What advice would you give to men who are interested in "just sex"? Pretend I could not care less about fucking sluts.

It sounds like there's a long story there and I'm sorry you've had to go through all that.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/24 11:46 PM

I appreciate your perspective and the time it took for you to share it. Based on your post, it seems as if men are primarily needed for what we can do for women; from a societal perspective to enact change or simply provide labor. Knowing that how wanted/needed I am is tied to what I can do for women is not comforting. That's where left leaning circles fail men and the manosphere succeeds, I think. The manosphere will tell men "You are valuable and valid. Full stop. No qualifiers." Along with a …

This might be true but improving appearance has tangible, easy to understand, recommendations. Telling someone to get closer to a healthy body weight, improve their skin care routine, wear clean clothes that fit them well, or get a haircut that looks nice with their face is prescriptive and actionable. Telling someone to "carry themself better" is not.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/24 07:05 PM

I think the manosphere/red pill are toxic answers to something real that men are feeling. I can even somewhat agree with a possible struggle to adapt to new gender roles and feeling less needed or useful in society. You are dead on. As a man, society and women do not need me any longer. Arguably, they don't want me any longer. We're often told that everything wrong is our fault. This makes men feel alienated, cut off from society, and when men look for sources of validation they often find manos…

I drove to his place with a bouquet of roses just because I could and took him to lunch, kissed him and told how handsome he is This is very sweet. He's lucky to have you in his life.

I've noticed that in the younger generations of women there are increasing levels of "get it done" attitude. Women taking on DIY projects and learning skills considered outside the feminine wheelhouse, for example. I know a gal who taught herself woodworking. I think that's awesome.

I wasn't lucky enough to be born into a wealthy family or have a handsome face, so there's some truth to what you are saying about luck. Recall my comment from earlier up the chain: "if lazy and non- contribution are the standard, let's say 3 out of 4 women, and it's already hard enough for a man to have dating options, I don't see the point in ending the relationship with her." I'm not desirable, which means leaving a relationship - no matter how one-sided - would result in me being single. I d…

I think it sucks how guys are expected to ask out and chase women. Thanks for acknowledging this. Believe it or not, just knowing someone acknowledges it as a problem helps a lot.

It's normal for humans to want romantic partners. We're social animals and being in love with someone is preferred to not being in love. If there was a chance I could find someone who would reciprocate then I might chance being single for a while. Since I look the way I look and make the amount of money I make, that would be very foolish of me. Being pragmatic about it: either I accept that women don't reciprocate effort or I die alone. I choose not to die alone. That's a perfectly normal decisi…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/24 05:43 PM

I hate that women have to deal with SA and rape, but especially when it happens as they are trying to date and find a potential partner. It's dehumanizing and has to make it harder to trust men. I will never tolerate that behavior, or being flippant about that behavior, from the men around me. I love that women are (as least in general) open and like to talk with their close friends. My guy friends are great but it's my girl friends who will just talk to me for no other reason than to talk. That…

No even close. I put forth effort when I'm in a relationship. I take initiative to do things she I know she'll likes and let her know I care about her. I just don't expect reciprocity from women. When I expect the caring to be a two way street I'm always let down so I stopped expecting it.

I have relationship experience; my adult life has been spent in short and long term relationships and I am in my 30s. Women seem to not put in effort into maintaining a relationship unless the guy in question is very attractive + some combination of high status or wealthy. If he's not, it's up to him to pull the romantic weight. If he doesn't, she'll leave him for someone else, because a woman has no trouble lining up another man.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/24 03:24 PM

I think a lot of people would disagree that A statistically significant number of people think the 2020 US presidential election was "stolen" by Biden, that doesn't mean they are right.

Tell that to the majority of men who are in a relationship. Guess they’ll be surprised to learn that their partner doesn’t desire them. There are other reasons to get into a relationship besides desire. There are cultural or religious pressures, financial needs, or just wanting companionship. A woman I'm close friends with said she kept steady relationships going in college because if everyone knew you were with a guy, the creeps and weirdos were less likely to bother you. Women can have a relat…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/24 01:57 PM

Women desire men. For sure, about 1 in 5 of us. The most attractive and wealthy, if you want to get specific. For the other 4 in 5, women don't desire us. Happy to help.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/24 01:49 PM

Women have learned how to be single rather than settle for a one-sided relationship. Why haven’t men? Woman don't really desire men to begin with. They don't find us attractive. If they did, maybe they wouldn't want to be single as much.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/24 01:46 PM

What constitutes are contributing nothing? Putting effort into a relationship. Contribution does not necessarily mean money. Planning things to do together, doing whatever special things he likes (thoughtful gifts, massages, etc.), being emotionally supportive when he needs you, and being more giving sexually. I don't really care if a woman makes much money. So long as she has a job, that's fine. That's the case for most men. You don't need wealth to attract a man. Personally, I want her to have…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/24 01:40 PM

I wouldn't call it settling. It's just the way things are for the vast majority of men. It's either accept that as truth or don't get a partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/24 12:28 PM

No, not all women... but if lazy and non- contribution are the standard, let's say 3 out of 4 women, and it's already hard enough for a man to have dating options, I don't see the point in ending the relationship with her. Chances are good you are going to end up in a similar situation next time anyway, assuming you can find someone willing to have a relationship with you.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/24 12:06 PM

"Approach" does not always mean "cold approach" though.

