Leave her a copy of Stephen King's "On Writing." Inform her that purple prose is a deal breaker. PS Embers aren't green, woman! Jesus!

Never been to Panama, but you're right - CR is going the way of Mexico in a lot of ways. I dig remodeling myself so I'd be the odd one out in that conversation, but could definitely add to trailer parking. It's strange and mysterious to me how many people are so so SO bad at it...

As a woman, I'll give you a quick synopsis of the last few conversations I participated in/enjoyed yesterday (so far this morning the only other "person" I've spoken to is the dog): I spent a good portion of the morning finalizing details for week two of elk camp, where bulls were moving, weather, and all of that somehow devolved into cast iron skillet recipes. I took a call from a friend wanting a recommendation on a card with good travel points/perks. We talked about Costa Rica for awhile and …

Cheating isn't a set of universal guidelines, it's defined by each relationship. If spin the bottle is cool in one relationship, great, but it's clearly not in yours. If you're not okay with it, it's no one else's business to tell you that you should be. I can see where people would shrug it off as "just a game" and not take it seriously but, again, that's up to each couple to decide. Draw the line where it's comfortable to you.

Same boat as /u/I_am_gheyy here - I've helped friends move and move cars before without sex or sexual tension being a factor. Marathon road trips can be fun.

Move on to women who don't think twerking on social media is attractive or acceptable "social proof."

Effort is her responding when you need or want something, even if it doesn't necessarily do anything for her. Would she come help you move if you asked? Go out of her way to pick you up if your car broke down? Bring you a cup of soup if you're feeling lousy? Stuff like that.

You may think of her as your best friend, but you're definitely not hers. Even if she's not into you romantically or sexually, the one sided nature of this isn't how friends who like and respect one another act. Unless she makes an effort I'd move on. And I'm talking ACTUAL effort, not "hey come bring me a coffee on my lunch break" still using you effort.

General rule of thumb: if you have to tell people you're the King, you're probably not. Less talking, more doing. Think about going to a club and meeting a guy who won't stop talking about how great a dancer he is, but he never gets up from the table. Do you think anyome is going to be impressed, or do you suppose they're going to be on the floor with the guy who's actually dancing??

Women who don't have other women as friends generally (prepare to be shocked!) don't like other women. As a result, other women tend not to like them back. There's typically some underlying insecurity or flat out misogyny at play, so the rest of of Team Double X Chromosome steers clear. How many times have you heard one of these women say, "oh, I'm way more like one of the guys so other women don't like me! Guys are so much more chill, women are too much drama!" Or my other personal favorite, "o…

I would strongly suggest you express your concerns to an attorney and put a plan of action in place in case she decides to bounce. You don't want to be scrambling to make critical decisions in the midst of an emergency. Besides, knowing what to expect and how to handle yourself in the face of a problem will give you the confidence to deal with her threats calmly and rationally - that'll come across, she'll realize she's not intimidating you anymore. There's a reason cops and firefighters appear …

You're statistically in more danger from someone you know and someone you invite in than a stranger at the door, so not a totally equal comparison but to answer your question, yes, most women home alone do think about opening the door to a stranger. I personally am less concerned than most because I own a personal protection dog, but I do assess who's there regardless. I'm still not sold on the premise that your coworker is a result of any type of indoctrination, feminist or otherwise, so much a…

Male or female, you gotta take care of your own business. You can't trust others to watch out for you. There was a question posted here a day or so ago about trusting women to exclusively handle birth control and abortion decisions. The overwhelming sentiment was "OP, if you want to be in control of the outcome, you control the variables." I don't recall a single person chiming in with "gosh OP, presuming all women are malicious sperm burglars is really playing into today's climate of anti-femal…

Handle your own business. If you don't want a child, take all necessary precautions not to have one. Period. This isn't even a matter of trusting someone or not, because mistakes can happen and accidents occur even with women who don't want children themselves.

