I would rather have a guy who has only slept with 0 - 3 people. My current partner only had sex twice and never had a relationship. Guys with huge N counts usually have a notch on the bedpost attitude. . When it comes to women, I prefer a higher N count. As long as they were doing it because they enjoy sex and not because they were desperate for attention. It guarantees that she has a sex drive and actively seeks sex. . Both of these attitudes have netted me good, highly sexual relationships. I …

Because it's not half of your shit. When you enter into a marriage, anything you earn from that point on is considered joint property - during the marriage, you may decide that the husband controls the finances. You may decide to sacrifice her career to save money on child care. But when you divorce, it is up to the judge to split all assets up. This includes awarding money for the opportunity loss of her job. While it's less common in men, it's 15% in my country.

This is something that I don't understand with regards to RP. I'm bisexual (28f). I think that the majority of each gender stay exactly the same. I prefer older men and women and there isn't much difference from 20 year old. There might be a bit of sagging and some lines but not nearly as many as RP suggests. That said, the main difference is sexual experience. Older people are so much better. But if you're opting for a long term? You and your partner should be the same age and financially well …

My boyfriend and I run a guild together and this stuff happens a lot. So we have a rule: if guys harass a girl after their first warning, they get kicked. If a girl tries to scam stuff, she gets a warning before getting kicked. We've had a couple of people meet their wife/husband/SO in the guild and the rule works nicely.

That's not what they're asking. They're asking where the line between some of TRP's practices and domestic violence is. Like, there are people in a thread here denying the existence of emotional abuse. The "Nuclear Option" is when you destroy their self-worth with the notion you do not find them sexually appealing in any way whatsoever. For attractive women this is in all likelihood the worst hit you can inflict on a woman's ego. So... Destroying their self worth and hurting their self esteem. W…

Yes. She should let you know. I'm a woman who hangs out in nerd circles and if I'm making friends with a guy, I drop the fact that I have a boyfriend early on. If I think he's getting a crush, I confront him and tell him that there is nothing that will ever come from it, no matter what happens. I crush every tiny sliver of hope brutally. I also reject any gifts and shit because too many guys will cling to any shred of hope with a girl they're friends with. Too many people don't actually realise …

I agree with you that men are stronger by far, physically. But when you're play fighting with a partner, you're subconsciously afraid of actually hurting them. If someone comes at you from the front, you have an okay chance to hurt them. But running away from them is almost always better. Somewhere residential. It's better for women to keep up solid cardio. Shit, it's better for men as well, but they won't do it. Also, mother nature isn't going to make women stronger because she trains. That req…

The way to be a patriarch and be a feminist would be this: you choose a woman who likes and wants to be taken care of by a strong, older guy. You don't impose this belief on your kids - male or female. Women should also not force men to fill those roles, because even if it doesn't seem that bad, it can be exhausting. I've not met many feminists who have a problem with people choosing that lifestyle, as long as it's not forced on either partner. I have a similar thing with my boyfriend; he loves …

Again, you can look at the parliamentary papers mentioned or History of Cotton Manufacture. The textile industry also had a huge, unregulated cottage industry in the UK up until the industrial Revolution, where mechanisation pushed women out of their primary occupation. But up until the point I mentioned, women were working. The advent of the industrial Revolution makes numbers hard to gauge. https://academic.oup.com/hwj/article/81/1/17/2385582 discusses this and women's employment. http://eh.ne…

Even without economic dependence, most people have married someone from within 20 miles. Choices were very limited. That said, while you're right about being economically shackled, for a large part of the last 2000 years, women and men have had to work together every single day. Limited choice+financial shackles+family pressure+men going off to war as part of a lord's levy and leaving their family means that women's families want to select someone who has a chance of coming back.

I wasn't talking about myself, I was talking about my married friends. I'm the youngest of our group at 27, so they love gossiping to me about their marriage. I think the worst thing they ever confided in me was that they hated their MIL.

