| 36 | Abused Men Get No HelpI reached out to a domestic abuse hotline asking for help, and they essentially implied I was delusional and told me I should get evaluated by a mental health professional. I reached out again, telling the exact same story, but identified myself as a woman instead of a man, and they were incredibly empathetic and offered information on tons of different resources. I have screenshots. Nobody cares about men. | /r/MensRights | 12/07/23 05:18 PM |
| – | The US suicide rate has reached a 30 year high and remains nearly 4 times higher among men compared to women. Yet this article seems most concerned with the increase among women.I once had a feminist explain to me that the male suicide rate is actually a result of male privilege. Something along the lines of, "their suicide rates are higher because they have the most freedom." | /r/MensRights | 22/04/16 04:42 PM |