Agreed. Fewer men should approach women. Sincerely, All the men who appreciate you taking yourself out of the competition

"well she went through a lot and she’s emotional” Using that logic a white supremist is justified in their hatred of minorities if a minority assaulted them in the past. We know that isn't true, so why is it okay to say things like "men deserve to die"? Preaching to the choir, I know, but it frustrates me.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/24 04:25 PM

it’s disgusting to clump any group together and tell them they deserve to die. Agreed. I don't know why this is a controversial statement.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/24 04:16 PM

for the record wrt dating apps, I would have rated him below-average (if asked) from his photos. I can't imagine being with someone who considers me below average. That's just painful. I feel sorry for this guy and I have never met him.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/24 03:45 PM

Women here in PPD hate men. That much is certain. I wonder how many are willing to admit it.

51% of women is a statistically significant number of women. The average man already has very few dating options - now cut that number in half if he's a virgin.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/24 01:10 PM

I’m one of those dumb bitches who loves me a tortured poet. A brooding, starving artist. A wounded bird. Most women would call this men "projects". My experience is women don't want projects, they want men. Exceptions are made if you are very attractive, of course.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/24 12:23 AM

Thing is, that’s something men also say to us about men. We either say that to keep you from wondering if we're okay (easier to just not have those conversations) or because playing into the stereotype is sometimes easier than fighting back and saying "No, actually, we are hurting sometimes", which makes you a target.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/24 12:19 AM

I'm in my 30's but I am friends with men in their 20's who say it's the same with them. Women don't care what our deal is. It's just a fact of life for us.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/24 12:18 AM

What women are you talking about? I love it when my man is vulnerable I'm going to include /u/IcyTrapezium in this reply too since both of you are saying similar things in your comments. I believe you, but this is not the experience for many men, unfortunately. You are the outliers. Either a woman will say she wants a man to be emotionally vulnerable but not be able to handle it when he is or after he has been emotionally vulnerable with her, she will use that vulnerability later to hurt him by …

The sexiest thing a man can do is XYZ First, I recognize it as a lie, or at least a non-truth. Women find tall, fit, healthy men physically attractive and sexy. That's what women find sexy, not folding laundry or building birdhouses or whatever else. What the "sexiest thing a man can do" advice actually means is mostly virtue signalling. E.g. "be vulnerable", women don't actually respond well when men are emotionally vulnerable around them. "Vote pro choice", if he's attractive and wealthy his v…

At the very bottom of the sexual market hierarchy are the least sexually desirable and the ones who are unable to find a women they desire because their own desirability is too low. It's funny and telling to see the framing as "the problem is obviously with the men", without addressing issues with available women and the dating market in general.

I said neither though. Was this reply meant for me?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/24 12:04 AM

A mutually loving relationship with my gf/wife and a healthy sex life are both important to me so I choose neither. I'll be alone and probably miserable, but no more miserable than being with one of the two women you described.

share a woman sexually Never >knowingly< shared another women with a friend before and never will.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/24 08:54 PM

"I'm gonna delay doing the thing you asked of me to project how masculine I am" Same. That sounds like straight up moody teenager behavior and I have no idea why they confused it with masculinity.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/24 07:33 PM

I don't think I said that, did I? I asked why the timing of doing those special things made the difference between women finding a man submissive/feminine or not.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/24 06:45 PM

I'll agree with the idea that you should do thoughtful things for your partner without having to be told. I would like to ask: a conversation with your partner about the things you personally find special is good communication, no? There are some thoughtful things that are easier to spot - like your bf getting your favorite ice cream - but other things are harder to observe. Why would you ask someone to do something but then tell them "well...do it, but not too quickly...but not too slowly eithe…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/24 06:34 PM

I fully agree that sometimes you can discern what sorts of special things your partner likes. Other times, I think it's a good idea to have a conversation with them about it. Isn't that something that most agree is a sign of a good relationship, communication?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/24 05:48 PM
5

The point of contention seem to be if their partner started doing the thing they wanted immediately after they talked about it. The fact that they had a conversation and discussed what makes them feel special doesn't seem to be a problem. I guess that makes sense to me; how am I supposed to know what my partner feels if we don't talk.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/24 05:35 PM

