And is it an unrealistic prediction that there will be an opening of many economic opportunities once the older wealthier generations peacefully passes away? Absolutely

Already married. There have been rough patches, but gender has nothing to do with it (alcohol does). We're working on it, and I have no intentions of breaking up. If, god forbid, this does end in divorce, I don't plan to remarry

That's a very good distinction I'd never thought of

I know, right? I saw the only comment was by an actual mod, not even automod, and thought "Damn, shithead mods killed it." Then I read the mod comment and realized "Oh right, this is part of the tiny corner of Reddit that actually has great rockstar mods, who both use their discretion, and generally also judge correctly.

OP, I appreciate the post, but don't really have anything to comment until I read the book (which I plan to, thanks for the Gutenberg link). Normally I wouldn't comment in this situation, but came back and saw there were still no comments besides the mod comment and my banter with them, so I wanted to express my appreciation more obviously than just an upvote

Going to jail for what? The law is the law, and if the jurisdiction in question has Romeo and Juliet laws (and the relationship in question doesn't violate any exceptions to those laws-- this is probably the usual sticking point, frequently there's a requirement that the older partner not be in a position of authority over the younger partner, so teachers, cops, pastors, etc need to be extra careful) then no crime was committed and there's nothing to prosecute

I'm 17, you're 17 but my birthday is coming up and I turn 18 but oh well, guess we can't have sex now because it's now rape even though we've been together for 2 years Few, if any, states or countries are like that; close-in-age exceptions are the norm. Though if the couple live in seperate states they're SOL because the federal law is 18, no exception

Most teachers are women, so assuming women and men are equally likely to be child rapists, most child rapist teachers will be women

“Had sex with” please change this to raped. Just because it’s a girl doesn’t mean she’s special. It's the UK, so legally it does. Their laws are pretty sexist

What year of school? The whole 'bullying to show attraction' thing is pretty common in like junior high when everyone's awkward and still not sure of themselves, guys and girls do it. Now if it were highschool/college...sounds like she needs to grow up (as many of the people posted here do)

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthropometric_cosmetology is the spot to start on wiki, but the jist is: they break the bones in your legs, then align them like you normally would, but with a slight gap, held stabilized with a metal apparatus. Your bones heal and fill in the gap, and you are that much taller. It takes quite a few breaks to gain even an inch, and it's very expensive and probably no fun.
/r/PussyPassDenied27/11/20 06:28 AM

Since you can't even have surgery to become taller. You can in fact have surgery to become taller. A quick google will probably convince you not to, though Edit: They break the bones in your legs then set them with a gap that your body fills in. Multiple breaks to gain even an inch, long recovery time, and significantly more expensive than breast implants. I don't recommend it, though I'm not exactly a fan of breast implants either

You can in fact pay somebody to make you taller. It's not a fun surgery or recovery though.

If you're hanged properly, it breaks your neck and you die almost instantly. TV doesn't generally show this. If you do it wrong (not enough rope), you get the slower suffocation you usually see on TV. (If the rope is too long, it can actually take your head right off).

A false rape accusation, not even a conviction, will ruin a man's life. They should lock her up and throw away the key. On the other hand, she didn't make a fasle rape accusation. She made a false rape claim; no specific person was accused, and she should get off more leniantly because of that than she should if she had accused a specific person. Not that it particularly matters; she'd get off more leniantly than she should either way

Except you didn't illegally detain somebody. Assuming you witnessed or have proof of them shoplifting, and are in a state that has shopkeeper's privledge, you detained them legally. Presumably you'd let the other shoppers out before locking the door, unless you're a complete moron
/r/PussyPassDenied18/10/17 05:03 AM
0

Why would the store be on the hook for the shoplifter hurting themselves or someone else? If you walk into a 7-11 and attack someone, the 7-11 isn't going to be sued, you are.
/r/PussyPassDenied18/10/17 04:55 AM
2

Depends on the state/country. It's legal where this video is from
/r/PussyPassDenied18/10/17 03:56 AM
2

No it not Yes it is. In some states, including the one this video is from, it's legal for shopkeepers to detain shoplifters if they witnessed it or have reasonable evidence They putting themself in danger and other customers no business will okay this because it open them for a lawsuit. A lawsuit for what? Legally detaining a shoplifter?
/r/PussyPassDenied18/10/17 03:53 AM
2

Not if the shop has evidence of the theft
/r/PussyPassDenied18/10/17 03:13 AM
1

It depends on the state. In this case it is legal (assuming they did in fact have evidence of her shoplifting)

2

Not if you're correct and in the right state

I'm assuming he meant that the workers would have no right to detain them if they didn't steal anything.
/r/PussyPassDenied18/10/17 03:06 AM
2

If they were witnessed stealing, then it was legal for the employees to detain them.
/r/PussyPassDenied18/10/17 03:03 AM
2

It entirely depends on the state. It's legal in the state where this happened, but not all states or countries.
/r/PussyPassDenied18/10/17 02:56 AM
1

It depends on the state; in this case, they do have the legal right to detain her. Personally, if someone accused me of shoplifting and locked me in the store, I'd kick my way out. But I don't shoplift, and they don't have the right to detain or search me where I live, only the right to kick me out and ban me.

I would expect so, but you don't generally get adrenaline spikes that often. Frequently taking epinephrine intentionally in order to perform feats of strength would probably start to damage your muscles-- but I think in that case your heart would give out first

SJW is generally meant as an insulting term for people who argue social justice issues for the sake of arguing, usually to make themselves look or feel better, and without understanding of the actual issues at hand. They're the cause-jumpers, hopping from one to another for the cred, but never diving deeply enough into anything to get a good understanding of what's going on. It's a prejorative. People who actually fight for legitimate social issues and social justice warriors are separate groups…

Most sparkies I encounter are in the industrial sector, working on oil refineries. While they don't have gender parity, I'd guess it's about 25% women. My residential/comercial experience is a much smaller sample size, but pretty close to the same ratio. I've never worked with power generation/distribution, but it's the same electrical ticket whether you're putting in outlets, pulling cable on a mod, or working for the power company, so I'd imagine there's a fair number of them working on the hi…
