1	WTF!? I just received (expected) paperwork Hire an attorney if you can. Expect to pay tons in fees and temporary child support. Cost me about $35k to get 50/50 and still have to pay CS cause of the salary difference we each make. 1	I’m unhappy and can’t seem to appreciate life Im in Illinois, I have the 50/50 in writing and waiting to go to court to finalize custody. Once custody is determined the next step would be to go to court for an updated child support calculation. Since I make 30k more I have to pay 1k a month (this is based off a 30/70 split prior to the 50/50). This is kinda messed up 0-39% custody is the same child support. 2	I’m unhappy and can’t seem to appreciate life Thank your response. Im trying to be the dad I wish I had growing up. Starting to realize enjoying life with loved ones is more important than the corporate rat race. Thats funny I remember longing for a few Valorant games and jumping on discord with my friends. Chuck e cheeseC movies, park, video games, chess, and hearing about his day is what I live for :). I hope one day if hes ever asked “if you had 5 minutes left to live and you could spend it with one person, who would it be?” He mentions me. Not dating as of now since I know my time is limited before he gets to the age where his friends are a priority over boring dad haha.