I understand that it's preferable to have your partner do sweet things for you without having to be prompted. I get that. I've always thought it was useful to have conversations about what things you find "special" because that can vary from person to person. In new or old relationships communication is key, no?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/24 05:33 PM
9

It would be more of a bitch move if he intentionally keep doing the thing/not doing it just to seem cooler/more masculine/protect his ego or something. That's more in line with what I expected.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/24 05:23 PM

Nothing sexual was discussed. It was really just general relationship talk.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/24 05:12 PM

No, they didn't seem to mind telling him things they liked. That much was clear. It was the speed at which their partners acquiesced. The posit note thing was just an example they used; they weren't being prescriptive in telling their partners what to do.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/24 05:02 PM

The point of contention wasn't really about him doing it or not though. They didn't want a man who would move to do what they asked too quickly. That's what baffled me. It seems like you either want someone to do something or you don't. Why does it matter if he starts leaving sweet posit notes around the house tomorrow or a month from now?

Answering your posts means preoccupied? I check post histories always. Well no, being insistent I answer your very personal probing questions is what makes you preoccupied with me. You asked several times when it was clear I didn't want to answer you. No one who spends as much times as you do on screens has a relationship life. I do, thank you. A good one. You don't have to believe me for it to be true.

I'll post on the internet where I please. I've seen the stats myself. I found the studies that PPD references and there are a few out there; some include the qualifier "happy" marriages vs. just marriages, but measuring the same thing. Quality of the data is questionable as well, since it's self-reported. I do fine, relationship wise. You are very preoccupied with me. Why?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/24 09:25 PM
1

I see that number thrown around on PPD. Depending on the study you cite, it can be anywhere from once a week to a eight times a month. She'll have sex often enough to keep him around. If she entirely stopped having sex he might leave; that would put a major kink in the previously mentioned house and retirement plans. She'd have to start all over with some other guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/24 09:18 PM

2.5 times a week is a dead bedroom? Early in the relationship that seems normal. Later, after 1 - 2 years, I would imagine it changes significantly, adjusting to whatever she can get away with to minimize the chance of leaving her. I am not going to answer "What is it about you that makes you think a women in love with you wouldn't want to have sex with you?" btw.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/24 09:06 PM

I believe women would do this to me because it's just something women do to their long term partners. They have sex early in the relationship to ensure he sticks around long enough to cement the relationship, then stop when it's no longer required of them. This behavior gets blamed on having kids or the man not contributing to the housework but it still happens in childless relationships where he handles his share of the chores. lol @ "as a young man" I'm nearly 40, having had long and short ter…
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/24 08:50 PM

Why shouldn't I be convinced of that? It's what happens after women get married, even in cases where he is taking care of his share of the housework, even in cases with no kids to be parented. Their priorities change; they've had the exciting fun sex with their prior partners. Time for a stable income, a house, maybe a shot at retirement. Also, you are assuming I am not in a relationship. I haven't said if I am or not. This isn't about me.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/24 08:31 PM

I believe you but I don't see much evidence supporting that at a macro level. Based on survey results women seem to find the vast majority of men to be ugly. Anecdotally, the women in my life tell me they think almost all men except for a handful of celebrities are unattractive. Which changes my perspectives on relationships quite a bit.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/24 07:38 PM

You definitely appreciate male attractiveness more. Most women don't find men attractive at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/24 07:31 PM

You mean the shifter erotica where the FMCs drool over walking hypermasculinity that have literal primal, physical manifestations of male lust as an alter ego? The same erotica where the MMC is actually called an Alpha a lot of the time? I don't think it will surprise them much at all. The only thing that would be surprising is how the MMC decides to be with the FMC instead of sexing half the state.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/24 07:13 PM

It's less that women do or don't select for it and more that the supply of hot men looking for LTRs is low. If he's physically attractive he's more likely enjoying having options. Think of it like her priorities change. She's had her fun with the hot men. Now she wants a house and a shot at retirement.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/24 07:08 PM

Sex which she will engage in a few months after tying the knot before transitioning a dead bedroom. Unfortunately for the husband material, he's in a LTR so he can't escape her.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/24 05:57 PM

This isn't really news, is it? When a woman wants to get laid she chooses physically attractive men. When she is ready for a LTR she chooses men who are less physically attractive but typically have more emotional intelligence and are in a more stable place in their lives. One of the many perks of having options.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/24 05:01 PM
1

It's not about sentimentality. A woman can easily walk away from a man because she can find another man inside of a week if she's very attractive, inside of a month if she's average. There's a good chance she might even have another man on standby just in case. A man knows if a woman leaves his life he won't find another woman for potentially months. Even if she's quite attractive and has his life together, he still has to work for another partner and that takes time.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/24 03:13 PM

There's smut written for men though. Different stories by different authors, written for a straight male audience.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/24 09:43 PM

