I would be more comfortable assuming that fake claims come in both premeditated and spur of the moment varieties, like all other crimes I can think of. If so, it sounds like we might be in agreement that punishment does not deter non-premeditated crimes. I do agree that some crimes (including fake accusations) are premeditated. Love your user name, and you're doing it wrong. Cast a wide net. Part of the reason you have to do that is because you can't care too much about any particular interaction. Take a pause, because I need to say that not caring about a particular interaction is not the same as not caring about the person involved in that interaction. But if you care about what happens, it will show. If you don't care it will show. And the truth is that we all want to be with people that could be doing better.

I think his point is that if it's hard, you're doing it wrong. If you want to fall in love, do literally anything you want. No one has fallen in love enough times to know what is a good tactic for falling in love, anyone who tells you otherwise is trying to sell something.
