man expresses the slightest frustration about being single: "loser no woman wants" man has a girlfriend but [insert personally defined inappropriate age gap]: "loser who can't get a woman his age” man has girlfriend but she's from [insert country] "loser back at home passport bro"

guess I’ll need to become a passport bro and go to places where a guy using bb cream is not taboo.

I'm from the balkan 99% of women will get the "ick" from a guy doing that. In these places for men its either roll-out-of-bed attractive or nothing.

Women don't hit the wall at 30, men still want to date younger tho, but not for nefarious reasons. If you're a childless man you usually do it because you don't want to fill the role of a stepdad.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/25 07:33 AM

It’s like the hedonistic treadmill but for dating. People who suddenly win a lot of money are happy for a bit but eventually they get used to the change and it no longer feels special so their happiness goes back to normal and they want more. Well for women in dating it’s the same thing. Having tons of options starts to feel normal so they just perceive them all as mediocre and want more. Dating “sucks” for women because they aren’t able to fully understand or appreciate their privilege. It’s li…

What is the alternative for these men? Even worse is aging out of being even remotely desirable and realizing you didn’t take risks when you still had your youth/hair/nice teeth/good skin/health even if you weren’t a “Chad”. and btw , youre a mod? outside getting clowned on social media (which is rare), what is the worst that could happen? I think many guys envisioning these dark humiliating scenarios do it because what they really fear is discovering that they could be getting rejected politely by women who really aren’t mean bitches.

we’re kinda proving incels right about men finding a lot of types of bodies - from chubby and short to tall and thin - attractive and how all these women end up getting chased while a lot of men can’t get a single match or date .

Men have “lower” or more correctly put flexible standards relative to them, and especially compared to women. Im a 5’11 slender asian dude with pale skin and thick chocolate brown hair and a nice smile. I would think my league would be other cute slim girls, but in the west I am expected to be ripped on top of being tall as a man to be even remotely in their league.

dads used to lynch certain color guys for even looking at their daughter and bash their own kids if they came out as gay or trans too. I’m asian and dated an albanian girl and her father almost disowned her when he found out - do you think this speaks some truth about interracial dating or about his prejudice?

I'm sick and tired of woketards pathologizing sexual attraction that doesn't fit their ideal world. Many preferences, kinks, are developed in childhood, but are not necessarily borne out of a trauma respone. It's always a combination of several factors; enviroment, nurture and genetics. "Daddy issues" isn't even a new attempt at this, Freud believed "mommy issues" caused men to become gay - a topic liberals wont touch anymore ofc.

“freeing yourself from being wanted” is for a lack of a better term just a way to cope. Its like the vegan naturalist opting out and living in a hut in the middle of nowhere eating nothing but those half rotten bio apples. The caravan of consumer capitalism goes on without him. Just like women having orgies with top % of men will. You opting out will change nothing. Being lonely isn’t empowering. It actually sucks.

neither positive or negative. But a lot of women seem to like the idea of their guy being aggressive toward others while not abusive to her , or protective without being possessive , or a bread winner without being controlling- these “positive” traits often coexist with the “toxic” ones. Women are demanding to keep their cake while trying to eat it too.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/25 04:53 PM

“positive masculinity” cannot coexist without the “toxic” one. This simply is a paradox. They both rely on men having to perform a set of traits which essentially requires of them to exude dominance and extroversion which in turn brings us to adopting behaviors that must fit the alpha mold. At the end of the day both trad or feminist women still get the “ick” over a mans real or perceived shortcomings of masculinity.

yeah I kinda screwed the title up with limiting it to gen z.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 05:43 PM

A man would have to approach hundreds of women to find one who gets turned on by him on looks alone. As an asian guy I know 99% of western women don't have a thing for us. In fact, we don't even experience "he had grown onto me" type of attraction that comes with time. Women seem to be either on the asian men YES or NO side of the picket fence. Its like a whole new sexuality. So if a girl doesn't have a thing for asian men, its almost like as I were hitting on a straight guy hoping he changes hi…

By your descriptions it sorta seems like they love accountability They certainly love scapegoating and othering socially acceptable targets. Its like germans holding "the jews" accountable for all the mischief during Wiemar years.

define "perv" first, 50 years ago every homosexual was classified a pervert. You guys keep changing definitions and always picking some *current switching between socially acceptable targets every 10 years.

You are reflective of the type I'm describing: infantilizing young adults, pedo-baiting older adults... its hard to talk with amercians about these things because of their moralistic knee-jerk reactions.

masculinity is not inherently toxic masculinity, a man could be rugged and macho yet still not toxicly masculine. have you understood what I wrote? The big guy doesn't need to act out masculinity because he is already percieved as more dominant. It is why when people see a big muscly rugged guy not react to a provocation in a bar as confidence and him "not giving a shit", but if a scrawny dude ignores provocation he is seen as a "pushover" who lets himself get "disrespected like that". Then agai…

Do you think that a woman being a size 0, humble, virgin with a thigh gap & flat tummy is toxic? Inherently no. But if it were the only standard for appearing desirable it would be.