I don't disagree with you entirely but I want to add... It used to be that you would talk to a woman, she would reject you, then you would have time to process it. Go back to your friends, get some pats on the back telling you you'll get her next time. Your friends would be there for you when you failed. Those old support systems are less common. Your confidence took smaller hits, less often, and you typically had male companionship to pull you back up. Now, thanks to online dating you can be re…

/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/24 03:44 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/24 02:42 PM

Well, that might be true, but no where did anyone suggest that is what we should be doing. Quite the opposite, in fact.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/24 02:32 PM

It has also been said here that a lot of guys are willing to share women rather than have to settle for less or no one at all. With all due respect, what the fuck are you talking about? When did PPD suggest men start sharing women?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/24 02:09 PM

Predictions for this thread... Most women will say they have slept with men they found very attractive and those men sucked in bed Men in the thread will not believe them
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/24 02:07 PM

But the more i interact with and read things on social media the more i dont trust men. Please do not use social media as a barometer for an entire group of people. I beg you. Social media is designed to amplify what drives engagement and the worst of the worst stories drive the most engagement.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/24 01:35 PM

Am I acting flirtly with all women? No. I would at least attempt to be flirty with women I want to date, yes. The way that works usually starts with something completely innocent and friendly like a comment about her obviously recently done nail art or her phone case or something, then escalate to flirtation. Then, if I was being flirty, and I got the vibes she was not interested, I would back off.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/24 01:33 PM

I talk do to random guys but it's usually not the kinds of conversations I'd have with a woman so I don't consider the "Just talk to women like they're people" advice useful. I talk to women like they're women and I talk to men like they're men. E.g I'm in line at the grocery waiting for cashier to free up. Guy behind me has sardines in mustard in his cart and is not on his phone. I'd ask, "Are those any good?" He'd reply, "They're okay. The hot sauce kind are better but they're out. I get them …

If there is absolutely zero humiliation involved (I have no desire to humiliate my partner) and my partner is turned on by it, I'm willing to try it. She would need to show interest in this kink, then indicate it's definitely something she wants to experience, not just a fantasy. Lots of communication is required before we actually invite another woman into our lives. I've had periods of time where I either chose not to watch porn or could not watch porn. One time that was for a period of nearly 6 months. Women didn't suddenly find me more attractive during those times; not viewing porn had no impact on women desiring me sexually like at all.

We see media with men that have zero body hair, then we see women fawning over those men, and we assume the lack of body hair must be part of the reason. Things might change if we heard more women get hot and bothered by a guy's body hair.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/24 12:17 AM

I just said "I don't know", in my comment.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/24 11:25 PM

If sex and physical intimacy was significantly easier to obtain as a straight man I would look at porn less... probably not at all actually. Since that will never change, I will continue to support the porn industry. A before you go all "You just want to use women to masturbate!" No, I want to have sex with a woman. In a good sexual relationship, that means mutual pleasure; I want her to enjoy herself too. No, I will not pay a sex worker. Some of the enjoyment of sex comes from knowing you are d…

These might be great changes for end users but would result in the app making no money and going under inside of a year.

Guys are going to talk about their girls and girls are going to talk about their guys. We objectify each other in different ways. You aren't going to convince women to stop doing this just like women aren't going to stop men from pointing out women with massive tits and asses to their friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/24 07:50 PM

No. That's treating the symptom. I'd help him expand his social circle more, maybe work on getting more active, and have him try to spend time working on himself in general.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/24 04:38 PM

You didn't specify RP followers. You said "men" in your post title, with no qualifier. You are aware few of us follow RP ideology, right? I never thought I would have to explain to someone that men aren't all JD Vance.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/24 04:34 PM

Title: Men (no qualifier) don't want empathy, they want power Buried at the bottom of the body: Men (at least the manosphere type) don't need empathy. I mean... yes? Manosphere grifters are horrible people. That's common knowledge. What a bait and switch. I thought you were going to get real spicy.

I made banana bread. Having some with lunch right now. Turned out a little dry but still good.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/24 07:15 PM

I'm curious why women hate all men too.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/24 07:08 PM

Quite the opposite. I've had my heart hurt many times by women because I shared parts of myself with them. They made me regret opening up, crying in front of them, having other emotions besides horny and angry. Having that pain doesn't make me a jerk who would harm others. It is a little ironic that your reply to my trauma was to try and turn it into a jab though.

