The key thing is just to judge where shes at, and how willing you are to be courageous. If you escalate well, have strong kino, you could probably get her out of her shell to do more than just kiss her. Its sounds to me like there is an element of being shy/unsure about the situation with you, too. One thing is that whatever you choose to do, do it because you want to, not cause you feel like you have to, or its the thing you gotta do now. If you arent sure that you want to kiss her, thats gonna…

Who knows? You cant. Its the internet, you dont know these guys, I dont know them either. The sad truth is that unless you build a culture that doesnt reward bragging, you are gonna get fakes, because the payoff to the fakers is worth it. This discouragement of bragging has not happened on seddit, and I kinda doubt a good 30% or so of the FRs I see.

you are right....to a point. If you insult, and then HE rises to it, then you AMOGed him. The problem is if he doesnt rise to it, which he didnt. Then you look like the asshole, and you insulted him over nothing.

you bought into his frame, the frame of him stealing the girl, by stooping to insults. You basically validated his attempted AMOG by doing that, by rising to the bait.

Stay classy, fucker. I will never get why guys in this complain about girls manipulating guys. YOU ARE FUCKING HERE TO LEARN TO INFLUENCE THEM. Or is it possible you havent figured out that push/pull is manipulation from the very beginning? This isnt even an FR, either. A helpful FR is one that goes into detail about your mental state, or the steps you went through in the attraction process. This is neither, this is a load of tripe with you bragging about stuff that isnt even worth bragging abou…

Posturing :P Its a term for the social mechanic whereby you forcibly assert a new frame, and make other people adopt it. Its like, assuming a "position" or posture on something, and when you are the first to do so on a new subject, you effectively control the rest of the conversation and interaction. Are you familiar with the concept of frames and reframing?

Y'know, I dont give a shit about how strong he is in the slightest. My beef is not about strength, or even body image. Calling the chode out on having issues? Whatever. Being all "OH, I PITY YOU, SAD CREATURE" isnt being alpha, its just assuming that position, and being a dickwad about it. Likewise, "finding something funny" is a posture in the same vein, assuming control of how the situation is seen by other people, because if the other guys is like "oh, its funny", it makes you look bad if you…

Dont let yourself go into interview mode. Ask warm, open questions, that allow her and you to engage emotionally. Basically, its all about getting emotional investment. If she starts relating with what she is feeling, she will start to feel you. So dont just ask stuff like "where do you work" Or "what do you do in college". Ask questions like "what drew you to that?" "what do you like about x?" so you can start to express how you are feeling, and you have subjects to talk about. EDIT: a more com…

MAN, I'M NOT POSTURING, ITS JUST MY OFFICIAL POSITION THAT I FIND THIS POOR FUCK TO BE SAD AND FUNNY, AND I AM ALPHA SO I INTERPRET WHAT HE SAYS AND WHAT EVERYONE ELSE SAY THE WAY THAT MAKES ME LOOK BEST No posturing here at all. 100% confirmed not posturing.

Nice posturing, bro. Really alpha of you.

It sounds to me like you dont know how to lead. Like, mirroring is good as far as building rapport goes, but as soon as you have it, you should be the one leading the interaction, dictating the emotion to mirror for the other person. In regards to AA, AA is just adrenaline. It's pure fight-or-flight, hardwired into us, so if you are gonna be approaching girls you care about in the slightest, its gonna be there. You just gotta recognise that you wanna fight, that you want that babe more than you …

What the hell? Manipulating frame like a con? Frame manipulation is like, a basic thing that humans do all the time.

Failing until you dont care about failure itself is therapeutic No shit. Except we talking about approach anxiety. Being afraid to approach in the first place. Your saying that that approaching a lot cures the fear of approaching, but how am I supposed to work up the courage to approach until I am not afraid? Oh, wait... You see the problem. Everything gets easier with experience. But encouraging failure doesnt make things easier, because its easy to fail. And the idea is to do hard things. Like…

Alright, that makes a lot more sense. Thanks for bothering to reply. I apprieciate buddism as a powerful tool for changing your mind, I just dont think fight club is a very good means of conveying its ideas. I mostly blew up cause my brother has self harmed in the past, and does pretty much what I said earlier with his emotions - he relishes feeling bad, and then does things that continue to make him feel that way, and goes on like that, hating the universe for making him feel that way. Its a fu…

Point 1 pisses me off in so many ways. Fight Club is a well executed movie of a book that was meant to be social commentary on advertising. People act like the advice and quotes in it are revolutionary koans of insight and enlightenment. The only reason that Tyler's Advice helps the narrator in any way is because the the narrator is FUBAR compared to the rest of society and on a personal level. Self-destruction is a stupid-ass goal. Trying to get a rejection? What the hell is wrong with you? If …

Then you could have reframed. Its the prom man, that shit is RIPE with potential to spin it your way.

Yo seriously, listen to this dude. You coulda spun that soooo many ways, including you getting tail. Look. Without any further context, shes asking for validation. That makes it wayyy easy to transfer it from her running the show to her seeking approval and you in control, being in charge of where the interaction and conversation goes, how and when it gets sexual, etc. She gave you easy as FUCK logistics. Refusing to give her validation is just...selfish really. There are shit tests, and there a…

This advice is ok, but you are gonna have to make sure you lay the sexual frame down hard, or there is no reason for them not to friendzone immediately.

Posturing. Posturing EVERYWHERE.

Cant help you with #1, #2 however.... You need to build the comfort. You need to establish yourself in your interaction as not just someone to fuck, but someone who is worth having other, non sexual moments with. Its not all about the flirting, build emotional connection, take it a bit easier on the flirting. Done right, she wont care about any reputation you might have, because she will have experienced what you can be like first hand, and that is worth more than any rumour.

Dude, just chill. You already have the f-close, she is obviously attracted to you. From here, just accept the fact that you are a noob, and make sure she knows it, so she can make allowances. Its ok if you are new, everyone was once. If you try and act like you know shit, and fuck up, on the other hand, you will look the ultra-chode. Other than that, you should be fine. There is really no need to impress her at this point, being open minded and enjoying the evening is probably the best way anyho…

Ask yourself this question: does she know that you are sexually interested in her right now? If not, you are pretty close to being friendzoned, especially if you have met up more than once. Because that is exactly what you want to convey when talking, if you want to have any chance with her at all. That you are a man, she is a women, and that there aint no bed in sight, and thats a problem. You can do all sorts of things with tone of voice, and intonation, or you can just be something like, "you…

Do you care? Do you want sex? If yes, than you should probably take steps to actually go for it :) If thats not what you want, then dont be bothered. Its as simple as that.
/r/seduction02/05/12 09:45 AM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
