Maybe read the article and it might tell you. The headline literally says “here’s why”

Plus-sized is a term that grew out of clothing stores. The equivalent for men is "Big and Tall." That and everything else people have already ripped the article for makes this pretty dumb

Or this sub and other places like it take seriously parody accounts way too often because of the fun of circlejerking. Meanwhile, every time such a shallow evaluation leads to a parody account being taken seriously (the goal of the account being to rile up people like you), the stereotype is falsely reinforced

if a knight found a damsel or wench alone, he would, if he wished to preserve his good name, sooner think of cutting his own throat than of offering her dishonour; if he forced her against her will, he would have been scorned in every court. But, on the other hand, if the damsel were accompanied by another knight, and if it pleased him to give combat to that knight and win the lady by arms, then he might do his will with her just as he pleased, and no shame or blame whatsoever would be held to a…

Ironically, I think you're safe. Mod said he's ignoring all reports. Not that being banned would be any great loss

What if she responds that she has been told implicitly all her life that she wouldn't do well in STEM? That, from a young age, she was encouraged to play with process toys and make up stories while her brother was the one who built things with Lego. Or how she got discouraged when she got into a challenging math class and didn't receive enough attention to help her push through to understanding. Or how her peer group was made up of young women looking ahead to studying things all outside of STEM…

I'm not a medievalist nor a comparative lit guy, so someone more widely read in the area could probably say more on the subject, but, from my understanding, this is correct. Chivalry is a concept we know of more from people talking about it hundreds of years after the fact than anything. That said, some accounts are more earnest than others - to oversimplify, the three genres we might break chivalry narratives into include "histories" (like Monmouth's History of the Kings of England or Mallory's…

English PhD candidate chiming in to be pedantic and depressing! if a knight found a damsel or lorn maid alone, and if he cared for his fair name, he would no more treat her with dishonour than he would cut his own throat. And if he assaulted her, he would be disgraced for ever in every court. But if, while she was under his escort, she should be won at arms by another who engaged him in battle, then this other knight might do with her what he pleased without receiving shame or blame. -Chretien d…

Mr Farrell said that despite an innocent man "feeling the full weight of a police interview", he bore "no harm or ill will" to Tait. Smart man. If anything happens to her, you don't want to be quoted in the paper saying "I hope she gets what's coming to her"

What's the point of adding years to a sentence if they run concurrently? Is it that she now can't get parole or something?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
