You were right. It wrecked me when she asked for the judgement to be asap. I had to go to my car and cry for about 45 minutes

I’ve been grieving for the last 9 months even while being with a new girlfriend that makes me happy. I’m really hoping not to cry since I haven’t seen her cry at all and just her being happy with her boyfriend from what the kids say. Really hoping not to continue to cry

I’m 10 months into being separated. I’ve been with my therapist for 4 years now. Do you think this will wreck my emotions again? I’m asking sincerely because I want to be prepared.

I was in a deep hole of depression like you. Reminding myself that the kids need me to be their dad and the person I used to be was a big factor in getting out of that pit. The antidepressants helped too but the image of my kids continuing to see me as a shell of a dad pushed me to changed. I’m only a month into this change. We’ve been separated 9 months as well and she has had a boyfriend for 6-7 months. Believe me it fucking sucks but it does get better.

Depression hit really bad during Covid because she refused to go out. Couple that with being the sole provider/having anger anxiety and being yelled at when I wouldn’t help clean after a 10 hour shift…..it gets hard to want to do anything other than decompress and sleep. I acknowledge my faults in this and that I should’ve tried harder

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