Personally speaking, I prefer throwing people out of helicopters into a gulag filled with communist manifestos and other bourgeois scum. ;) Isn't that what Marxism about? Anyway. You're right that men are stronger and more aggressive than women. That said, there is evidence from a guy called Plavcan that sexual dimorphism waxed and waned over the course of history. Sometimes women are small, other times they're larger and more muscular. Not as strong as a man, but stronger than modern women. On …

How do they make it clear? Do they just open up and tell you that deep down, they hate their husband and long for Chad's thunderous cock? Because in my experience, most people are depressingly normal and regular. They love their S/O but hate that they leave socks everywhere. They love their S/O but she spends too much on shoes... There's no secret longing for Sir Thundercock or any of that shit.

When researchers are startled by a statistic like that, you can be pretty sure that it's pretty uncommon among human beings. I don't believe in 82 genders because that's as bullshit as the majority of evolutionary psychology.

You're actually proving my point, here! Look at silk production, there are 35,000 women working there, compared to just 25,000 men. There are still more straw bonnet and straw-weaving women at 9k women and 300 men, Corsets are largely made by women (5.6k vs 900), Spinners (9k vs 3k), Seamstress (27k vs 200), Muslin manufacture (100 vs 3k), Lace manufacture (6k vs 21k), Cotton manufacture (144k women vs 133k men), Flax and Linen has more men by 2k, I can give you that. I kind of wonder if it's because men here feel like if they get married, then they're settling for someone. Thus, logically their partner feels the same way? Because honestly, the only women I've met who were truly unsatisfied by their relationship are the ones who married when they were like, under 25. If they married a guy their own age, usually they've matured and they just aren't compatible. If they married an older guy, either he always treats them like a child or he is a man-child. I'd say…

Yes, because women never stood up to their oppressors or were on the battlefield. There is no Lady Fu Hao or Queen Tomyris. The truth of the matter is that almost everyone was oppressed by rich, European men due to their wealth. I know that might be a bit Marxist, but it's true. When it comes to hunter-gatherer societies, it was both genders who hunted for game. This typically involved running after the prey for hours until it collapsed of exhaustion. Pretty much everyone would be involved. If y…

What shits me is the lack of knowledge all around. People here repeat the 80/20 rule like it's fact, despite lack of evidence. Then you have all the evo psych stuff, which is nearly all uneducated guesswork. I saw a post suggesting that women moan during sex to attract more men to cum in her. A guy responded to me saying that it was a man who created the first fire, first club, first tools and women couldn't hunt or do anything and that's why they got oppressed. I'm amazed that the guy figured t…

To be fair, if you look at recent studies, the portion of men and women not having sex is roughly the same. I'm being liberal when I say there is a bottom 5% of men who just can't have sex or a relationship. I honestly believe that things like autism play a role in this. I say this as someone who dates both men and women. There is a bottom 5% of both genders who are so unattractive that they cannot attain their goals. I'd say like, half of them are self-inflicted problems and others are genetic …

I'm so sorry for what happened to you. It's not okay that your father was abusive and that his family treated you badly, especially when you were living in so much poverty. Divorce in America seems terrible; when it's hard to live with two incomes, no wonder your one income family struggled. People should put their children before their marriage. They should put their children first during the divorce. But yeah, divorcees are much happier in the UK and usually find good relationships afterwards.…

I could correct it to 'most teenagers and young adults living in abstinence only states' but I feel as though this is quibbling. Not to mention the amount of times I'm on twitter/tumblr/Reddit and people don't know basic sex education. Like people who think ladies pee out of the vagina.

I feel like this is your own personal feelings. You're suggesting that if someone isn't a biological child, they won't love it just as much as their own? What about adoption? What about remarrying after your partner dies? Also, if you check For Better or for Worse, Divorce Reconsidered by Hetherington, they interview lots of children who (70%) say that they're happier. Yes, you can avoid arguing around children but they still pick up on body language and atmosphere afterwards.

