Hmm, well I am Asperger's. I'm much better at dealing with what is literally stated than subtexts. It sounded to me like that guy was literally stating that TV was some kind of mind control device which 'dertermined' how people are, which is obviously false. According to the upvotes, I guess most people interpreted otherwise. Oh well.

Oh, well, the filter installed on top of the model certainly does add a more arbitrary level of bias to it, but only for a certain set of queries. I was more talking about the general bias all AI models pick up from their training set.

Honestly ChatGPT has been hardcoded to always reply like that if you try to treat it as a human. The text model itself will happily act as your friend, lover, wife, son, god-king, whatever. The training data isn't people talking to ChatGPT, it's textual data harvested from the internet by a company called OpenAI. All the training happens 'offline', before the model is used. AIs aren't programmed one way or another. Everything they say is picked up from their training data. You're right, they can't be trusted to be impartial, but that's not because of their programming - they took garbage in so they put garbage out.

Brave is closed source and relies utterly on the technology produced by Google. It basically is chrome with a few bells and whistles slapped on top. Most websites will probably count Brave users as Chrome users, too. I don't think you're striking much of a blow against google by using a chrome derivative.

Well, in reality when you're dead you can't suffer any more. The women are generally the ones left behind who do have to deal with losing their husbands and sons. Of course, the soldiers who don't die probably have the worst of it. PTSD and horrible injuries, etc. Nobody has a monopoly on suffering.