Of course, as my original comment suggests. The key is "a bit cocky." A bit. It's one of those things where a little does indeed go a LONG way.

The same thing she could do if you were legally married in most states. Check with an attorney in your area.

It's not the cockiness that's attractive in those scenarios - it's the rock star status, the billionaire bucks, the pro athlete fame. Because of those things people overlook the cockiness.

Quiet confidence comes across as genuine, cockiness can seem silly and insincere. A little bit of cocky is fun, too much and, yeah, people are going to wonder what you're covering up or if there's any real substance to you. Diversify - show you can be a little of both.

Then offer a single option if slightly more dictatorial is your speed. Whichever preference she expresses still ties into the end goal of splitting the tab and building the expectation that OP isn't down to fund the evening - it's simply the more classy way to divide things up if she's drinking something considerably more or less expensive than him.

Very basic etiquette suggests the person who initiates the date pays for (at the very least) the first round. If you invited her out, when the waiter comes to the table say "I'd like to take care of the first round then we're on separate tabs." If it's a mutual, casual, no one really asked the other person out type situation just ask her before the waiter gets to the table, "do you prefer to trade off rounds or just split the tab at the end?"

Ive traditionally made more than the partners in my dating relationships. The only time it's been an issue is when he just couldn't let it go. Constantly talking about it, making snide comments, letting the insecurities surface over and over and over - THAT'S what kills things.

I don't get it, this happens every single night, several times. I don't mean to be terribly obvious here, but you're at work. It's your job to make customers feel wonderful. Your game is standard operating procedure for every waiter/bartender ever. Your customers assume you're looking for a good tip or a good review, not a date. If you don't make that clear (which is, admittedly, terribly sketchy professionally) why would the average person be encouraged enough to risk embarrassing themselves or…

Average is just shy of 6', but you see guys a hair taller as well. It's a decent height range to optimize muscle and tone without looking compact and bulky.

It's not terribly difficult to be tall as a woman, no...lol (Well, unless you're shopping for pants that fit.) Very few of us actually care if you're taller, save for the fact that a tall man will be a LOT less likely to keep harping on the fact that we're tall. That's the problem with many shorter men - they create a problem where there isn't one.
/r/TheRedPill20/07/14 07:04 PM
3

Yes they do. I'm 6' myself and I've lost count of the men several inches shorter than me who announce they're 6'1" or 6'2". I may not be able to guess your height by a sideways glance across the room but I'm aware enough to know how tall I am and that I'm looking down at you.

Stereotypes vs reality. I've listened to girls all my life detail the "perfect" man as tall, throw out a random measurement as their ideal, then go out and five minutes later describe a tall man as too lanky or skinny and shower their attention on a well proportioned guy of average height. When I worked in the modeling industry, the men were typically 5'10" or 11", usually topping out at just a hair over 6'. The 6'6" pipe dream this article is throwing out there doesn't take into account that mo…

Any model who has been in the business for more than five minutes realizes something = beauty is fake as shit, no matter how attractive you are you're gonna get airbrushed just to look presentable, and there's always someone younger and prettier. Yes, that trips the insecurity trigger in plenty of girls and they become picky as a way to keep themselves surrounded by the plastic pretties of the world as long as possible, but there are just as many who are simply happy a cool guy wants to take us …

It's only a big deal if you make it a big deal. I'm 6', my little sister is 6'2", and when I was modeling years ago somewhere in that range was absolutely standard. And guess what? Contrary to popular insecurity, not a tall girl I can recall gave a rat's ass unless the guy in question just couldn't let it go. Sure, most people prefer someone somewhat close to their own height, but whether the difference is up or down seems moot. Want to overcome it? Don't let it turn into something to be overcom…

Unless you're having sex with her, women are worthless as friends. If you feel used, treated like an orbiter or someone there simply for validation, yeah, drop her. That goes for guys in your life too - if you're giving more than you're getting on a regular basis, find friendships with more of an even balance.

