Advice: Getting your man to OYS?One more time: give up the fantasy that your life is going to go your way and suddenly be low stress about these issues. HappyWifeLifeX has a point: make the food available and let the guilt roll off your back. Don't heckle him about what he eats. If he guilts you about taking care of your health because he wants cheeseburgers that's his problem. Practice STFU and work on yourself and how you respond to your situation. You are not blameless here, you chose to ignore his issues and now you have t… | /r/RedPillWives | 14/06/17 05:30 PM
Advice: Getting your man to OYS?I agree with Iris and Stingray, you married the man you married (I'm Catholic too and I know leaving isn't an option so all you can do is accept and move forward) and need to give up the fantasy of having your own way and changing his priorities. He's never cared about those things and that isn't likely to change anytime soon. Focus on what you can do for yourself, improving your own health will decrease your stress, and supporting him as best you can. Take charge of your own meals, stop blaming… | /r/RedPillWives | 14/06/17 02:14 PM
Pursuing or flirting with someone who is taken?Ehh this depends a lot on how committed he is to the other woman or women he's dating. When my grandmother discussed dating with me she was of the opinion that there was a difference between a guy you're dating and a steady. In my peer group at the time that was not the case at all so it may be situationally dependent. | /r/RedPillWives | 05/05/17 02:31 AM
Pursuing or flirting with someone who is taken?I feel like if the guy is "casually dating" rather than actually committed to his girlfriend but not yet engaged OP's aunt could be slightly correct. | /r/RedPillWives | 05/05/17 02:28 AM
A Great Point About The Concept Of "Love Languages"This is exactly how I approach love languages with my husband. We took the quizzes more to appreciate how the other person tends to give love than to say "this is how you must act towards me." Knowing that his language is acts of service allows me to step back when I'm feeling a bit neglected and realize that I might be overlooking acts of love rather than not receiving any. | /r/RedPillWives | 04/05/17 08:05 PM
Depressed fiancé, anxious me :(You asked in your original post if this situation was worth dealing with, and imo it is not, especially not if you plan on bringing children into the mix. I have anxiety myself and sympathize, but it isn't a healthy environment if one or both partners aren't committed to making progress, and you know you can't do anything to make him get better. This man withdraws in a way that makes you uncomfortable, tells you to "leave if you don't like it" when you express anxiety, and you use covert contrac… | /r/RedPillWives | 24/04/17 07:43 PM
Depressed fiancé, anxious me :(You can do all the "right" things and still not have a situation work out. Not every guy is captain material. That's just life. No amount of RP theory will solve someone's mental illness if he refuses to seek help. | /r/RedPillWives | 24/04/17 04:15 PM
Sarrah Le Marquand: It should be illegal to be a stay-at-home mumWe'll make the new working mothers all work in childcare, then they'll have a job and there will be more childcare workers to watch the children of the mothers now working watching other women's' children. Brilliant! And by brilliant I mean asinine. | /r/RedPillWives | 22/03/17 09:46 PM
SolipsismOh man, this was uncomfortable for me because it's true. Half the time when people are talking I'm already composing my "empathy story" to have ready when s/he finishes 😳 I can feel myself sounding self-centered but I don't know how to stop or what else would contribute to the conversation. With DH at least I feel comfortable enough to ask "are you just wanting me to listen right now or do you want sympathy/solutions?" | /r/RedPillWives | 07/10/16 12:07 PM
Non-Mothers of RPW - Let's share our thoughts on parenting. Mother's of RPW, share your experience! Controversial Opinions Welcome.Your first point is definitely true, especially when it turns a couple into business partners rather than a family. Parenting is about teaching your kids how to survive without you, not becoming a drone with no hobbies. Some of the baby proofing is seriously extreme, however some kids seem to have a death wish. My first never got into trying to eat cleaning supplies in cupboards or bashing his head in on coffee table corners, but some kids have no sense of danger unless you teach it (or try to c… | /r/RedPillWives | 07/09/16 09:18 PM
Littleknownfacts Presents: RPW Only Works When You Have a Good Man AND You Water Your Own GrassIt is just baffling that so many who hear about RPW freak out about the possibility that the man will do a complete personality 180 and wreck our lives. This attitude kills me. "But what if you end up married to someone like Homer Simpson? You'd just let him be in charge if he sucks at making decisions or is stupid?!?' wtf people, you don't "end up" married to someone like you're tripping and falling into a puddle. Why would I marry someone I wouldn't feel was worth submitting to if wifely submi… | /r/RedPillWives | 01/09/16 03:48 AM
Name one thing you'd like to change about yourself to improve your relationship?Sorry if I made you feel like you had to justify what he asked for, words and flirting are huge for some people, that's one of my main languages actually. | /r/RedPillWives | 28/07/16 08:41 PM
Name one thing you'd like to change about yourself to improve your relationship? This is so important. I felt like a total dork, but DH and I took the love languages quiz together and realizing that we have way different languages and then seeing how making an effort to show our love those ways (instead of what we would want for ourselves) made a huge difference. | /r/RedPillWives | 28/07/16 07:34 PM
It's Almost Hilarious How Terrible This Advice IsYeah this far down on mobile it's all on the same tier, thanks for taking the time to respond. | /r/RedPillWives | 15/07/16 02:40 AM
It's Almost Hilarious How Terrible This Advice IsAs much bullshit as that article had, that didn't stick out to me that it was saying you should spend inordinate amounts of time explaining every detail to kids and answering obvious stalling and whining with reason, although I'm sure many parents these days take it to that extreme (especially ones who would stop play to ask for continuous consent). There's definitely a middle ground between unquestioning obedience "or else" (the vibe I got from your earlier comments) and whatever the article th… | /r/RedPillWives | 14/07/16 09:13 PM
It's Almost Hilarious How Terrible This Advice IsThat's exactly what I was talking about. Sorry if I misunderstood, your earlier posts seemed to suggest that asking at all was automatically whining and that even simple answers were "reasoning" and children should be expected never to ask at all. | /r/RedPillWives | 14/07/16 05:15 PM
It's Almost Hilarious How Terrible This Advice IsIf your kid is whiny and doesn't want to go places, you need to give them more off time at home or at the grandparents. Asking why something is happening isn't "whining" and how do kids learn to behave in public if every time they ask about the current errand or activity you refuse to give even a simple answer or take them? I'd love a free babysitter or nearby nothing else to do grandparents, but that's not realistic for grocery trips and other errands just because a kid isn't excited to go at f… | /r/RedPillWives | 13/07/16 09:16 PM
For Fun! What is your Political Typology?Do they distinguish between middle class and the poorer class of any particular race? | /r/RedPillWives | 04/05/16 01:06 AM
For Fun! What is your Political Typology?Do you think it has to do with having a more defined culture that an "outsider" might not understand how to really fit in with your family? I dunno if that's racist of me to think but my friends who are Hispanic or Indian talk about their families much more like "this is how it's done" more than people like myself of no particular European culture. | /r/RedPillWives | 03/05/16 08:35 PM

