Shared social, political, and cultural values and both sides maintaining their SMV. My parents share social/political/cultural values. My mom kept herself fit. My dad didn't, but women care less about physicality than men, and my dad kept up his money and status. So their marriage is going great.

Oh, I don't know anything about that. I subscribe to TRP because it shows the proverbial "man behind the curtain" in the Western youth sexual marketplace. Female Hypergamy, Female Sexual Plurality (AFBB), Biological Sexual Differences, Transactional Model of Sex, Male Intrasexual Competition, are all realities. Politically incorrect ones, but realities nonetheless. Do I think men are any better? Of course not. Male hypergamy also happens: the dude cheating on his wife with his secretary is a mem…

Who's hating women as a group? I certainly don't hate women as a whole. Some of the most important mentors and friends in my life have been women. There are specific people I despise. Sometimes I use anger against them to motivate myself. Of course, I have no intention of harming these people in any way, shape, or form. What I aim to do is leverage my hate against them to forge myself into someone they will envy.

No, I'm asking what is a better motivation than hate/anger/revanchism/etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/15 01:55 AM

Well yeah, it is honest. Rage, revenge, and hate are the worst motivators...except for all the others that have been tried.

We all know that exercise is good. This med student --> doctor in the article mentioned knows that better than any of us, given that he sees what a lack of exercise does to people every day. The question is, what can motivate people to exercise? Because clearly, the health benefits didn't motivate him.

Uh, you do realize that you're playing right into what The Red Pill says with that statement: females leverage sex (while not actually giving it up) to secure material advantages from beta males.

Uh, I do hate to minimod, but why exactly are you here? You seem more interested in mocking and deriding Red Pillers (myself included) than having a discussion. And I applaud that: there certainly are a lot of trolls and idiots in The Red Pill. But I think your efforts would be better suited to TheBluePill rather than a self-proclaimed "debate" sub. Also, please give it a rest with the "entitlement" nonsense. It's a thought terminating cliche that does nothing but halt discussions. If anything, …

Well, TRP is more of a model of analyzing social relations, it's not politically prescriptive. That said, I think Redpillers fall into one of two camps: 1) Libertarian/Minarchist/Anarcho-capitalist, or 2) Archconservative/Neoreactionary. Myself, I fall into the second. I believe that humans (men and women) are flawed, imperfect beings in need of strong leaders, traditions, and hierarchies. I believe we need to look carefully when something threatens the status quo, because it may lead to unfores…

No, I would not stay around after an infidelity. Any man who does otherwise is an aberration. One thing we notice across diverse societies is that they severely punish adulterous women. Often, they would brutally kill the adulteresses. For example, as the Book of Numbers and other documents from the Near East detail, proto-Indo-Aryans would sometimes kill adulteresses by inducing ascites: forcing her abdomen to swell, with lethal consequences. Across the world, the Padaung in Thailand (who used …

But if he could get away with it, he would drum until he died. Yet he's realized that SMV is contextual, and while a young drummer bum may have a high SMV, a older drummer bum sets off red flags ("he's washed up," "why doesn't he have a job," "that's weird," etc), and thus his SMV plummets. A high SMV man, if he can swing it, will surround himself with hot nubile women until he croaks. Just look at Dicaprio.

Marriage is a good idea, so long as you stay alpha and maintain your SMV, and keep your woman in line. Otherwise, she may end up blowing the gardener or something.

It's red because you're acknowledging the reality of SMV. The "blue pill" advice is "there's someone for everyone, just be yourself!" I mean, when I see the world nowadays, I don't even see people anymore. You realize what SMV is, and that's all you see, in men and women.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/15 04:13 PM

I agree that this is a problem. But if you're a sexless beta who won't be getting desirable any time soon, is it not a better option than a Western woman? And going abroad will likely increase your SMV anyways.

Why would the Ukraine blonde ever marry a broke white guy, though? This becomes more interesting if we assume this white guy is moneyed.

It's worth mentioning that the food chain is a variable thing. For example, let's take a hypothetical shy, slightly pudgy Indian-American physician. American women would consider him a 3/10, citing his race, demeanor, and physique as demerits. Indian women would rate him higher, because they are more interested in his money and profession (Indian women are known to be more materialistic, possibly an effect of dealing with a society with vast amounts of surplus men). Does it not make more sense t…

DAE: "does anyone else [think]" It's one way that feminists mock us.