Honestly, this is exactly it. I grew up in a violently, emotionally abusive home where my mother abused my father and I. When I believed in god, I used to pray that he would leave her. (I was like, 8 years old) I was completely jealous of friends whose parents divorced. Even though my friends had issues resulting from the divorce, most of their lives improved dramatically. No more seeing them break down and cry when people shouted, no more bruises from trying to break up parents. On the non-abus…

I'll bite here. Throughout history, women and their children worked alongside their husbands and were expected to do exactly the same work. They were at work so much that the government had to introduce the Mines and Collieries Act 1842 simply because women working naked in coal mines! With children, too! And in British Parliamentary Papers, 1834 (167) XIX - women made up between 50 and 70% of all workers in textile factories. During the Middle Ages, women also worked at brewing beer, as Spinner…

I think the problem is that far too many people have a crush on someone and think that by having sex with the other person, he/she will change their mind. They act like it's NBD and that they're the cool friend when really, it means a lot and they're hoping for more. On the other hand, my ex-girlfriend set me up with a Poly couple she was friends with when we were long distance. They both used me like a BDSM sex toy for a year or so until the distance wasn't an issue. Nothing changed between the…

I never said that you had to like it. Just that it's your responsibility to wear a condom and if you don't, then you accept the potential consequences. Congratulations, you think protecting yourself from STI's and 18 years of child support or running away is 'gay af'. And people on here call women irresponsible? As I said, if you have good contraception access for both genders and access to abortion, teenage pregnancy is much less likely. You act as though this is absurd but it works incredibly …

In regards to lack of contraceptive education, one looks to places with abstinence only education. http://www.advocatesforyouth.org/publications/publications-a-z/409-the-truth-about-abstinence-only-programs This link sums up the issues nicely. Teenage pregnancy is much more prevalent in states with poor or no education. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3194801/ This study also discusses teenage pregnancy and the negative effects of AO education, e.g STD rates. I'm sorry, but 'punishing' behaviour doesn't change how people behave, people still smoke marijuana despite the punishment. Furthermore, punishment is associated with more negative outcomes than it prevents. Also - there are no cash and prizes for having children. You're the kind of person who is already damaged and views 50% of the population as nothing but sex and baby machines. But it's important to understand that it literally takes two people to make a baby. If men don't wear a condom, then…

Because that would involve taking a hard look at society. From an outsider's perspective*, it feels like America hates single mothers but does nothing to prevent it. Most people don't have access to contraceptive information. Most people don't have access to contraceptives when they're young. Most people don't use their contraception correctly. Most people don't have access to abortion, abortion information and social stigma is really high. Having a baby is seen as a good thing, some teen girls …

I wouldn't advise anyone to be a housespouse. You're limiting yourself and putting yourself and your children at a disadvantage if the relationship breaks down. On top of that, you're giving one person an incredible amount of power over you. The rates of spousal violence in the 40s-70s suggest that it's not smart. Also, the idea of women being housewives since the dawn of time is bullshit. It was only a thing for wealthy/middle class people since the industrial Revolution. It gets more common in…

I see my friends dating in their 30's and none of them have any trouble. Men still want to get into their pants but they're usually mature enough to treat them like a human being until they can ask them out on a date. I wouldn't like to date in my 40s or 50s as either gender though. It seems like a minefield; is he still in love with his ex? Did she get divorced because she has a shopping addiction? Honestly, I think part of the problem with men who have RP views is that they believe that most women are having way more sex than they are. Look at the belief in the so-called 80/20 rule; even though there is absolutely no solid proof that it exists. They believe, deep down, that the women they date have had more sex and given more to men other than themselves. This results in some really unhealthy anger, jealousy and insecurity. PPD never changes. Too many people who won't debate honestly. What he's saying is essentially 'the exception proves the rule'. In this case, the top 1% don't experience the rules and can get who they like. In my experience, 35 year old men are attracted to 20 year old women. They don't want to start a family with them. They don't want a relationship with them. I know this because I was was a 20 y/o with a thing for older men and women. I find young men and women attractive but I wouldn't want to…

