Finding a good partner is extremely difficult and not everyone is that lucky. Best thing to do is be yourself, self reflect consistently, and be honest with the people you interact with. A good relationship is built on trust and genuine interactions.

I think the happiness comes and goes with being single for an extended period of time. I've been single for 5 years and there have been times I was legitimately glad I was single.

These people weren't talking about climbing a corporate ladder. They were talking about enjoying learning in an academic setting, as well as enjoying their occupation.

"Women who like work and school have zero free time", what an idiotic take.

Okay this is just bait. Low quality, low tier bait. Try harder next time and maybe you'll be edgy enough to impress the men here.

You know what work and education is to you. You don't know what it is to them. Why post here if you don't believe anybody who disagrees with you?

These women are literally telling you that they like work and they like study. Get it through your thick skull that you are wrong. It's okay to be wrong sometimes as long as you can admit it

Why is that a problem? If women want to have high standards and die alone I don't care

Okay I can see you're very angry. Keep in mind that women can make awful generalizations about men as well! Did you know that way more men rape and kill women than women rape and kill men? Believe it or not, that's even worse than you letting a woman use you for your money. You're mad that women post what they want online, but you forget that it's men's fault in the first place. I feel so bad for every woman in your life. Oh and btw, I'm a man too! Just not a sad, woman hating man.

You were insinuating that men who assault women for not getting pussy are just being "men". Now you're afraid to say the quiet part out loud. Kind of a cop out, really.

Okay okay, I'm just curious what you meant by "Men aren't entitled for being male." ?? When I said "entitled men assault women"
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/21 01:21 AM

Assaulting women is a part of being male? The reason women receive lesser sentences for the same crimes is because we live in a patriarchal society. Smarter people than us have already answered the questions you have
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/21 01:19 AM

I agree that it affects men differently. Entitled men who feel they are 'owed' pussy end up assaulting women. Entitled women are annoying.

I get your point... but also what is a good catch? I barely date for looks at this point (just a little attraction is enough if their personality is good) and it's still tough. It's hard to find a person you gel with enough to be exclusive. Welcome to dating

A reasonable and well thought out take. In convos with my guy friends they seem to be the more stereotypical "I'll do whatever it takes to get in her pants" kind of guys. That ain't me, and it seems like I may have wrongly assumed the reason. I am a low libido guy, and I think that makes it easier to turn down sex, but not all high libido men are pussy whipped. Thank you for the alternate perspective.

Just because you feel inclined to force yourself into society's rigid definition of masculinity, does not mean that every man has to or should. I wear dangly earrings, paint my nails, cry when I watch movies, and I don't have any problem getting dates. If you truly want to be a stereotypical man, all the power to you. Testosterone levels have almost nothing to do with libido. You need to read up on science a little bit. And even if they were, isn't it better to be proud of myself? To learn to love myself?

They need to check their biases if they're only taking for emotional or physical validation. Date so you can share your life with someone you like, the good and bad parts.

That's an oversimplification of gender theory. I am a man, but I have many qualities that would be considered "feminine". I wouldn't be able to freely express myself if I was stuck in a hard gender binary. Also, my dating life isn't affected negatively whatsoever by my proclivity for painted nails, pink scrunchies, and somewhat effeminate walking style.

No I don't. And I never spend more than 20 bucks on a first date. Coffee and a fun activity aren't expensive and you'll know if you like being around a person

I think the fear is that we don't know exactly who it is, and not all of us are financially stable yet, especially college students. The idea I could waste 20 bucks on a shallow woman who's just looking for a free meal is disappointing. I agree that most women aren't like this, but men are right to be wary.

Talk to more "unattractive" women. They're the coolest women I've ever met. As long as men aren't shallow (as we expect women to be) there's some awesome women out there. I used to chase 8's, but they were so boring. Now I chase interesting people.

Communication is not based on gender. Some people suck at communicating, others are good at it. As for anecdotal evidence, the women in my life are better at communicating their emotions. The men in my life are better at communicating plans and goals.

There is nothing wrong with being passive and avoiding confrontation. I personally have no need to tell others how I feel, seeing as they don't give a fuck anyways. Make moves in silence, and choose which hills you want to die on carefully.

The crazy thing is, I don't have to fit that mold. I'm not 6', I don't have ripped six pack abs, I'm not an stereotypical "man's man" who everyone secretly detests, and I can still get laid. My personal experience goes against RP philosophy, so it's hard to believe what they say.

I don't respect or believe many people at all, men or women. You don't know me dude. Who I am is who I wish to be, and it took hard work to get here. Your definition of "real self" is restrictive and boring.

The cards are definitely stacked against us. The day I stopped spending money on women was the day I accepted wayyy fewer dates in my future. I encourage men to truly exit the dating pool at least once, because you'll always be content no matter your relationship status or body count. I am much happier now than when I wasted energy on getting laid. I too want men to be relieved of their gender roles, so I do my best to live as an example.

Precisely. But simps will never stop simping so it's a futile fight
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/20 09:57 PM

Sadly, no. No matter how many men "simp shame" and show self respect when communicating with women, there will be a million men ready to simp regardless. From the women's perspective, I see why they'd let simps show them attention, buy them stuff, and put women on a pedestal. Personally, I'm just waiting for a woman that reciprocates interest without me embarrassing myself first. If that never happens, then it's okay.

