Regression and sadnessI have to agree. Once a woman decides she doesn’t want to be with you anymore and she’s lost her feelings. My experience has been that’s it. That said, I understand your pain and I know it sucks. You’re gonna have to work through it. Get support from whoever you can wherever you can. Find some trusted outlets where you can vent. Don’t feel bad about talking about it and expressing your feelings and just generally being sad. It’s part of the process. Protect yourself. If she’s hostile, you need t… | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/08/26 06:56 PM
I ‘46M’ told my wife ‘41F’ that I want a divorce and I feel terrible. Am I really a bad person or is she manipulating me?I don’t think there’s any negotiating room on the kids. You’re a father, you’re always gonna be a father and you’re doing right by your kids. That’s it. On you being close to your ex, personally, I think that’s a mistake. You gotta remember women more than men look at a lot of things through the lens of how they feel. And you as a man need to make your woman feel like she’s the only one and the most important one. If you’re not doing that ten you need to take a hard look at your priorities. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/08/26 04:33 PM
Divorce is on the horizonI generally agree with the above. There’s a point where you got to get it. Better for everyone. But have you exhausted every possible option. Have you really done the relationship work? Going to a couple therapy sessions and calling it quits seems a bit easy. Not judging I’m just saying make sure you’ve really fought for your marriage and your family before taking the divorce route. You’ll be happier knowing you’ve done everything possible. Be as proactive as possible set up couples therapy appo… | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/08/26 04:26 PM
Feels really hard to find a good partnerSo are you saying women should just change their mindset to accept men that don’t look out for their best interest? I truly think women need to also change. Do you see both sides? What I’m reading is; your thoughts and feelings don’t really matter. You are just thinking the wrong way. You need to change. Women don’t need to do anything. Just brainwash yourself to cowtow. don’t think or be critical. Don’t listen to your instincts. Just trust without any expectations. | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/08/26 02:39 PM

Feels really hard to find a good partnerOne big - little thing they never drive over to my house. we lived about 45 minutes from each other and I just pretty much always had to drive over to her place. It’s not even that I mind driving so much. Just feeling that someone is never really willing to share the burden. Also, my location was way better than hers. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/08/26 02:25 AM
Feels really hard to find a good partnerI’ll give 3 that stand out to me. Though there were more. First time we met her mom somehow the issue of guns came up. I have a hand gum. (Which I store safely). She asked if I have a gun. I told her I really didn’t want to discuss the subject at that time. She kept pressing until I got upset and almost left the restaurant. Another time we were in traveling. We had been traveling for a while. I felt really jetlagged wanted to rest. She got upset with me left the Airbnb went and got coffee and di… | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/08/26 02:16 AM
Feels really hard to find a good partnerI’ve been considering that. What do you think is the trade off? | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/08/26 01:53 AM
Feels really hard to find a good partnerYeah as I’m older i feel the cost benefit is more important. I don’t want to waste time with someone that doesn’t really appreciate me. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/08/26 01:53 AM
Feels really hard to find a good partnerFor what it’s worth I don’t think it’s you. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/08/26 01:50 AM
How little people careBeen there. And you’re 100% right. You will never get the same sympathy that a woman gets. Your family and friends will tell you man up and move on. You need to take your time and do what’s right for you. Everybody says it on here, but I’ll repeat it anyway. Focus on yourself get as healthy as you can. Do objectively good things for yourself. Try your best to build a community of supportive people. That’s been my biggest challenge. But I think most of all give yourself space and time, and don’t … | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/08/26 05:17 PM
How many of you feel that you're better off since your divorce? Share the reasons why and the ways life has improved.Overall I’m better. Healthier, more relaxed, richer, more freedom. Let’s be honest there is always good and bad. I’ve stayed in the same location since my divorce. Wish i could move but I feel it’s best for my kids to be close. Plan to move as soon as it makes sense. It’s been hard finding a good partner. I live in a very family oriented place. I have dated a fair bit but I see the same selfish inpatient traits over and over. I have two kids 50/50 and women just want me to bend over backwards an… | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/08/26 04:34 PM
Does a woman that helps a man even exist?I can second this. I feel very much the same way. Most of the women I’ve dated want a lot from me, but add very little value to my life. Maybe the right person is out there, but the energy and money to find that person is overwhelming and very expensive. So my attitude has been if it happens great if not, I’m just gonna live my best life. Unfortunately, I think a lot of guys and girls are feeling the same way. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/03/25 04:40 PM