His position isn't one of status, but it's similar to what I do with my consulting so we had quite a bit in common professionally. I could relay what I was working on, he could tell me about his goals and challenges and it was easy to strategize together. What gave him value in my life was that overall commonality to build our partnership on - passions for the same activities, similar ways of thinking, similar morals and values, amazing chemistry. Not married, no. Engaged, so your guess is correct for another couple of months. :) I absolutely agree a woman wants to see her partner as successful, and that men are judged by their careers. I'd admittedly have a problem with a person who struggled to hold down a job, was financially irresponsible, or constantly griped about his work without actively doing something to improve his situation. you have to adopt a female perspective when objectively looking at this matter. Female perspective chiming in. I've made more than the men I've been in relationships with more often than not. Have the two of you clarified what she finds gross about it? Is it a cleanliness issue? Taste? Does it hurt her? If the problem is a variable that can be adjusted so you're both happy, awesome. If she's unclear as to how much this really means to you, again, you're going to have to clarify some things with her. Run a quick one to ten with your wife - if, on a scale of importance, this is an eight to you but only a two or three in her mind then discuss. If BJs are just so outside of her comfort l…

Financially, you are correct. It IS much cheaper to stay in a partnership than it is to separate. However, and this may just be due to my age, it seems more and more custody battles are not so much of a battle but an even split of the children's time. Granted, even if a dad were to get the kids half of the time, it's still no fun to be a part time parent and I get that. My curiosity still remains, however - all of these are good reasons to stay married but none of these are particularly good rea…

Question for the guys... A number of the men I know who are divorced or in unhappy relationships have commented they waited for their wives to file. They didn't want to "abandon" their women, even though in a number of situations they were engaged in affairs or living their own, separate life anyway and not really what a person would consider a partner. The woman didn't initiate, per se, she just finally pulled the trigger. That would definitely skew a study. Ideas?

Yes, there's a very real need I have as a woman (and that most women around me possess) to be recognized, heard, and validated. Venting and expressing stresses and concerns works to make me feel better even if I haven't yet tacked the source of my issue. I'll periodically tell my SO "I need 10 minutes just to bitch. I don't need a solution yet, just let me get this out." (I do set a time limit because after awhile, venting without working a plan to fix things becomes nothing more than emotional …

I think saying "no" does make it known. I'm not saying people don't change their mind, they clearly do (sometimes even in the course of the same evening), but making assumptions on what a person really wants based on the fact they don't leave as soon as something they're not interested in is suggested is pretty bold. Example: we're making out, you start to take it further and I say no. You initially back off, we go back to making out. Obviously there's attraction, but the fact that I'm still the…

They were all the same price - I paid a lump sum for a two day rental, they had an abundance of cars so they let me choose. Volume at play. I wouldn't have gotten money back for choosing the Aveo, wouldn't have cost extra to grab the Mustang. All sorts of options for the same cash.

I don't even know that it goes as deep as entitlement in many cases. Absolutely in some, but for most look at it this way: I rented a car last week in Phoenix. The gal sent me out to the lot, told me all the keys were in the cars, and to pick what I liked. There were 50+ cars in the lot - everything from a Chevy Aveo to a couple drop top GTOs. I didn't go out there with a "there better be a Benz or I'm walking!" attitude, but given my options of course I went for what I considered the nicer car.

I would certainly hope so...lol It's not difficult to spot. And that's the point. With such a broad criteria for acceptance, the average woman is bombarded with attention on an Internet dating forum (not always great attention, mind you, but attention). Yet, you're looking for a more complex explanation as to why a regular joe profile isn't attracting a following when the answer is nothing more than simple numbers.

There may be a simpler explanation here than hypergamous female behavior: sheer volume. It's been a number of years now, but I posted an online profile back when I was single too. I didn't put anything more than a few basics and when I came back a few days later to flesh it out my inbox was already flooded. My peers' experiences have been similar with nothing more outstanding on their profiles than mid-twenties without an ex-husband and a pack of kids. It's an odd world online, standards shift t…
