Low reps and higher weight will add mass. Double KB movements are critical, and also fun. Cleans, front squats, clean & jerks. I can’t remember the guys name but he was a power lifter that couldn’t deadlift for some reason. He ended up doing a ton of swings instead and when he could finally barbell deadlift again he actually gained strength in that exercise. The hip hinge movement carried over very well.

What’s worked for me is I see a post or several posts from a particular user that I resonate with. Say we start liking each other’s posts and maybe one DMs the other at some point. You can chat there for a few days or weeks then transition to telegram/WhatsApp or whatever. Continue just like any other friendship then even meet up if you travel a bit. I’ve done this. Take initiative, reach out, and engage in follow-ups - most people suck at the latter on particular.

MX residency is one of the easiest to obtain, so if one is willing to put in some effort and can show a modicum of savings or income it's a piece of cake and has a lot of benefits now and in the future. I also heard about them cracking down on tourist visas - basically if you tell them you're only here for a few weeks on vacation they'll only give you a visa for that duration now.

I'm in a similar position as you - recently got approved for residency and just need to finalize at a local INM when I enter the country. I'm flying down in a month and working with a visa consultant to get my card exchanged same day, then plan on staying in the country for a few months.
