Men being the victims is the default. If a psycho kills a bunch of men the headlines just say people. If they kill a bunch of women they headlines specify that, as if it's a more heinous crime because of it.

As a women i have been feeling like feminism does not support mens rights, and that in majority of the world the double standards feminism has created has resulted in men and boys unfortunately being left behind It depends on the individual honestly. Yes. I'm not saying that right wing rule benefits men, it doesn't. But a lot of people that aren't that invested in politics are just gonna vote for the party that addresses their issues and not the one that ignores them

I'm gen z and in high school my friends were pretty much a 50/50 split of men and women. College has completely killed my social life though so I can't speak for that

I hadn't thought of all the military situations where women and children were evacuated but not men. Thats a good point and probably would tip the scales. Just recently I imagine there's more civilian men dying in Ukraine than women

I didn't agree with your title statement. Idk what the statistics say ofc but I would doubt that there are nearly as many men being killed because of their gender as women. There are way more acts of violence with misogynistic motives than misandric motives, I would imagine. That said, yes, violence against men is seen as more permissable and that's a problem.

Net result is the same, surely? Yea but it's not as dismissive as saying that men are to blame. Acknowledgement of mens issues is at least a step in the right direction "Yes men have issues but we need to work on these other things first" isn't as harmful an ideology as "men don't have any issues and if they do its their own fault"