Women often want the good without the bad part, and usually it comes in a comorbid state. Someone who is protector/provider and ready to fuck up another guy for her is likely also more possessive, controlling and jealous.

even the plus size sub is talking about how many gymbros these days have a preference for bbw’s, I never saw a fit gym going woman with a preference for sedentary guys with a belly. Both fat and fit women seem to be attracted to fit men.

everyone prioritizes looks when its only sex: the only truth spilled out here is that men have a variety of body types that turn them on: boob guys, ass men, chubby chasers, short and thicc, long legged and slim etc.. while women’s tastes in comparison do not deviate from the standard tall & athletic hunk - there is no variety or whatsoever, they’re like a hive mind when it comes to it.

the patriarchy might be waning but women, when given the freedom to, will chase the same guys who fit the alpha mold, so were back at where we sarted.

Japanese have a different problem. They actually have (involuntary)celibate a men and women phenomena - here this seems to be almost exclusively a male problem with the women fucking the same few me until they age out of casual dating and it becomes embarrassing to be someone’s perpetual side piece.

it is not mutually exclusive within this framework: fitting the alpha mold is still what is considered attractive to heterosexual women.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/25 02:10 PM

They don't need to be promiscious for this dynamic to take place. A few woman could have a casual merely once, others are just trying out 'the field', one thinks the situationship will grow into something more serious etc... it's very simple arithmetic where several girls now date or have a "situationship" with a single guy. This automatically means several guys will be left without date while others will have a roster.

You are talking about something that is very much legal but people are becoming more and more against it because of the dangers that come with it. its a moral panic. If you look at studies about Intimate partner violence (IPV) the highest score gay/lesbian couples, with some interracial heterosexual unions having a 2x times greater chance for IPV than mono racial ones -- I never see people problematizing those pairings, even tho they have higher IPV rates than age gap couples.

so looks are the defining factor.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/25 11:09 PM

Are they really better at masking or are people more willing to overlook autistic traits in women but not in men? Shyness for example can be seen as endearing in women, its almost never seen as a attractive trait in men, even the most feminist and progressive women will say the most attractive thing on guy is that he's confident, assertive and sure in himself.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/25 11:50 AM

every thread has women saying that autistic men struggle because we let boys be socially inept, while girls are expected to develop skills to "mask it" as if we were living in some Haindmaid's tale dystopia where autistic women are forced to learn victorian etiquette for ladies. A lot of women on the spectrum barely brush their teeth...

amazing how otherwise progressive posters will claim age gap couples can't truly connect due to having different childhood memes, cartoons, insipid pop culture, but would never dare to point out cultural incompatibilities with interfaith couples coming from entirely different ethno-cultural backgrounds.

the "women don't know criminals are actually violent because of superficial charm" trope has been done to death. My uncle worked as a psychologist in a state prison. Even guys doing time for violent offenses are more likely to be in a relationship (or get into one) while serving time compared to his clients on the spectrum who never broken the law.

so are women who like asian men (I think we are the least desired group on OLD), doesn’t make their preferences any less valid.

what about height or size gap relathionship? Can a short petite woman feel truly equal in a relationship with a man twice her size? Doesn't the fact that he could pinch her against the wall and snap her neck in a whim of the moment have any influence on the power dynamic of such a relationship?

because hood parts of Chicago in the 1960s when crime rates were high are not representative of the world. And none of your posted studies suggest age gap relathionships between adults are more abusive in any significant way (the last study you posted even suggests the opposite!) In Europe we have even lower age of consent laws yet we have less spousal violence, unwanted pregnancies and abortions compared to the US where taboos around age gaps are far greater. the first one is about minors (13- 18) in high risk low income environments and not betwen adults again a study conducted in a high risk low income enviroment (ghetto parts of Chicago in the 1960s) Did you actually read this one? The levels of IPV are high in all age groups, but they actually reduce when the man was much older- 🤣
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 09:45 AM

there are no studies that suggest a higher intimate partner violence or abuse in age gap relationships - if you sort relationships based on IPV rates you get same sex couples scoring the highest - but noone ever brings those stats up as a case against gay and lesbian relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 09:23 AM

People don't need to acquire the same amount of money, status and resources to date and have sex. This entirely destroys the point of adults having the freedom to consent which means doing something because you WANT independently of whether the two of you fit some criteria reddit has come up with.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 09:12 AM

it is inconsequential in scientific sense - so far none of these studies even remotely suggest that a 18 year olds brain is cognitively any less capable of rational decision making than a 25 year old, but the shilling for the" 25 year old brain" myth remains as a pop science factoid whose popularity is almost entirely based on current ideological trends.

we should give couples IQ tests to ensure there isn’t a intelligence gap either so the dimmer one doesn’t gets manipulated by the braniac one.☝️

“the brain at finishes developing at 25” thing was always junk framed pop science the same way “we only use 10% of our brain” factioid was.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 08:45 AM

this makes no sense at all. if women had such a varied taste in men: unconventional looking guys would have their respective admirers on online dating platforms, but it turns out a minority of men are getting most of matches ergo what catches a woman’s eye are looks too, just very conventionally attractive looks. This is a topic done to death and there are still people negating reality.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/25 11:46 AM

you have bbw subs with men upvoting amateur pictures of clinically obese women, telling them they’re beautiful. Get back at me when there is a sub where women thirst over short skinnyfat men.