It's here in PPD and TwoXchromosomes. Do what is always asked of men and examine your surroundings through the eyes of the other gender.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/24 06:06 PM

They get paired up because it's economically advantageous. Two income households are the norm. If women could reliably find stable roommates they would need men even less, but as is men line up to date them so it's just objectively easier.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/24 05:42 PM

Do what most women do and don't do it.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/24 05:33 PM

Women don't care about what happens to us and have been never been attracted to us. After spending time on PPD, I firmly believe that if men started dying en masse tomorrow, women would be delighted; they neither want nor need us anymore. Our presence is a nuisance.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/24 05:27 PM

I assume women never liked men and never will. That's what they say and I have no reason not to believe them.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/24 05:01 PM

You might be on to something. What we're seeing is a result of men finding women in general to be attractive and women finding basically no men attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/24 04:42 PM

I'm new to the idea of robot women but to answer your question: companionship, emotional support, affection, physical intimacy. I read women on PPD tell me women no longer need men, I read on the internet that women don't want men either, and even off the internet women are choosing careers and friendship instead of relationships with men. If women don't want or need me I see no problem with having an android woman. It's not a real person but it's better than being actively hated.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/24 04:30 PM

Feminists say gender roles should be broken and a common gender role was having men as the initiators of romantic relationships. We're knee deep in modern feminism and that particular gender role hasn't been done away with; women are content to sit back and let men come to them. Exceptions are made for men who are incredibly attractive men with some combination of wealth and status but, again, women always put themselves in those men's paths so that's not any different than pre-modern feminism.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/24 04:22 PM

If you all learn one thing from me, learn this: do not open up to women emotionally. Not only do they not care, but they will use what you share with them to hurt you. Open up to your therapist or your priest or your dog, just not women.

Not a redpiller but I can confirm losing a little body fat + gaining some lean muscle mass netted me more positive attention from women. Far more importantly, it made me feel better about myself when I could lift more weight or run just that much farther, which probably has many downstream gains for someone still actively dating.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/24 04:07 PM

Are they expecting women to chaperone them on outings with other men and coach them to be more open? What's the practical plan here? I expected women to approached men, to initiate relationships, since men taking the lead was a thing tied to gender roles and feminism allegedly fights to break out of gender roles. Women will approach incredibly attractive men with some combination of wealth and status, but they have always done that so nothing changed really. So it seems feminism is only against …
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/24 04:04 PM

I have a feeling this will end up like Bumble's idea to have women make the first move: no woman wants to make the first move if they have the option not to - Run the risk of being rejected? No thanks! That's a man's job - so they just didn't do it. Women don't want shy men so they just won't date them. Women don't really want or need men so if they are pressured into dating shy men they just won't date at all. Whenever you have a thought about dating or relationships just run it past this logic…

Isn't it better to just be rejected from the outset? You make some good points. I might argue that for men who are less outgoing the chance to show women they are funny, interesting, and kind - which are all things women on PPD say they care about a great deal - would be beneficial. Some guys just aren't good at initial impressions and need to relax a bit, but are otherwise perfectly good men. I could also argue that going on more dates gives men experience with women, which is sometimes despera…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/24 07:58 PM

I feel everyone has trauma from the opposite sex to varying degrees. I accept fully that my gender has done some horrible things to women and that some women are going to, understandably, lash out. It does make me angry that women treat me badly sometimes. It hurts and a natural response to pain is anger. I do my level best not to let that anger cause me to be one of the men who inflict harm. I don't condone that behavior in the men around me. That's all I know to do.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/24 07:21 PM

I love the "join a cooking class!" advice personally. It's my favorite. I've been to many. Want to know who goes to cooking classes? Single men and, ironically, happy couples.

Age range definitely impacts the ratio of men looking for short term vs. long term relationships, no doubt.

I don't use Instagram. I read erotica mostly, so no, no pornstars either.

/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/24 06:00 PM

Like a fashion model? No, I haven't. Like a celebrity woman? Not especially. The conventionally attractive Hollywood woman doesn't do much for me.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/24 05:43 PM

Wealth is definitely a factor, sure.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/24 05:39 PM

Yes yes, I've heard this before. Respectfully, pass. You do not know what you are talking about. You have not lived as a dating-age man.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/24 05:05 PM

I wonder if they would want a long-term relationship with someone like that though? Anecdotally? Yes, if the Chad wants one with her. Because good looking, wealthy men have options they often look for short term relationships because for many men sex is more important than a stable long term partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/24 05:04 PM

Maybe they were referring to him acting like a Chad but not looking like one? I don't keep track of red pill news and gossip nor am I a red pill myself, so I have no idea what their deal is.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/24 04:53 PM

I feel like you are missing a key part of the male experience: we don't get options like women do. It's uncommon for a man to ever have multiple women interested in him at once. It's also uncommon for a man to have many women agree to date him ever. Online dating over exaggerates this phenomenon but the same thing happens in real life. We get the women we get and if we don't like them then we just die alone. I know the default reaction to that information is "Why don't you find joy in being sing…

Celebs are common go-tos so Jason Momoa, Chris Pine, a young Marlon Brando. Obviously not a comprehensive list but that should give you an idea. I find it unlikely the majority of women will have sex with such men once in their lives. You are right, they won't, but they want to. They desire a man like that. If not given the opportunity to hook-up with Jason Momoa, they will settle with someone else. Honestly though, I doubt you can find a concrete definition for "Chad". A good general guideline …

