Did the article say she had the gun illegally?

The father actually won custody of both his children. So I agree that woman are constantly underestimated for their ability to resort to violence. But in this case it seems like even the court knew she couldn’t raise those kids. I’m interested to know what happened before this that she lost custody.

It’s hard because you can’t deny women have been slighted in the past. As a woman I’ve also dealt with sexual assault, sexual harassment, being spoken down to because I’m a woman, etc. What aggravates me though, is one of the biggest problems I find the right is their lack of ability to put themselves in someone else’s shoes. The inability to realize maybe they did achieve the American Dream, but maybe someone else didn’t have the same path or opportunities they were presented with. So feeling t…

This just proves my point for a discussion I was just having with my boyfriend. I hate to be that person who takes a random news story and relates it back to the main political story of the day. This “all thing being equal, believe the woman” precedent that’s being set is very dangerous. If this were any other issue, I’d think it pretty obvious you can’t always believe a human being on anything. Women are not inherently good and men the opposite. Women are capable of being pure trash just as goo…

Quality parenting. She tweets a serious terrorist threat to an airline, and yet somehow is allowed back on her Twitter to say even more offensive things and make a joke of what she did. Please tell me there’s a sad reason she has no parents and not that her parents seem to just not give a shit. Why didn’t Twitter delete the account after that? Edit: Apparently they did and a fake account was posing as her for years after he fact posting intermittent tweets that were highly offensive. Can’t peopl…

Thank you for reading my novels too. I’m very annoying, I know. I was voted most talkative in high school. So I feel that title is an honor I must always live up to. My nephew who’s 10 said once when he was mad at me to his mom, “She keeps going on and on telling a story with 1,000 sentences and she could have said it in 10.” It was a sobering and 100% true statement. So, thank you for skimming through my ramblings!!

I understand the instinct to feel those criticizing her are doing so with a bias. In today’s world everything is one side or the other. No in between. You can’t falter. You can’t be unsure. You can’t see both sides. You can’t see differently than the majority. It’s us or them. If you sympathize with the other side, your accused of not really being a supporter. It’s hard when we have news and media no longer presenting to us stories plainly laid out with the fact. Instead we get stories telling u…

Yes, I read the article where it showed the context. It was a nasty “joke” comment in response to a valid question of how someone can work for a helpline with their disdain for men, and helps man calling up with mental health issues. Her response makes her seem that much more childish, immature, and not qualified to be helping anyone. Here’s previous things she’s said.... (from article) —————————————————— Clementine Ford said in April she had 'addressed the intention behind these statements nume…

You had me so nervous reading this. I truly enjoyed your commentary on it! I actually didn’t see a lot of women comment although I know it’s allowed so I wasn’t sure if it was really welcome or not. Reading the comments though I see a lot of rational people just trying to defend and look out for themselves. 1 thing is women being preferred for sole custody or getting week days than fathers. That’s a huge hypocrisy right there to feminists fighting for equality. Aside from the obvious breastfeedi…

To me feminism was about believing that being a woman should never limit what you can and cannot do or what you should be doing. Never had a “men holding us down” relation in my mind. Those goals were accomplished, and it really hasn’t been long enough to have some lingering remnants of what was once ingrained into us from birth (boys get cars, girls dolls, sons can go on date, daughters stay home, Woman raises the child, husband works), or an older generations reluctance to change. The other pa…

Then I’ll write with smaller words so you understand. Find better men to surround yourself with. If they think rape is when you beat a woman in an ally only, I’d say they aren’t safe to be around. Coerce means to persuade using force or intimidation. Saying coercive rape is redundant. When your mind can handle, read my “essay.” You may learn something.

That’s true. That’s because of the media. We love seeing someone’s downfall. But if that person is later proven innocent, word never spreads the same as his initial presumed guilt. So no matter what, that man who was proven innocent, would still run into people who never got the information that he was innocent. As a woman I understand the importance of believing other women, but as the girlfriend of a man who runs his own business, I worry in this world he’s become a mark. Unlike other women, I…

What do they call that? A catch 22? Or damned if you do, damned if you don’t? I understand not wanting to prosecute false accusations because it may discourage other victims from reporting in the future. But I think their is a difference between not having evidence to support a claim of rape, with having evidence to prove a false accusation. Is anything stopping men in these situations from suing for damages? Their has to be something to deter the bad apples from taking advantage of a movement a…

You’re using the word rape for something we already have a word for, manipulation. Coercive rape makes zero sense. Coerce is defined as persuading someone by force or threat. That’s what rape is. Someone forcing themselves on you or using threats to violate you. Some men have claimed ignorance towards what we call date rape. In my opinion, those few men are ignorant about it because they don’t think a woman staying stop means much. The majority of men however, aren’t capable of rape at all. They…

I’m a woman, and I absolutely lean towards being a “liberal feminist.” But that’s ridiculous. What you’re describing is just peer pressure. Not rape. Not being violated. Do claim that mean don’t know what “rape” means is ridiculous. You’re putting the word in quotes. That’s not how the word works. It has a clear definition. I’ve never heard any men defend a rape case (who weren’t the accused). What you’re describing is similar to the Aziz (spelling?) mess of a few months ago. A woman keeps quiet…
