u/Dyin2Liv They have nothing to lose by sticking around and seeing if she changes her mind, or if they can try to change her mind. I don’t think you need to accept being a friend zoned friend, unless you’re comfortable with that. Just be careful you don’t get used. But if you want to be seen as dateable by her, don’t accept anything else. I’d love to see you decline her demotion counter offer, then she sees you back at the gym all knowing your worth and all.

Only a few people here got it right. He’s sweet. All that crap you all listed is so overrated. But a sweet guy? Gentle spirit? Easy to get along with? Attentive in an affectionate way? Ah. That makes a girl’s world go ‘round. And guys like that are in short supply.
