Remove women from the equation and this is valuable advice to live by. When internal negative thoughts arise: I can't do this because "x" consciously think the opposite. Why CAN you do it? Some advice from my father that he would always tell me "don't be a don't-be, do be a do-be".

You felt bad regardless because at its core it's betrayal. There's a reason the lowest circle of hell is considered the home of betrayers, it is the worst thing one can do. My father, an inherently red-pilled man, would always tell me "your word is your bond"....this can equate to "never betray anyone or risk losing the trust and social standing of everyone". He never bothered incorporating the same to my sister.

It could be that you're above average in terms of attractiveness. Some guys I know have the same problem. Girls are too intimidated by them to initiate whatsoever...but with just the smallest push of approach and taking charge those same guys can have their pick of the litter.

Devil's advocate.... the social repercussions of "abandoning" a child that you've raised for hypothetical years could hurt your status, other than the personal moral obligations you may feel. You need to be conscious of all potential outcomes and how they can affect you.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