Being physically fit will benefit you trying to find a short term or long term relationship. Even if your love/lust interest isn't incredibly turned on by your body, fitness can give you more self-esteem and you will be healthier in general, which is beneficial to finding a gf/bf or a hook-up.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/24 03:23 PM

In that entirely fictional skit, you mean? In any case, to "friendzone" someone means person A is interested in a romantic relationship with person B, but person B is only interested in person A as a friend and nothing more. Person A has been placed in the friendzone in that scenario. The subsequent behavior of person B - be that being a good friend or using person A for free meals and emotional support - can and do happen but are irrelevant to the definition itself.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/24 02:27 PM

You need to learn the difference between a preference and a standard. Women are not only attracted to the top 10% of men. I don't know how many times y'all have to be told. Genuine question: can you prove it? I ask because my lived experiences are at odds with what you say here; women overwhelmingly seem to want a specific population of men who are a combination of attractive and wealthy. Is there data to support what you are saying?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/24 12:51 PM

Women are told to make up a low number if someone asks them their n-count; I have seen women tell other women that on reddit multiple times now. Couldn't a man just lie too? Seems easy enough. There's no source of truth for anyone's n-count, especially if he's clean of STDs.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/24 01:25 AM

What did I say that was RP theory?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/24 11:41 PM

With enough money and aesthetics, glaring, vile personality issues will be ignored by women. It's dishonest to pretend that isn't commonplace in the dating sphere. Saw a man leave his wife at a gas station as a joke. Just fucking drive off. She was clearly scared and not in on the "joke". You are insane if you think a 4 can pull that stunt and still be in a relationship the next day.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/24 11:03 PM

I'm in good shape; I lift five days a week and run twice a week. I watch my diet closely, not overeating or drinking too much alcohol. I don't smoke or vape. I take care of myself. I won't be getting plastic surgery. It's out of my price range. I'm willing to accept women not wanting me for my natural looks.

Getting a washlet was a huge QoL improvement for me considering how easy they are to buy and install. I want that for more people, so if I'm being given a chance to tell a LOT of people something instantly I choose to tell them something that I believe will make them happy.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/24 09:42 PM

To be more accurate, I should have said "In the time I have been here, I have not seen a man trying to argue with women into desiring/loving him." Point conceded. That's my mistake. However, the three examples you listed don't seem to be persuasive at all. Instead, they are calling out hypocritical or problematic behavior. Which is fair; women call out hypocritical and problematic behavior from men. There are tons of men and posts on this sub that absolutely think they can argue their way into w…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/24 09:39 PM

I'll answer your questions as objectively as I can because I want to be honest. Understand that my answers are not the answers for all men. Do you firstly ask yourself questions like: Why is she still single? Absolutely not. A lot of people are single. It's not a strike against your character to be single. Something is wrong with her if she is over (_)yo and single. No, not really. If you have been single for a long time I might wonder why but that would not cause me to pass on you. She probably…

No man is trying to argue with women into desiring/loving him. No one thinks that. You either vastly misunderstood men's posts or are purposefully ignoring the obvious. I am new here so I can't speak authoritatively but it seems men in this sub are posting because they are frustrated with the current state of dating, the hypocrisy of some women, and being left out of amazing experiences like love and sex. Do they adhere to this strictly, or with some leeway, in your experience? There is some leeway, as far as I can tell. I have no data to support the claim but I think it matters more in the lower income ranges than, say, $200k+/yr. At a certain point you both have so much money it matters less to both parties, I think. But when a woman is making $50k a year, her partner making $50k a year means her accessible income doubles. That's the difference between just surviving and having enough breathing…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/24 03:24 PM

Always nice to see a comment from you, EF. I appreciate your contributions to discussions. Women who do not want children seem to care less about a man's income but - based on my experiences - they still do care. Again, these are just my experiences dating women but the desire for a man to make at least as much money as his partner seems to represent "ambition" and "drive". Rarely do I see a woman making bank settling for a man who works an entry level food service job unless said man is absurdl…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/24 02:34 PM

I don't think the dollar amount is a factor. I think it's all about motivation. If a woman's primary motivation for finding a man is so that he can financially care for her: that is what makes her golddigger. If she manages to only grab a man who makes $30k/yr, well, she's not a very good golddigger but she's still a golddigger.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/09/24 10:00 PM

Not all women want children though. By this logic, women who don't want children should not care about a man's income but I know that to be untrue.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/09/24 09:46 PM

I can't agree with the idea all women are golddiggers. The women I talk to care about a man's income but are willing to accept a guy who doesn't make as much money if he's physically attractive. Imo golddiggers treat income as the most important quality a man can have.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/09/24 09:45 PM

