This isn't the first time in human history this has happened, and it certanitly won't be the last. Trading money to avoid conscription is as old as the concept of organized warfare. If you're a poor man you're cannon fodder, if you're rich you can buy a commission or bribe you're way out of service. Your mother is toxic, my best advice is to cut off as much communication with her as you can. She is not going to change, nor does she want to. Misery loves company, stop being her company.

Listen to whatever you enjoy. You were not put on this earth to meet the combined expectations of woman kind. If listening to Jordan Peterson helps you become a better person, and makes you happy thats all that matters.
