Has he always been like this? (Both the grumpiness and the cleaning/chores)? How did he keep his place before you moved in together? Is he responsible in other areas? Have you talked to him about the chores yet? Also just ask yourself... if he DOESN’T change, how would you feel? Would you want to commit to him knowing that he would always be this way? Does the good outweigh the bad? Remember, if you have kids the load will be significantly bigger than it is now, and you will likely be more isola…

Oh and I want to add - since you said the OP wasn’t exactly the full picture - most of this depends on your dynamic as well. There’s a huge difference in a man being like, “Hey, since we’re living together I’m a little unclear which chores you’d like to take on vs which you’d prefer I do. It’d be great if you could make a list so we can split them fairly.” Vs him just ignoring the chores altogether and expecting you to do them unless you specifically ask and being like “yea sure, just write down…

Do you have other friends/family around who are positive and fun to be around? I’d say work on maintaining those relationships because whether it’s positivity or negativity you’re around, it rubs off and if you end up isolated with just a grump you’re going to be miserable. Don’t give him a chore list, or you’re just taking on the additional job of, just like you said, being the mom who makes/enforces the chores and he leans more and more heavily on you as the leader. You don’t want him to walk …

Living with someone with a default grumpy mood will rub off and suck the life out of you over time. And you’re already feeling like his mother.... eek. If he isn’t willing to change no amount of trying on your part is going to ‘fix’ him. Together one year and early twenties, no kids? IMO, cut your losses and move on before he drags you down. If that sounds too drastic I’d at least suggest taking a serious break in which you are living separately so you can make sure you have your head right, and…

I’m in my late 20’s and totally know what you mean! I think in reality I’m not actually losing my looks yet but it’s so weird seeing teenagers now and realizing that’s not me anymore. I think the real issue is that at this age, we’ve been ‘young’ all our lives and now we’re having to adjust to a new reality/worldview if that makes sense. I’m sure you still look young and beautiful! Don’t feel too bad about it, we truly aren’t anywhere close to “old” yet unless you’re asking a teen! I just saw an…

Why did he want to drive the car? How did the issue get resolved? (Did you ‘rescue’ him, was he late to work..?)

You are a woman and no matter how you were raised you are not “a wolf” when all other women are “sheep”. You are genetically a woman just like the rest of us so remember that! there are women who are short, tall, thin, curvy, muscular - it’s a huge spectrum but we are all women. Not a black and white “everyone else is feminine and there’s a hard line that you’re on the other side of.” I think you really need to remind yourself of that because your mindset is definitely detrimental here. Also I u…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
