The problem is that while feminism is supposed to mean level-headed people like you who want actual equality, there s a very vocal minority of people (mostly women) who advocate hatred against men, heterosexuality, being thin/fit, and really just anything under the sun. They say they are also feminists, and because those people are such a big presence of social media, they cause feminism to have a bad reputation. They are often called “feminazis” or “third-wave” feminists.
