That depends on how you execute. You become that if you don't try and close. You don't need to be asking questions all the time, that's not the goal. It's either to get to know her to build a relationship, or just get her to trust you enough for her to let you in closer. It's your problem if you don't seize the opportunities, or don't see that she's wasting your time. Being an orbiter is your choice.

To clarify, I have 7 years of dating experience under my belt. I know exactly what it's about. The point of that reference was to explain that I've moved past the feeling of not wanting to be with other women. My point is that I still have feelings for my ex, in particular.

I just got an electric piano and have been working on learning it. Always wanted to learn to play an instrument you can play more than 1 note at a time with so, I think I'm going to get really into it.

I've come to terms with the fact that no particular women is "special". I've had too many intimate relationships for that truth to not be self evident. The problem that I'm having is I feel as though, at least in my case, I can't be intimate with a women and not let them have some sort of emotional control on me. Those hobbies are really important to me; I've been a gamer my entire life. Taking a break from them I think would do a lot for me. Heavy shifts in environment and routine do wonders for reorganizing thought patterns. I personally don't like going to the gym, but maybe I should try it. What's a gym environment like? Do people talk and stuff or is it just silence and grunting?

So like I said above, I've never really been that kind of a guy; to go out and just talk to women to get their numbers and such. I think you're right, though. I realize that my mindset and experiences lend themselves to being attached to one girl. For most of my life, I've thought that to be the sort of thing to be what I should do, but if it's bothering me like this then maybe there is a change that needs to be made.

I had already tried it once before for over a year with my girlfriend before her, and knew it going in the second time around. I guess I should have been more realistic from the get go.
