I agree with you. Faking confidence is self-delusion that won't help in the long run. Better to work on yourself and take calculated risks. Start slow and on small targets. Work your way up!

I am in the same boat. I dress well; I am great at opening and having a good time with girls, but I get a high flake rate over texts or day two. I am not sure what I am doing wrong here. They seem to enjoy my company a lot, but then when I call or text the next for a day two the attraction seems to have fizzed out.

Its not something we can decide for you. You need to realize who's existence means more in your life - John's or Lisa's? Once you figure that you, you'll know what to do. Personally, I have always chosen friendship over a girl I like/have one-it-is for. To put it simply, think of how you would feel if one of your long time close friends takes Lisa away from you. EDIT: Read thistooshalpares's advice. That is very important in our pursuits for the right one.

She is jeering at my jokes, making fun of me, and altogether acting like she's talking to a 10 year old. I would have given her a smile and continued speaking to the target. Completely ignoring her would have made her feel like a bitch and shut up.

Well, drinking helped me get rid of AA. After that, I was the one getting most groups together and befriending everyone. I probably won't see any of them again, but I am sure they will remember me for a long time.
