your shot and hoping for the best. It’s easy to tell if so…

The problem is that there’s a certain number of men who take friendliness and niceness as an expression of interest regardless of the words coming out of the woman’s mouth. A lot of men can take a no and move on but a lot can’t and if you’re too nice and smiley they can start to pester you and just be generally creepy and annoying. Women don’t know which strange man is going to take the no and which ones are just pests, being rude and unfriendly from the get go ensures the lack of interest is un…

It definitely depends on the circumstances of the people involved. I said being a stay at home parent was preferable because even though being a SAHP isn’t all cheerios and playgrounds kids grow up fast, really fast. It can be hard to see the light when you’re in the middle of it all but you look back and realise how short a time it all was. My husband is still working his physically demanding job, outdoors most of the time in all kinds of weather and he’ll be doing that until he retires. Consid…

I’ve worked full time and also been a stay at home mom. Being a stay at home mom is easier by far. Obviously there are challenges and some days are awful but you are on your own time. You have no boss, no manager. Babies and young children nap during the day and once they start nursery/school everything is on easy mode. You have free time every day to do errands, clean the house etc without the children around. I didn’t actually need to go to work but I got a part time job anyway because I was b…

If a man suspects a child he is providing for isn’t his then he can get a paternity test. I’m not sure what you’re trying to argue for here.

The amount of women that are letting multiple guys nut inside them unprotected and while not on birth control during that monthly 4-5 day fertile window and then tricking guy A to raise guy Bs child or is just unsure of paternity is so small that it’s not a concern to most people.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