I don't know about that. My first gfs took more from me than they gave but even then, there were good times I enjoyed and I learned a lot. Don't underestimate the benefits of having a partner you care for and who cares for you in return. If nothing else, it shows you and the world someone thought you were worthy enough to have a relationship with. No one should care about that - in a perfect world no one would - but we don't live in a perfect world.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/09/24 08:34 PM

Even among my Christian friends no premarital sex is seen as weird. Two people can have different sexual needs, maybe wildly different turn ons and turn offs. Not determining those needs and kinks early in a relationship can make a LTR more difficult. You are also removing many potentially good men from your dating pool by requiring men to be virgins. If he's had one sexual partner that's one too many? Really? That seems extreme. The rest of your requirements are entirely feasible and I wish you…
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/24 06:32 PM

I can't speak for all men obviously but I judge men who cheat. Even friends who have cheated because the company you keep says a lot about you as a person and I don't want to be associated with cheaters.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/24 01:06 PM

I have not, no. There would need to be an event convenient to my location and not insanely expensive.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/24 12:28 PM

Speed dating seems a bit more fair to me at first glance. It's basically doing the same thing online dating apps do except there's no matching required, you must interact with this person for 4 minutes or however long. Then, at the end of the night after the event, you get told if anyone wants a call from you. The rejection is more private, taking some of the sting out of not getting any numbers.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/24 12:14 PM

Men approach women, women accept or reject their advances. The men are the ones being rejected. The women are the ones doing the rejecting. Meaning, yes, only the men are being rejected in this scenario.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/24 12:07 PM

The prospect of being rejected by many women in a very short period of time, in a public setting, sounds awful. And I have to pay for the privilege? No thank you.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/24 12:02 PM

It's patronizing of you to act like you are doing men a favor by giving us a place to post our dating/relationship issues. You don't care; you just don't want us talking about our trauma when it's inconvenient to you. But alright, here's just a bit of what I've been through. My friends are still lonely and hurting. Good friends are not a magical panacea that heals damage caused by culture telling men we are no longer useful, that women hate us, that our desires are vile, that we don't deserve happiness with a partner. I think you don't have the foggiest idea of what to do to help men. /r/PurplePillDebate01/09/24 01:59 AM

Finding a partner is really important to a lot of guys. It seems to be way less important to women now; many PPD women constantly tell us its because men make women miserable in relationships so maybe that's why? I know it's crab bucket mentality but it is what is it. When/if the dating scene changes I will reconsider my stance on this. That, to me, is not helping with men's mental health issues at a meaningful scale. I have many guy friends and I do care about them, check in on them, etc. but t…
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/24 01:48 AM

Every man who I help receive the mental support they need is one more man competing with me for a mate. I hate that it is that way but it is. It's already difficult enough as is with 5 men for every 1 man on dating apps. I work full-time. I already donate my spare time to charitable causes. Taking on another one means less time for work and - like it or not - women really care about my income, so that isn't happening. Well, that's the issue, isn't it? Key words: "sought after". Men are doing the seeking. In OP's thought experiment the roles have been flipped and men are doing the filtering while women do the seeking. What I'm saying is I would prefer to be the one doing the filtering. I sure as hell don't get approached or persued by women, at my league or above, in any form.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/24 04:49 PM

Not an incel nor do I hold incel views. "Clingy" women are great. They exhibit obvious preference for you and clearly desire you. That's awesome. On comparison, "low maintenance" women seemingly could not care less. Maybe she cares about me, maybe she doesn't.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/24 04:15 PM

I wonder what it would be like to be with someone really enthusiastic about being with me and being that attracted to me physically and emotionally. It's something most men never get to experience. Women just don't do that it seems.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/24 03:57 PM

I believe women's experiences with online dating; I've heard both women on PPD and women in my circle of friends describe it. The unhygienic guys, the awful profile pics, the creeps, getting a tidal wave of messages and having to figure out which are genuine and which are men looking for very short term relationships. It just sounds like a better problem to have than what men go through on online dating, is all.

You could make the argument that the military could carry higher status in some places. In the USA, for example, it could. I don't know the man's service record; it's possible he was a high ranking, highly decorated man with much prestige... It's more likely he was just some soldier since that is what the vast majority of military personnel are. In the USA, a job ladling food on high schooler's bowls is not high status at all.

Two of the happiest married people I have ever known were a lunch lady at a rural high school and her retired military husband. I'm not really sure if women do really like "bad boys". I think women like excitement and for a man to be sure of himself. They would (probably) prefer the exciting and self-assured man be a kind, compassionate person but unfortunately they are often shitheels. Anecdotally, the women I know date a shitheel once or twice, have their credit score tanked by him defaulting on the car she cosigned on, then realize it isn't worth the trouble. Men like promiscuous women because sex is a lot of fun and …

That's an interesting thought experiment. I can appreciate the perspective. However, I still feel the same way. You are right that women have to sift through potentially dozens of men who want them for sex when they seem to primarily want relationships. Same routine? Work, gym, shopping for necessities? Sure. A coworker will notice her and ask her to lunch. Another regular at the gym will build rapport with her and ask her out. Something like that. This will sound strange but it actually helps me to hear there are women who want men and care for men because if you spend any amount of time on PPD you will be told single women are profoundly better off without men. That study from a few years ago asserting single women without single are happier than married women gets thrown around often. A little empathy goes a long way on both sides, I think.

