Well your statistic is not only obviously false, but impossible to prove. Also, there is a difference between “being gay” and having attraction to the same gender. Just because someone may be attracted to their own gender does not make them bad people or unable to become clergy so long as they do not act on their impulses.

As an Orthodox Christain I have had the same experience as you. I have seen other denominations struggle with this, but it seems to me that the Catholic and Orthodox churches are the last ones standing for tradition.