You're allowed to discriminate against whoever you'd like when it comes to dating. Discriminating against unchangeable genetic features is inherently more shallow than discriminating against features a person could change. As long as you can admit you're shallow, I see no problem in aiming for your ideal partner. You may miss out on wonderful people, but if you aren't truly attracted to them, it wouldn't matter anyway. So to answer your question, women of any size can discriminate against height…
/r/PurplePillDebate25/04/20 01:40 AM
0

A person's height has nothing to do with their personality or habits, and weight usually does. My own personal weight preference is based on my wish to share my lifestyle with my partner. When a man gets rejected solely because of his height, it shows a certain amount of shallowness in the woman. It is important to remember that everybody is shallow to some extent, but women who don't like short men try to pretend they aren't shallow.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/04/20 01:20 AM
4

Most short men understand the difference between height and weight preferences. That is why they use the hypocrisy of that comparison to show the unfairness of heightism. Race preference is closer to height preference in the fact that it is genetic (unlike weight). Race, however, determines what a person's face will look like. That is considered the most important part of attraction by short men. I will add that some people's racial preferences are rooted in actual racism, and that should not be…

/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/20 06:21 AM

I wanted to mention something, though "alpha" characteristics and confidence are important, height only negatively effects dating and hook up success when the man is extremely under average. Speaking as a 5'7 guy who was successful in the past.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/20 05:23 AM

Our differing inherent natures are the reason we've survived as long as we have. Are they frustrating at times? Of course. But the growth that results from attempting to understand the other sex is immeasurable. The best people I've met do everything they can to fight against their nature in order to become the best version of themselves.

I've never been a big fan of the beard comparison, as they grow naturally. Men are supposed to have facial hair. I do see your point about both genders using tools to improve their looks though
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/20 06:13 AM
10

I think women can reject a guy for any reason they want, though the hypocrisy of makeup is evident. I've seen women look like completely different people when they take their makeup off. It is quite odd to me that the gender who most encourages self love and acceptance can't accept what they actually look like. Would love to hear from women who has a different perspective on this.

This isn't really fair since I don't know how much of a personal connection I might have with this person, but I'd probably pass on that one. It matters to me because I purposely don't sleep around. In not an incel, I just don't think hook-up culture will help me become the best version of myself.

What's the use of a "purple pill" type discussion you're going to discount everything women say as lies?

When I want to, yes. Low libido makes life easy.

I'm a man and not incel or mgtow. I'm just okay with being single because of the difficulties of modern dating. This sub is a good place to discuss problems I have and get other viewpoints on them. Some people are pretty far into incel territory, but there are quite a few reasonable people on this sub imo

You forget how chad's have tricked average women into thinking they're in the upper tier of attractiveness. Women may be attracted to average men, but since Chad's are willing to pump and dump average women, those women think they can lock down and chad for life

I'd be miserable, mentally abused, and still suicidal.

Why not both? Jerk it in the basement thinking about Scarlet Johansen and then go to a party and have fun.

First time I've seen that. Life changes a man.

The hive mind is annoying, but it will never dictate what MGTOW means to me. Keep speaking your mind, that's what this sub is for!

There is something to be said for the our evolved hip shape causing more pain during childbirth, but painkillers certainly make the process much easier.

I'm young and work a very physical job that keeps me in shape, but it only works my pull muscles. I do push-ups every night to make up for it, and I look better than I ever have.

Yeah but to most people, seeing a new number in that 3rd spot is what matters.

I have long hair, so I buy good products that will treat my hair right. Doesn't mean I'm gullible, just means I do my research and care about my appearance

Savinthebees is hilarious, anyone here who has twitter should follow him. He's not MGTOW but he's decently red pill

One red pill truth I remind myself of daily is that humans are animals. We are controlled by hormones and emotion, so the key to enlightenment is taking control of these impulses.

This is exactly the type of comment I was looking for, thank you! I never realized women were so much more obese on average.

Oregon is amazing besides Portland, Salem, and Eugene. I drive 10 minutes in any direction and I'll run into something beautiful

She asked, "Why not?" And I said, "It's just not a good idea. I can forgive you, but we'll never be close again, not even as friends."

I definitely will. I love giving people a chance but I walk away easy when they fuck me over.

Whatever works for you man, but being close-minded about diet is how you hit plateaus. I'm just offering what works for me.

Look up intermittent fasting. Breakfast isn't the most important meal of the day, cereal companies just used that as a campaign.
/r/MGTOW15/11/19 02:20 PM

Start by skipping breakfast. That's still a solid 500-750 calories you're taking out of your diet. I've been doing it for a year and now I prefer it.

I'm just saying, movies glorify a lot of bad stuff, this movie isn't a slight against men or men's rights. It's just a movie.

I just enrolled for classes next term. I'm heading back to school after dropping out during some post breakup depression. I don't know what I want to do, but I promised my parents I'd graduate someday, and I know I'll find something that I really want to do. I need to work on my mental health. I've grown and improved so much, but there's a few final hurtles to get over.
