Asks you what kind you watch Kissing him feels off, like he finds it unnecessary He talks about sex and sexual acts way too soon He doesn’t believe that you’ve gone a long time without sex even after you tell him that’s the case Foreplay is….minimal He is silent during sex Weird kinks, like a obsession with toys or anal Feels entitled to your body Can you tell I’ve dated a few?

How often does he use Facebook? I’m in my late twenties too and Facebook has become a social media where some people our age still use it everyday and others don’t use it at all. I think that the only excuse for the stuff you’re seeing is if he used to use this account and doesn’t anymore.

Living with my ex was the most mentally exhausting thing ever. I was a shell of myself. Watching him sit on his ass playing video games for hours and expecting me to still be attracted to him when I would spend that time working on my side business, reading or going to the gym, and that was the least abusive part. I will never forget how shitty it was and it’s made me seriously reconsider ever living with anyone again.

Let me share a story that perfectly illustrates my thoughts on this. A man that I met at mutual friends’ party messaged me saying that it was nice to meet me and we began messaging back and forth. This was before I started really applying FDS to my life and before I started leveling up. I used to binge drink and I honestly have very little memory of meeting this man because I was very drunk at the party. Not sloppy falling over drunk, but very silly carefree super friendly drunk and enough so wh…

“Out of fear of it happening to their youngest brother” what about the actual reality of the effect that it’s having on you right now? How are they “ultimately kind people” but make you feel like a whore? These are not people who have your best interest at heart. Your bf seems to be letting you take the brunt of a decision that the two of you made together. Completely unattractive and lame of him to allow his family to make you feel so consistently low.

I dated someone who in my eyes was a complete smoke show and I can relate to this post in that way. Even mundane things become more special because of that intense physical attraction. He turned out to be shit, but I’m grateful for the experience to have actually dated someone who was so gorgeous for the first time. It taught me how amazing things could be if I find the full package, and reinforced to never settle.

I always say I don’t know to directions and keep it moving if so I get a bad vibe. The fact that you didn’t have your prescription glasses on to see clearly adds extra anxiety to the fire. You don’t have to engage with anyone out of obligation. Next time if you’re startled take that as reason enough to ignore. Focus your movements on getting out of the situation.

YES. Thank you. I find it downright creepy that the group I used to be with was the same way. Like does anyone have any real emotions? I want nothing to do with my ex, let alone be forced to see and talk to him at social functions because “we re all friends.” Fuck that, we re not and if you’re friends with my ex after how he treated me you’re just as trash as him. The most romantic moment of my life was with arguably one of the most horrible people that I’ve dated. His rottenness didn’t get to damage my self esteem and worth too much thankfully, as I got I out as soon as his mask slipped. This post is great advice. Appreciate and enjoy romance for what it is, but don’t let it influence how you view a man until he has proven himself worthy of your time and attention in other ways.

You need friends who understand you on a deeper level, these people need to become acquaintances in your life. Switching angles a little bit, in some areas of your post you sound very emotionally distressed. Is this because of your loneliness? I can feel the emotions coming from your words. It sounds like you have a lot of pain that you haven’t sat with and are turning to these people to tell them “every detail” of your life even though deep down you know what they’re saying to you is bullshit. …

Anything that lessons stress on you or that makes you genuinely happy that has no benefit to him other than him seeing you less stressed or more happy. A man needs to want to make your life better and happier, and he shouldn’t be doing things like this in a transactional manner or “keeping score.”

FDS had absolutely opened my eyes to how terrible some of my friendships were. Once you see it you can’t go back. I recently had a lovely hangout with a few women from one of my old jobs. Reconnecting with them was fabulous. They are both strong and beautiful career women with self respect and empathy, and the conversation revolved around mutual interests and experiences, not men. When the topic of men did get brought up we all agreed that having a man is quite a low bar and that we only want so…

Its ok. We've all done things that have crushed our dignity. You will regain it by putting one foot in front of the other and doing things for you. Read the handbook. Scream. Cry. Let it all out. Read the handbook again and start making yourself the center of your universe. You no longer have to do anything for him, that includes apologizing or reaching out in any type of way. He is dead to you now. RIP scrote. You will blossom from this rock bottom, trust me.

Theres someone in my life who is exactly like this. I can't stand to speak or be around her anymore, it's gotten to the point where she will make fun of me and say such unnecessary rude stuff in front of anything with a penis even though shes living with her bf and has a kid with him. Pick mes know no bounds my friends, it's astounding.

2 days is too long! Missed you all so much. Your advice to your friend is golden. The guy is wasting her time and doesn't respect her at all. No woman will be a addicts first choice, the addiction will always be priority.

