I was shocked when this study was presented to me and I saw the graph, but when I read a little closer and saw that this study used FMRI data, I knew it wasn’t as strong evidence as it claimed. Neural correlates can be caused by anything, and they don’t clearly indicate genetic cause, and thinking that all non-genetic causes fit under the umbrella of “culture” isn’t accurate either.