We can't proceed further in fixing a problem until we acknowledge there is a problem in the first place. Also, speaking more as a human being than a man for a moment, knowing someone recognizes my plight is encouraging, makes me hopeful. Being optimistic about the future gives me - and probably most other humans - reason to try harder, do better.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 03:03 PM

I've been told by women in PPD that single women aren't lonely; they have close friend networks to replace the intimacy provided by a partner. That single women are incredibly happy without men and that's a good thing. That's why I don't think loneliness is a problem for women, not the manosphere.

If men not putting in effort is what keeps modern women from loving men, I'd rather work for a relationship and have a bad "woman picker"... Whatever that means.

I need to find these women who will do everything for me; they apparently are everywhere and yet it's never been my lived experience to have a woman put that much effort in. Women just passively accept my time and resources most of the time. I do receive companionship and intimacy in return, which I can't get in the same way from my network of friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 02:37 AM

The amount of extra work sounds on par with having a partner as a man, so I believe you. Any time I have been in a relationship with a woman it's always required many hours of my week to maintain that connection or she will start looking elsewhere fast. My main takeaway is women prefer being single because being in a relationship is work and work is hard.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 02:30 AM

If it's just a measurement of how easy life is well then we are in agreement on that: being single is easy. I don't begrudge you a generalization because women make life difficult too. Being single did make my life a lot easier; no dates to plan, no "just because" gifts to budget for, no making sure I had snacks and drinks she liked at my place, no setting aside my own difficult week to be supportive when she needs me, no helping her with her errands, no picking a work schedule that allowed us t…
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/24 08:25 PM

I'm curious what women find so incredibly enjoyable about being single. I've been single for lengthy periods of time and it was mostly just painful and I even had friends to spend time with. Even a bad relationship will occasionally offer companionship, sex and intimacy. Maybe that's the difference: a single woman can have companionship, sex, and intimacy at a moments notice if she wants but for a single man that takes weeks to months of effort.

Probably a timing thing I guess? When she had sex with her affair partner, when she had sex with her husband after their rough patch vs. when she first learned she was pregnant. I don't have much contact with either of them anymore so I can't get a concrete answer for you.

The wife did eventually tell her husband the child wasn't his, they had a paternity test done to confirm and it was not his child. I got to hear the story from both parties, so this is my understanding of what happened but I'm not omnipotent. If something seems off I guess someone lied to me but regardless, I laid out how a married woman might cheat and desire to keep the real father of her child secret from her husband.

Oh, now I get you. Sorry for the confusion. The talk with her husband and the hook up happened relatively close together. The couple had sex at least once after the talk, so the husband had no reason not to believe his wife.

I don't know what you mean by this. I just know she got pregnant and she and her husband had not been having sex for some time.

You asked for "Why?" not "How often is this happening?" I gave you one scenario in which it can happen. One that is plausible, has happened, and will happen again at some point I'm sure. It is proof of infidelity if the test comes back it's not his child. You are right that she could be sleeping with several men and just be careful and her husband would never know. However, at least in the paternity test scenario the husband could have a clean break from his cheating spouse and not be financiall…

Marriages go through rough patches and during one rough patch the wife hung out with a man she works with... She's always felt some feelings around him but up until now her marriage has been great so she's never acted on them. He's just nice to look at and maybe flirt with occasionally. One weekend, when her husband is taking his mom to her physical therapist four hours away (overnight trip), the wife gets drinks with her coworker. He's charming, supportive of her marriage woes, and wore that sh…

I know you didn't ask me but I want to respond to this. I would absolutely without hesitation give her a chance and a date. I have asked out women and been shot down in truly cruel ways. She's a woman - she could have waited patiently on a dating app and lined up several dates that month instead of talking to me - but she didn't. She approached me, chatted me up. That's amazing to me. That's someone special. I want to know more about that kind of woman.

It probably varies from organization to organization. Country and region are probably a factor to. I'm in the US and worked with wildlife rehab and river and forest clean-up efforts. To be clear, I'm not saying there weren't any young women. Just that there were vanishingly few. Also, just in general nowadays, men are constantly told to not approach women so the most you can do is engage in casual conversation or else risk giving someone the ick.

I have worked for charities and while I did see women there, they were 50+ and married. Men should definitely donate their time to charities more often - it's very fulfilling - but it's not a great way to meet younger women, which is what most of the men on PPD are looking for.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