I think that the majority of us hilarious, talented and empathetic women on this sub have had similar experiences in this regard. I don't shame any of the posters here, so why don't we give that same energy to ourselves? The past is a important part of our level up stories. My ex was a freak about money and practically forced his way into living in MY apartment back when I was a pick me with no backbone. I absolutely hated living with him. It felt like he did it to save on money and for the convenience, like I was just something to be used for 50/50 and sex. I am so blessed that I can afford a place on my own before him and after him. I was the happiest I'd been in months the day after I kicked him out.

THIS. From the way OP put it it sounds like he is definitely promising but this is such a good point. I had a ex like this too who would do nice things but would ruin it by talking about the things that he did constantly in front of others and bring them up to me when we were alone. He also expected sexual acts in return which is a whole other story 🤢 literally makes me sick to my stomach thinking about it now.

It's all around us all the time. That's why FDS is such a godsend. I know women who are having children with men who said that they don't want to marry them "right now", women who are marrying their long term partners after the men have gotten arrests and DUI's, women who clean their partners piss off of the living room floors of their homes, women who try to make light of the fact that their live in boyfriends don't ever cook, or that they don't introduce them as their girlfriend. Preach it girl. My ex showed my family rings that he was looking at. They told me after we broke up. Did he care that I never expressed a interest to get married in my 20s? Nope. He also told me that my dad should pay for the wedding. So I get to put my boundaries aside and put my parents in debt for the grand prize of being married to some idiot who only wants to marry me to check off a item from his adult to do list? Nah I'll pass.

I unfotunately ran into a horrid ex a few months ago at a small social gathering. He looked at me like a piece of meat the entire time, told me I "looked amazing" but also said that "I'm almost 30" as if that was supposed to be a insult? Oh and he has a girlfriend who conveniently wasn't there. When I asked about her to shut him up he replied smugly "I'm going to marry her someday" again like am I supposed to be offended or upset about that? The negging in this interaction was off the charts. So…

He literally didn't give a shit at the time and then 2 months later he apologizes and tries to tell me that he misses me and that I should come over. Yeah right. So insulting. Such a creepy dream! I had a dream last night about the last guy that I cared about. He was a huge fuckboy and never met any of my friends when we were seeing each other. This was my doing because deep down I knew that I could do better than him, but physically he was insanely attractive and seemed sweet at first - pick me me didn't want to give that up (this was pre fds). 2 was my last relationship. He would make a big show of spending money on dates and trips and make sure other people knew all about that, but would do everything else listed under #2 to me. Just goes to show that money and willingness to plan dates and trips doesn't indicate HV on it's own. He was doing it to feed his own ego, it wasn't about me or a loving relationship.

I think that it's natural to be hopeful once you see some potential and some good qualities in someone. You sound like you're a sentimental and caring person. The key is to hold onto the bad memories just as much as the good whenever you reminisce. Personally there is only one guy that I occasionally think back about good times with. My other ex's make me physically ill so it's quite easy to never think of them. This guy was not anything special, and he turned out to be so low value. The differe…

It is completely disgusting. Don't let her stupidity get to you (it doesn't seem like it has honestly) and keep living your life. Jealousy and insecurity are the underlying issues here, and all we can do is pity people like this. Like, I'm so sorry you're offended that I'm single and more successful and happier than you? Wtf? These poor women are delusional.

This is so true. I once spent $11 on a organic juice on a trip and my ex commented on how expensive it was...multiple times. It was a fucking juice. I couldn't believe how butt hurt he was over it. It was MY money too, it's not like he bought it. He also complained about the price of a banana at the airport when I was looking to buy one to have a healthy snack. My parents were with us and my mom offered to buy it for me, not because I couldn't spend my own money and get it, but because I'm sure …

I have to share this: last night I was watching netflix and a steamy sex scene came on. My brain went to "its been awhile since you've had sex...what if when you're older you regret not having more sex when you were young?" In the past whenever this thought would creep in I would get a pang of anxiety. But this time, nothing. I felt total contentment with the possibility of never having sex again until I'm old if it's not with the right person. Compromising my standards and feeling this "need" t…

The point about never telling a man whether you're on birth control is so underrated. In my pick me days I thought that they had a right to know for some reason? Nope. False. One guy that I was sleeping with finished inside me and said "well you're on bc right? If it happens you can get a abortion." Right, like me getting a abortion isn't a terribly traumatic and anxiety provoking procedure. Sure. I was stressed for weeks, praying I wasn't pregnant with this neanderthals child. I found this sub when I was looking for relationship advice about a guy who ghosted me for a week after two months of seeing each other. It truly opened up my eyes as to how women are treated not just in relationships but as a whole. Why should we be expected to put up with men who say that they are really into us and then GHOST without a word? To ignore every single red flag waving at us? How is that okay? Before FDS I would find myself thinking of any excuse to justify this behavior. After bei…