Honestly, in my experience, the Wall isn't a thing. Women who date in their 30s get snapped up incredibly quickly. Hell, the wall doesn't exist until you get to your 60s and the supply of men gets critically low. This is in the UK though. Honestly, I'd argue that the value of an average looking woman goes up because she no longer just relies on her looks. Most of the guys I know who are dating in their 30s aren't suddenly exploding in SMV and going after 26 year olds. They're looking for women w…

tl;dr REALLY long post and my hands are freezing, sorry for any typos. Why not? I used to volunteer at a shelter for rape victims (with women) and one of the things they would tell them was that it's okay to be angry. It's okay to be distrustful. Those are survival emotions and it's okay to be those things, until you get help. They told that to men, too. It's normal to feel hurt, to feel pain, to feel angry, it's okay not to trust people at the start, because you've been hurt. Because people don…

Why would we ignore working people??? When people are fleeing domestic violence, they're often leaving so much behind or at risk. The bulk of capital most people own is in their homes! Which they often still need to pay for and are thus unable to afford shelter of their own. And while I would be at the front in saying that this subbreddit can be toxic, when it comes to domestic violence/abuse, many of the men here have been denied recourse. I don't understand this weird RP fantasy with Chad and women hitting the wall, it doesn't line up with my experiences or what I judged in other 18-35 Y/o women and men. Unless the USA is so completely and utterly different to my country: You go out on a Friday night. Everyone dresses up and anyone going to clubs (goth, nerd or regular) is looking to hook-up. To be fair, high school sweethearts are also one of the biggest risk groups for divorce. I know that people like to have this romantic view of them but I think it's much more healthy to have a variety of relationships (for both genders) until the mid-20's. There are some exceptions but idk why people assume that a few ONS/fuckbuddies makes someone a slut who falls short. You can definitely go about it that way. The issue is that a lot of the guys I'm talking about are a little bit awkward and stuff, so it's easier when they find a girl with similar interests to bounce off. When you're already good at flirting and dating... it's easy to do as you said.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/17 07:32 PM

In my case, I tend to be the sort of girl who approaches guys who have the markers of what I want because if you just sit and wait, you don't get what you want. I'd find out where people with your interests hang out, for example, there's a Tolkein themed pub in my old town. Out and about, I try to be friendly and flirt shamelessly and confidently.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/17 07:08 PM

Honestly, I disagree. If you can connect a bit on shared interests, a bit of attractiveness and experiences then you're almost certain to get laid. It also makes a guy seem more trustworthy and like he's willing to pay attention to your needs. A lot of women want the chance at a little something afterwards and that can tip the balance so much more. Most people aren't so attractive that just charisma and looks get the job done, honestly.

It's hyperbole - going for really hot girls when they have nothing to 'hook' her, e.g. no shared interests. So then they're just trying to give her drinks to buy her attention.

I'm not saying that it's common to like short nerds but I know a lot of girls who like nerdy (proper, actual) nerds. When people on here say that sexual conservation isn't a red flag, I really wtf. That means you're often dating someone who doesn't have an active interest in sex. Which makes it more likely that you're going to end up in a dead bedroom situation. I agree with you that slutty behaviour is a yellow flag. Except I view it as yellow in both genders. Is it possible that they're bad at holding down a relationship? Are they insecure and filling the void? Do they get bored easily? Etc.

Honestly, as a girl who frequently picks up other girls, I understand why guys think that it's difficult even though it isn't. The mistake I see guys making is beelining straight for girls who are out of their league... Who also doesn't share interests. Like, that 10/10 Instagram model girl who loves reality TV isn't going to go for a cute nerd who wants to talk about League of legends. Like, my thing is cute nerd boys who are delicate/chubby.