I think I should have made myself more clear: Regulated: Man exchanges resources and status for a female's monogamous sexuality. Women keep their sexuality in the confines of marriage, on pain of social opprobrium or ostracism. Example: arranged marriage in India. Deregulated: Marriage constrains nothing, with ample premarital or extramarital sex going on. High status men aggregate large sums of women, while low status men get few or none. Example: American nightclub.

No no, by all means, slut it up with as many men as you want. It's fine with us, or at least with me. What bugs us is when a woman lets a Mongol horde of dudes run trains on her for a decade of her life, but then pretends to be a pure virgin while duping some unsuspecting dude into marrying her. I mean, that's bait and switch - that's literally fraud. How can anyone be okay with that?

Lol, I cannot fathom women who want to keep their name (except for professional reasons). I mean, they're not making any "grrrl power" statement by doing so, because their name is their father's name-thus, either way they have a man's name. They are only proving that their selfish whims are more important than building a family, which one unified name is the first step towards doing so.

It's a just world fallacy to think "they're all douches," and use that to excuse maltreatment. Also, the word "entitlement" is a thought-terminating cliche, both in politics and here. And it's sexist: nobody calls a woman entitled when she asks "where have all the good men gone"?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/15 12:15 PM

Even if we accept your premise that TRPers treat women in such a way, that still leaves the fact that there are women out there being douches to hordes of men who have never heard of red pills beyond the Matrix.

Look lady, I might be on the autism spectrum, but even I know that you're deliberately pretending to be obtuse so you can mock me. By "disdain," I meant what I said: women treat such men with contempt, including but not limited to verbal abuse, body shaming, calling them "virgins," creeps," "neckbeards," blah blah. And don't tell me it doesn't happen: there was a fking SNL skit on creep shaming. And even ShitRedditSays has acknowledged this as a problem within their ranks, as I pointed out.

Well, I'll take it on faith, because I've never met such a woman. Maybe it's a fetish? Women who like emotional men are like men who are chubby chasers?

Feminism deregulates the sexual marketplace, creating a state of de facto polygamy where many women vie for the attentions of a small amount of "alpha" males. It's good for alphas, sure. Good for society? Well, this creates a large amount of surplus men, and that can't be good...just look at sexual dynamics in India.

I would have agreed with you, until I talked to a female friend (intelligent, professional, ambitious, a feminist's wet dream) who unabashedly told me that she lost all respect for her boyfriend after he cried once. Women want masculine men. TRP just says to give them what they want.

Oh boo hoo, I wasted 30 seconds of a woman's time. Cry me a river. By your logic, I should be getting angry at the guys on the street corner bugging me about Greenpeace or UNICEF. They waste much more of my time and mental energy than I've ever wasted of a woman's.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/15 12:23 AM

Oh yeah, looks are a big deal too. I consider that an "alpha" trait, but I should have mentioned that. In any case, I've seen enough of the Western youth SMP to know that TRP sums it up pretty well. Perhaps things become different when women hit the wall, I dunno.

As I've said before, I think that stuff like the UVa Hoax and Shirtgate signal the Feminist Borodino. People are realizing that presupposing "hurp durp muh soggy knees" and judging the world accordingly isn't always the way to go. Right now Feminism is a dominant political force, but I predict it has hit its high water mark, and will slowly recede. I think that most young men will soon realize that feminism and the left holds no political solutions or benefits for them (men are hurting, and "dur…

You can't ignore them, though. They are powerful aphrodisiacs. And yes, I agree. Either the women have low SMV, the man is bringing money/status, the man has elevated his SMV through aesthetics, the woman is a rare one that desires "beta" traits (they're like the female version of chubby chasers!), the woman is aging and near the wall, the woman is cheating on him with an alpha male, or they aren't too happy.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/14 06:12 PM

Or the woman likes their money/status. Yeah, that's basically it. Sure, maybe some women like "beta" traits, and that's great. But by displaying alpha traits, you cast a wider net.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/14 06:05 PM

They are aiming low on the SMV scale, or they aren't as happy as you think. I myself was in a relationship with a woman above my SMV. The sex was bad and infrequent, and we were always fighting. This was before I took TRP. Had I taken it, I would have realized that women abhor betas, and you need money, status, and alpha behaviors to ensure a happy relationship. I could have saved a couple...

