Do most women not love like men or just not capable of loving anyone but themselves?Let's go easy on putting the blame on men who got duped. It does not take much to mislead and fuck over an honest man. Nothing can be done if a shitty woman just lies to you (and often herself) and only shows her true colors after years, when house and children are locked in. Happened in my case and happens in a lot of cases. If you go and blame this on me, you can go and fuck right off. | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/09/24 03:09 AM
Do most women not love like men or just not capable of loving anyone but themselves? To be fair, we are here on a sub full of divorced men - probably most of us (me included) were majorly fucked over by this type of selfish, transactionally loving woman. I am not certain that all women are like this. But the type certainly exists. In my opionion created by the times - postfeminism, "you go girl", etc. | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/09/24 12:32 PM
Ex wife having regretsVery true, I often ask myself why I hang on to the much too large house. It's because I don't give up easily what I've built (although bought in this case). It is sad, that there no longer is a family in there, but still - I see it as major achievement in mylife to own a house. | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/09/24 07:34 AM
20 years of marriage suddenly ending. I thought we were ok. Anyone been through this? Two kids. Feel like my life is over. No, it's not ok. "just material things"? Dude, some men break their back for 15years straight to own (and provide) a beautiful home for the whole family - just to get kicked out because she decided that this is no longer working for her? I would say marrig is a pretty lopsided contract. Never again. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/08/24 02:20 PM
What do you guys think about MGTOWYeah lol, I also started checking my wife - she just divorced me once she realized that she would not always get her way. Unfortunately she showed her true colors too late. No I got two children to pay for that I see every few weeks. | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/10/23 01:23 PM
Seriously thinking about abandonging my kidsIt did, thank you. We had a good time, cooked together, went bike riding, jumped trampoline together in the yard and had movie night with Toy Story 3. They always have a good time with me. | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/10/23 03:30 AM
Seriously thinking about abandonging my kidsWelcome to family law, where right is wrong and men are fucked | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/10/23 03:55 AM
Seriously thinking about abandonging my kidsThank you! I knew I could count on someone here to set my head straight. I will do my best. They are with me the upcoming weekend and will try and make as much playtime for us as possible. It still sucks, it is like that but it cannot be changed. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/10/23 02:34 PM
Seriously thinking about abandonging my kidsThank you, that sounds like the problem. I will try to care instead of only providing. I hope that I am capable of doing this, but I will do my best. Although it probably does not sound like it, I care about my children. I am deeply sorry for not being able to give them a normal upbringing within a family. I would never have divorced, but my ex thought the grass was greener on the other side. Unfortunately, I have no lawful recourse against the move, and it is already done. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/10/23 12:38 PM
Seriously thinking about abandonging my kidsActually I look for the contrary. I just don't feel normal. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/10/23 11:42 AM
Seriously thinking about abandonging my kidsYes I am a crappy dad. Just as I've said, I can't relate to small children, even my own. I am doing the best I can and usually they have a wonderful time when they are with me. But for me it is stress and mental boredom at the same time. I just don't know why I should even do it? It costs extra time, money, nerves. I enjoy it sometimes but most of the time I am overhelmed and feel inadequate. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/10/23 11:35 AM
Seriously thinking about abandonging my kidsI kind of have it in writing since that are the terms of the divorce. I pay full CS and in turn "may" see the kids every other week and 4 weeks during holidays. The keyword here is "may" which a lawyer explained to me as: this is no obligation but a right. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/10/23 11:12 AM
Have You Completely Moved On?There should be another option:"Yes, but I still miss all the financial freedom I worked so hard for from time to time" | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/10/23 10:16 AM
Just need to ventWow, sounds like you need to get out. Get your kid 50/50, split assets. Do not give her any more than absolutely necessary!! I need to urge this, since I myself was a retard and even after she told me "I am not happy anymore", I wanted what was best for her. So I gave in to almost everything she wanted. Three months later she moved (with our kids) 300 miles away to her "new" boyfriend. I feel pretty stupid in hindsight. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/10/23 06:00 AM
Filed together for an amicable divorce despite gut instinct.Dont give her the kids - I was in the exact same position and thought it would be ok this way. I,was traditionally the provider anyway so I thought I woukd see the kids every other weekend and also on afternoons inbetween. She led on that she would move to an appartement just 5 minutes away. She did so and so I signed the papers. Three months later she informed me that she (and kids) would move 300 miles away to her "new" boyfriend. There was nothing I could do, since it was agreed in the divorc… | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/10/23 03:45 PM
Fuck the court! and fuck this System. I am sick from going to court every month because she feels like itI really dont understand the second part of your suggestion either - why should he make more kids? Any man would be stupid to give another crazy bitch another set of ammunition against them? | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/10/23 05:50 AM
How do you prevent falling into the trap again?I could never ever fall into anything similar ever again. Just watching actions, not words. Before my first (and only) marriage I did not know family law, now I do. | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/09/23 02:59 PM
Want to divorce wife after her affair, but don't want to see my kids less, leave house, and lose half my stuff.Ah marriage is such a raw deal for men, unbelievable that we still do it. There is a reason the call it "the most important day in HER life" | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/09/23 02:57 PM

Leaving her the houseLol, that sounds exactly like my ex. A house was just not enough. Where is the camper? Where are the vacations?! (We had it three years until she left for greener pastures = new boyfriend). Three years in which I basically took not a single vacation and worked non-stop - I am a freelancer. It was even outspoken that I would need to work a ton and we could not afford to go on vacations for a few years until the loan was back down at reasonable levels. But nooooo - "a recreational vehicle would be… | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/09/23 03:01 PM
