I’ve been single for 6 years now. The main thing is that I can wear no makeup and sweatpants/T-shirt every single day without feeling like I’m “letting myself go.” I just want to be comfortable. I work from home so there’s no point and my skin hates makeup. I remember how my ex would make little comments and make me feel like shit for these two things.

I was going to say the same thing. Most of my exes went on to have long-term girlfriends right after me and on the outside they seem very HV now. I wonder if they really are. I’m like the female Good Luck Chuck lol.

Yep! My bf of 5 years started cheating on me when I changed my hair color from blonde to red. When he got caught, he said he “only dates blondes” (among other lame reasons and excuses). Joke’s on him though, I didn’t like the red and went back to blonde (my natural color) soon after I dumped his ass, and the girl he was cheating on me with dyed her hair dark brown.

I used to be a pickme who thought porn was ok. I wasn’t aware of the ED issues it causes. I haven’t had sex in almost 3 years, and I haven’t watched porn once in that time. I “take care of myself” occasionally but I don’t overdo it. I honestly don’t understand why so many men watch and get addicted to porn. Well actually, I do. It’s because we allow it.

Intuition is crazy. I woke up one day feeling like something was “off” with my bf of 5 years. I couldn’t explain it, and still can’t, but something was screaming at me to check up on him. I logged into his account (he had given me his password and then forgotten I guess) and he had exchanged sexy pics with another girl the very night before. I don’t know how intuition works but I know we should listen to it more.

I have to laugh at anyone who’s had children for tax benefits. The couple thousand they get per year can’t possibly make up for the extreme amount of work that children are.

I was on the other side of this kinda. I was the “ex” who he never actually broke up with. He told the other girl we had broken up about 6 months ago. We hadn’t broken up at all and were still very much together when he started dating her. Three months into him dating both of us simultaneously, I found out about her and called her. She had no idea he was still with me. Sooo, maybe in these situations, reach out to the ex and get their side of the story. I know that’s the “crazy” thing to do. But…

I had a baby 22 months ago. I am convinced that 99% if not 100% of a woman’s ability to “bounce back” is dependent upon how much help and support she has. I was actually thinner pregnant than I am now, because every since the baby was born I’ve been doing everything myself. The father is not involved, doesn’t pay child support, and I haven’t spoken with him in 2.5 years. I work full-time (from home, thankfully), am 100% responsible for my child, and have to manage the household duties, cooking, …

Was HE fully hairless down there? Because that’s only fair… but I’ve yet to ever be with a guy who is as hairless as they expect us to be.

I just posted a comment about this, although my experience was basically the opposite. But I love your take on this because it proves my point exactly - that a lot of it is dependent upon being supported and having a partner who actually lifts a finger.

I had a baby single, without a partner, and my sex drive didn’t even begin to come back for 1.5 years. Also, for me at least, I think a lot of it was the fact that I was overwhelmed, stressed, and not being supported. So my guess is that this loser isn’t supporting his wife very much and she’s really stressed and shouldering most if not all of the responsibilities of the baby.

I was basically homeless. My sister let me crash in her 10’x10’ room with her, sharing her bed. Ex wouldn’t have cared if I were on the streets though.

I moved in with a boyfriend during my “cool girl” phase where I said I didn’t believe in marriage (“It’s just a piece of paper” bla bla bla). The sex stopped almost immediately and we became basically roommates, but with me doing his laundry, dishes, cleaning, and buying all the household supplies. After 3 years living together, we broke up and he gave me 2 WEEKS to move out (it was his parents’ condo that we lived in). 2 weeks. And yes legally he was required to give me 30 days notice. My point…
