I agree it does sound like it would detach in that way, but also I believe context and tone play into that more critically. Also not all jobs all stressful in the military, k was a mechanic and pretty much did 7-4 with extra bs, unless we had to support pending missions. I haven’t lost connection at all with my social side, it’s more of habit that. I never considered it as taking anything away from a woman.

Not all “males” see it that way, some probably don’t even think about it, but being in the military it was more colloquial. I try not to say female in conversation, especially after reading comments like yours, but it slips sometimes.