A beta male can leverage money and status to get laid, which is what I plan to do when I have those tools to use. Also, I'm at the bottom of the totem pole in America. A shy Asian dude in meh shape, it's a wonder women don't spit when they see low-status men like me. But that's fine. I'll advance my career and my body, and then marry a young girl from my home country. Better that than going after American women who have been rawdogged by a Mongol horde of alpha males.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/14 03:56 AM
1

But what difference does it make? Nobody wants to be emotionally intimate with beta males like me anyways lol. In any case think TRP has been a great thing for me. A man can only hear "there's someone for everyone!" and "just be yourself!" and feminist tone policing ("see, your attitude is why nobody likes you!!!") so much before he starts wondering what else is going on. I remember back in the days before I took the pill, I would hear the feminist lies and always wonder "No, that's not right, t…

Have all the agency you want, I'm fine with that. Freedom and agency are fine and dandy, but let's not kid ourselves, they have consequences. Everything in this world has consequences. The consequence of the perfect storm of feminism, the Pill, obesity, female agency, etc, is a world with vast quantities of de facto "surplus men." That may lead to significant problems down the line.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/14 10:58 PM

I agree, it is! Feminism and the Pill released female sexuality from the shackles set upon it. Female Hypergamy and AFBB are the inevitable consequences of this. This deregulated the sexual marketplace in Western society, leading to a small number of people winning big (the alphas), and many others losing out (the betas). Before, a beta with a good job and the white picket fence would have a wife. Now, there's no guarantee of that. Arranged marriage is a regulated sexual marketplace, which helps…

Oh, I don't plan to exit any gene pool. Being Asian in the USA is a double-edged sword: it seems to suck because women hate you, but we have one trump card to ensure our genetic lineage continues: Arranged Marriage.

Agreed. And I'll be the first to say that I don't think that the "80/20%" rule is true, nor that there are discrete "alpha" and "beta" traits. Too many times, people think TRP is "The truth" (or "The lie" for BPers I guess), when in fact they should see it as "a model." All models are incorrect, but some are useful. For example, Do I think that 20% of men are having sex with 80% of women? Of course not. Do I think that among Western youth, a minority of men have sex with massively disproportiona…

How is it silly or immature? It sounds like these men have faced the harsh truth the women want alpha males and "don't want to fuck" beta males, have realized that they are the latter, and are acting accordingly. That seems a perfectly rational, economical, and mature decision to me.

I was bullied frequently, mostly because of my race. I think it may have led to some internalized self-hatred, but I don't think my luck with women would have been different had I not been bullied: I'm still a low-SMV beta male either way (skinny-fat, introverted, Asian). Only raising my SMV can help.

Ultimately, we all judge life based on our experiences. And I've seen this a over and over again in my: women working a higher status job than their husbands get angry and resentful, which usually ends in divorce or cheating. Women tend to want to "marry up." Unfortunately, being a homemaker isn't seen as "up."

That would make sense if Japan existed in this state for thousands of years, but modern Japanese society is less than a blink of an eye in terms of human evolution, so humans won't have genes to deal with it. Just as our genes predispose us to obesity because they evolved in a world of scarce food.

Remember, TRP is a model, not the truth from God. It seeks to illustrates truths about the world and women, it won't explain every little thing in the world. And I don't think all women I know act like Machiavellian alpha-seeking missiles. That said, I've seen a lot of behaviors that only TRP explains, even in progressive, professional, kind women. I never said anything about "10%" of guys in my post. I feel like you're responding to a particular TRP archetype rather than me. I have mostly political interests in this issue, the reason I align myself with TRP is because it fits my conservative views. Regarding the obesity thing: well, it hurts men too. But the way that society works, men can use things like money, charisma, social circle, blah blah to make up for it. Women can't, at least not to near the same extent. In any case, "Alpha" is…

I would say that's mostly evolutionary. There's plenty of Y-chromosomal DNA evidence that shows that we have fewer male ancestors than female ones. In other words, there is much more selection pressure on men than on women, and we are the descendants of evolutionarily successful men, that TRP would call "alpha males." The lowest "beta males" are thus consigned to the dustbin of history in each successive generation. Now, we can talk about whether this represented voluntary mating choices or not,…

We're at the point where if you don't hold certain "politically correct" opinions, liberals will do whatever it takes to ruin your life. In particular, they don't want conservatives to hold high status careers. For example, Eich was CEO of Mozilla Corporation. Half a decade ago, he donated some money to oppose gay marriage. Loaded question. My IDEAL society would actually look a lot like what I imagine an anarcho-socialist feminist utopia would look like: with gender and racial equality, lots of sex, no obesity, no slut-shaming, enthusiastic consent, and all that good stuff. The difference is that I think it's a pipe dream, a chimera. I don't think that it's possible for humans to live in such a state.