Simple QuestionsThis most likely depends on how long you were together, how nuclear the breakup was, and if you developed deeper friendships with the mutual friends. A cooling off period (and a strict "do not try to get us back together rom-com style" policy) may be a good idea. | /r/RedPillWives | 18/04/16 02:17 PM
Simple QuestionsI've heard that a baking soda soak will lift the stains from polish. RedditLaqueristas would know for sure. | /r/RedPillWives | 18/04/16 02:15 PM
The cup incidentNeither do I really, and I'm not even sure if that's typical for men (or people in general). I do have GAD so I figure my thoughts must be a bit more intrusive than is typical but I have a hard time conceiving of long periods of involuntary internal silence. I've never really looked to see if there's been studies done on how many people have or don't have a "head voice" type internal monologue, along with frequency and contrasted with maybe a more abstract thought process. | /r/RedPillWives | 08/04/16 11:08 PM
The cup incidentI do, not sure if it's a woman thing or an extension of how I think. I have noticed that my internal monologue never shuts up, likes to tangent, and just about demands to be shared and I didn't realize for years that maybe not everyone thinks, and by extension talks, like that. My husband says his mind is typically silent unless he's actively pondering something. | /r/RedPillWives | 08/04/16 07:19 PM

Family dinamics - Being a wife first and mom secondI have to remind myself of this constantly and it has really helped. I was a single mother for years before my husband and I got married so I was literally a mom first but child rearing is an exponential decline of energy investment while marriage is more or less a constant. My job as a parent is to teach my kids to live without me. My job as a wife is to tend my relationship with my husband every day for life. | /r/RedPillWomen | 30/12/15 03:02 PM

How do I compliment my man?In general, I think there's a trend that people tend to give the type of love gestures they would like to receive, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Either way you'll get good information, either that you should try to learn to vocally compliment better or try something else, and while some people like to maintain the illusion that one should "just know" what your partner wants, I think open communication about how to love each other better can only be a good thing. | /r/RedPillWomen | 05/12/15 02:57 AM
