Actually... I have a friend who does this. Not to that much of an extreme but if she puts effort in and tells her prospect what she is doing to get ready for the date and he offers to pay for her mani/pedi, or new outfit she lets him. I can definitely see men taking that trend and thinking its unfair and exaggerating it, or distorting it into a post like it actually affects them, for fake internet points and to get confirmation aggravation from other men about this trend. I love that book. I Definitely recommend to anyone who hasn't read it. Especially during or after an abusive relationship or toxic situation with someone. It helped me recalibrate and understand what I was feeling was valid and never to distrust my intuition again.