My brother is the one of the only men in my life who NEVER does this to me (every ex that did is gone thank god). He stays beside me when we're walking, walks closer to the road if we are beside traffic, and holds doors for me. If we're driving somewhere when I'm wearing heels he'll offer to drop me off at the restaurant or whatever, park and then walk to meet me there so I don't have to be uncomfortable. This is such important behavior. I love him to death and I'm never going to date anyone who…

Definitely, its terrible. And that can start so young. I was in a relationship with a guy when I was 15 and he was 18. I'm only now starting to see how fucked up it was that a 18 year old was interested in me at that age. I definitely idealized him and he did and said things in the relationship that made me feel like I needed to grow up quickly to "be on his level," otherwise I felt like I wasn't good enough. It's taken me so long to acknowledge that a lot (if not all) of my issues with relation…

Whenever I see this type of situation I think of a analogy that I've heard recently: your shoes are your posessions. Do you wear every pair of shoes that you own everyday? No, you keep them in your shoe closet, sometimes for weeks, months, years until you have the right occasion to wear that specific pair of shoes too. Even if you're not wearing those shoes, would you want someone else to wear them? No, they're your shoes and you just don't have a use for them right now. This is how guys view us…

Gross. Why do so many guys have no regard for cleanliness/respecting household items? I lived with my ex for 4 months and within that time he broke the doorknob to the front door, the toilet flush handle, and my coasters. He also ran into a lamp and dislodged the light bulb so it hung crooked, and splattered candle wax all over a white wall by blowing it out too hard??? Like what the fuck? No self awareness or care for the living space. It felt like living with a massive toddler.

I'm so glad I took the time to type it out. Trust me, it will get better. Focus on you ❤ Even if you're depressed as fuck right now it's a better state of depressed than questioning your self worth because of some lame guy. As long as your self worth is intact you can get through anything.

Thank you so much! ❤ Keep in mind that I came to this conclusion after he began texting really short and cold messages, ignored me for a entire day after I texted a question, and then no communication between us for 5 days. When he finally texted with a lame "long time no talk" message and an offer to explain himself (not even a explanation, just a offer too as long as I replied) I knew that this would be heartbreak city if I stuck around. His switch up on me lasted for a little over a week befo…

Appalling. Honestly why the fuck would any adult human being put up with someone so incredibly callous? I get that she has kids with the guy but wow. I would rather never look at a man again than have her life.

Yes it's a huge victory. I ended a situation that I was in with my dream guy (physically) who seemed to be amazing (at first) a couple of months ago. He pulled out the busy and depressed at work card as to why he suddenly started taking way too long to text me back and conveniently also stopped complimenting me and showing any affection at the same time. It was weird af because as far as I knew, he still had the same job with the exact same responsibilities that he had when we first starting dat…

Why do you think this is? My theory is because they're insecure and once you show them that you like them back they think you're stupid for falling for them. Then comes the shit communication because they're just so busy, but we're stupid and like them sooo much so it's fine and we'll put up with it. No thanks.

This is very true. My last long term ex was such a piece of shit about physical intimacy. He never wanted to cuddle or hold hands because he was literally too overweight and would get hot and sweaty whenever I was too close too him for too long. Oh but blow jobs were a must and if I wasn't in the mood I didn't ApPreCiAtE him. It was disgusting. The next guy that I dated was so affectionate with me and loved to cuddle and nap together. My sex drive and desire for close physical contact went throu…

You're almost guaranteed to see them flaunting a replacement, most likely their ex. Save yourself the trouble and count your blessings that it's no longer you in that pick me position 👋

I wish I had a award to give you! The porn mag analogy is spot on. I went on a dinner date with a guy a couple weeks ago. He was incredibly emotionally immature despite being 3 years older than me. I checked after the date and sure enough his following list was full of half naked women who don't know or care about his existence. It never occurred to me that he was scrolling through them while I was in the bathroom on our date. Cute.

Dude. Yes to this a million percent. My ex made me a little book of all of the things that he liked about me for Valentine's day. At the time I thought it was so cute. Every single thing was how I made him feel. One of them literally was "I love how accommodating you are" with a picture of me bringing him a drink like a waitress working for free. I cringe thinking about it now.
