Yeah I agree. "Make them be in the front line" is what the original commentor said. Not "let them have the opportunity to be on the front line" And besides, my point was about the representation of the community.

I think that making a joke about putting women on the front line, in such a tone, poorly represents this community and the ideology. To you, its a joke. To others, it's a reason to devalue the message. Yes, I think it is sexist that only men are part of selective service. But I'm not going to joke about killing women. That's disgusting.

Oh I know, I wasnt making a statement. Just clarifying the purpose of the study. I felt the commenter was linking a study trying to make a point that the study did not suppport. You are correct, odds ratios for substance use and mental disorders are high. It would have to be a pretty impressive study to justify mass vilification of men. A flawed selection process such as this does not convince me. It doesnt matter that it was sweden. I dont know anything about sweden. Idk where the commenter is …

To be fair, you are misrepresenting that study. The whole study is about recitivism. For clarity: The conclusion and point is: 1% of the population commit 63% of crimes. But regarding your point, in actuality 3.9% of the population had at least one violent conviction. And of those, 89% of them were men. So "because some shit 3.5% of the population have done." is more accurate. Additionally, taking a look at the gender variable, it shows that the more crimes someone commits, the more likely they …
