5	Will Holding Men Responsible Improve them? So the issue with this is that it puts the burden of man's action on the women. I'm actually all for women being able to behave like a pickme if she so chooses. To me, purity culture actually is a form of holding men accountable (typically to marry someone) by policing the actions of women. For example, in purity culture the guy doesn't get to have sex unless he marries. I just don't think it actually works to do it this way.
